We live in a great and beautiful age to where we can hear songs sung in the languages of olde with beautiful scenery and great music. Really makes you feel like you're almost traveling back to a simpler time in humanity.

It’s one of the prettiest songs I’ve ever heard - I’m learning Old Norse and Icelandic and Faroese and the other Germanic languages, and I am intermediate level in Norwegian / German / Swedish and advanced level in Dutch, so I can understand most of the lyrics, as I have memorized / learned the lyrics to many of these songs and many new words in Old Norse!

If you want to know what it's about, it refers to an old myth about Eitri and Brokkr. Long-ish story short: Loki made a bet with them, saying they couldn't make finer gifts than the thing he had. They accepted the challenge and while they were at work, B got stung by a fly (whom may or may not have been Loki) but the brothers managed to win.

Rough Translation... Probably... that the 2 Dwarfs Brokk and Eitri tried to help Thor to craft again his hammer because Loki destroyed it and split the 2 pieces the hammer and the handle across random places in Midgard, Later, they helped seal a Hades Gate at Nifleheim (Underworld), by restoring Mjolnir, the hammer of Thor. Brokk and Eitri are also known for making the Battle Boar which pulled the cart of Freyja. The plot of the Golden gift (Golden Boar), is about Brokk and Eitri having a feud on who will make the Golden Boar first and sacrifice it to Freyja, they are turned against each other when Loki tricks them into believing their respective brother is out to build the boar and take credit for themselves. They eventually figure out Loki's involvement and work together against him, and retrieve the golden boar which Loki had stolen in the confusion.
Brokk (known in Old Norse as Brokkr)
Eitri (known in Old Norse as Heitri)
Pretty much in simple words means that this is a celebration song for their accomplishments

There was some literally a few black ppl in the Norselands back then. They were thought of as "blue" and until recently racism wasnt really an issue. This is music from the heart of life. And it is to every soul.

I'm a Hispanic man born in Puerto Rico. I currently live in Florida (unfortunately). I grew up on salsa and dance music, never once having heard of this genre. I am a first time author with one book published. I'm currently writing the follow-up to that book which is based on the times of the Vikings. Wardrunas music along with several others are an integral part of my writing process. Their music is so captivating that it literally transports me to that era. I, of course, had to make a mention of Wardruna in my second book. Thank you for your music.

I listen to this kind of music and it lifts my heart. I am adopted but only recently learned my heritage is a mix of Slavic and Nordic. (basically mic of Polish and Norwegian) something about this music makes me feel like coming home.

I love that the song is abou the crafting of Mjolnir the hammer of thor, since Loki distracted the dwarves in his fly form while they were crafting the weapon it had the effect of making it's handle a little shorter than intended, nice lyrics :)
