Yeah, bro needs to trust that people WANT to hear about the work. The clickbaity title is a copout. Or maybe that's what he wants to talk about and provide to listeners, I wouldn't know. But it would be a shame if he wanted to go deeper on the comments about the work itself, but didn't out of fear that it wouldn't get the views; it's not a "Madonna-only" podcast, at the end of the day, so that might be off-brand. But my suspicion is, the vast, vast number of people tuning into a Niki/Donna interview would *devour* hours of content that focused on the process (studio, stage, etc).
Carpenters song ? I wonder if that’s the song first is a kiss which is unreleased from like a prayer - Stephen bray talked about that last year and I’m so desperate to hear it as he says it sounds like a carpenters song ❤
Ironic that Niki says at one point people should just shut up sometimes when she's the one hogging the interview. Geez, it's annoying and rude fir her to not to step back and allow the other two people talk.
Way too expensive for this tour. I’ve seen all tours drowned world-rebel heart. Almost double. Even though she’s singing bad girl, I just can’t afford it! Maybe if she sang Who’s that girl? Then I could justify it.
Let’s just remember that there were plenty of articles and shock jock DJs talking about low ticket sales in the last weeks of the Sticky and Sweet tour and look at the stats on that tour. There is no way a concert that costs that much to produce would go ahead if ticket sales were that low.

It could have been two other girls, so easily. But you hit the jack pot! "Lucky" and talented are you! AND you know it! And at 65 , she's got the guts to still get out there! I give her , her props.
Even as a fan for almost 40 years I thought that the hospitalization was a marketing lie. Too many things that don't add up... no photo of her leaving the hospital in a city like New York? Rocco photographed under the house he smiles. And then I tried intensive care and it leaves you almost disabled for months, and I even asked a doctor I know, and he confirmed to me that a person who leaves intensive care two months later cannot face a tour of almost 80 dates, it's impossible he said!! In Milan during a break in the show a fan (while Madonna was talking about hospitalization) shouted at her "you're a liar!!!"
A marketing lie? That just lacks critical thinking. All because you didn’t see a photo? Rescheduling an entire tour is NEVER financially smart, there are penalties and it’s a logistical nightmare. It’s horrible PR, particularly from someone already battling ageism. She still gets emotional discussing it. Is she suddenly an amazing actress? When she did resurface, she clearly lost a ton of weight. I could go on and on but let’s just focus on the fact that paparazzi didn’t catch a photo.
But we need to be honest too. Madonna isn't the vocalist or performer she was in her prime. That's a fact. And there is nothing wrong with saying that. I appreciate that at 65 she thinks she can put on the sane kind of show she did 30 years ago. I would have preferred her design the show around her vocals and music, and not so much on the spectacle and glitz. Do it in smaller venues too. But it seems she feels the need to compete with the Swifts, Beyonces, and Perrys of the current music world. She doesn't. She shouldn't feel she needs to prove anything to anyone, including herself. My fear is that she's more like Elvis was in his later years, a parody of themselves. Suffering from a Peter Pan syndrome of never wanting to grow up or grow old.
You hit the nail on the head. She's a woman in her 60's, competing with women in their 30's and 40's. She is absolutely a parody of herself at this point, but women aging in the Hollywood spotlight are always picked apart. Madonna's problem is that she refuses to believe that her best recording & performing years are behind her.

I appreciate their loyalty and staunch advocacy for Madonna's talent and work ethic but I can't help but think that the ironclad NDA's they signed play a huge role in their wholly positive rendering of their experience. They weren't around the last 20 years of M's career when a major shift occurred.
