If your rearview mirror mount has a screw in it, it should work just fine. If you dont have the power going to your rearview mirror you may have to wire it to the fuse box. Other than that it should work just fine.
Glad to see that they have one for the F-150. I installed a FITCAMX in our Avalon a couple of years ago and loved the fact that they designed it to fit and grab power from a local location. Previously wired a different dash cam in my 2019 F150 and it was a project. Will definitely get a FITCAMX on the new truck. Thanks!

Did you install this camera? Your phone may be connecting to the wireless of the camera. You can’t connect to the camera and wireless CarPlay at the same time. One or the other. Carplay uses the wireless radio in your phone so if it’s using it nothing else can use it. Hope this helps.
Why would you bother with hardwiring when using the power from the mirror is so much easier and quicker to install? Is there a reason for hardwiring? Generally to hardwire you run the wires up into the headliner, over to the drivers side pillar, down behind the pillar and into the fuse area. There you need to find a fuse that is powered when the car turns on. Use a fuse tap to get power from that fuse.

Mitch , I've installed my camera in a 2021 Ford F-150 I'm having an issue connecting to the Wi-Fi it seems to be interfering with my Android auto are you familiar with this issue? If so can you help?
@@blunt1997 I don’t have an android but if it is similar to apple, whenever you connect to android auto the phone disabled the Wi-Fi antenna or it uses it for android auto. In order to connect to the Wi-Fi of the camera you would need to disconnect your phone from android auto. Do this from the phones section in the ford menu. You can reconnect it to android auto when you are done connecting to the camera.

I kinda lost my wireless Apple car play and it only works (22 f150) when I plug my iPhone via usb

I have followed these instructions and have received replacements from FITCAMX I can’t get it to power on my 23 f150 any help !
Check the wires in the fitcam harness to see if they match up with the ones in the mirrror harness. They may have wires in the wrong spot.
How does it work on the 2015 ford f150 super cab? Also does it have a rear camera as well?
Should work the same on the 2015. They sell one that has a rear camera but the one I have is only front facing. Hope that helps. Take care.

How long does it record before it starts recording over itself?
Depends on the size of as card you use and your settings. Also depends on how many hours you drive.
Any issues with connecting and CarPlay? It says when it connects, it ends my CarPlay session in my F150.
It’s because CarPlay disables the Wi-Fi on your phone. You can’t use both at the same time. Not sure why carplay disables your Wi-Fi, but it does.
