- I'm shopping in Home Bargains today. It's bulging full of Christmas stock, so I have a good old look at that. I have my shopping list to hand, but I'm also making a start on buying items for an advent package to post off to my daughter in university. I have a holiday booked so of course, I'm also having a look at the holiday and travel items too.

I was in Home Bargains yesterday and there was a group of ladies swearing and cussing all the way round .Every time i looked around there they were. I couldn't shake them off. Couldn't wait to leave
Yes Imo...the downsizing of the amounts in packs (like 5 bags of crisps instead of 6) has been creeping in rather surrupticiously (in my opinion) lots of things have got several grams lighter...some bags of crisps are now only 20g- they used to be 25g and other products are following suit whilst at the same time putting the prices up. It's really sneaky and the manufacturers think we are all so stupid we won't notice...hmmm...
Thank you for showing the total price of your shopping... it was such a bargain, and it was great to see how much it all came to in total! I'd definitely keep watching until the end to see the total cost 🤗👏
The only notifications I have enabled on my phone are Messenger and WhatsApp... and they're on silent so aren't too distracting.
Making things with less in a package is common here. Even our toilet paper is a half inch narrower and less ounces in boxes and bags of nuts and dried fruits. I think you should send Izzy a box not an envelope of goodies! Bigger surprize. Lots to see with Christmas coming. Too bad you couldnt make a christmas skirt out of a tree skirt!

Yes, unfortunately Portugal tends to be pricey when it comes to pharmaceutical things like aspirin, Ibuprofen; sticking plasters etc... Romania is the same. We always stock up in the UK or Australia... normally at Wilkos in the UK but alas, it is no more 😢
