I am a retouch artist and found the iphone 11 image so sweet and awesome (now i have the 13) To me most of the things you had said is not what i had in my opinion. Most of the iphone 11's photo are containing more informations than the 14. You are right when you said the 14 is sharper but i am not agreeing when you tried to put down the 11 and try to get us the 14 in the last. Dynamic ranges in 11 is most awesome. Most of them are retouchers recipes. The 11's photo in 1:27 is so cool. in 2:44 the 11's is so nice, 4:10 the color of the iphone 11 is so cool and natural(its like the fujifilm's eterna). Look at the sky and grasses in 7:02 they the iphone 11 is so rich(love to death) That portrait in 7:56 is so warm for the 14 the rest are awesome(13 is the best). in 8:16 11 nd 13 is the sweetest. In 9:25 the yellows and purples in the 14 is throwing too much false colors. In 10:15 the iphone 11 is so cenematic while the rest looks artificial to me and so on. This is how the giants are selling us craps with their marketing skill. They change the cover and fill the inside with nothing fresh. The best cinematic grade camera i acme so far is the 7plus and the 13. If you are having a tight budget but wanted a good camera phone go with the iphone 11. Thanks for bringing out the four phones in one handle to compare them practicably where the western youtubers would not do it easily. You earn my sub. Great video.
I’ve been doing more side by sides with the 11 and 13 and have found the 13 is better in low light e.g indoors under artificial light- brighter, less noise and more accurate colour, in good light there is nothing much in it tho.

Interesting comparison. iPhone 11 white balance is often a bit off compared to the others (sometimes too warm, sometimes too green etc.) At 4:30, iPhone 11-12 are a bit warm, 13 is too pink, 14 natural. I see notably improved details in shadows (dynamic range) on iPhone 13 and even more so on iPhone 14. 14 also excels on macro sharpness in 4:40. The increased sensor size works beautifully in 6:38 for bokeh but 11 is a nice contender here. Unfortunately, stray hair is still a mess on all phones on portrait mode, as in 8:35.
Interestingly the "off" white balance in the 11 looked appealing to me in most of the photos! Colors looked richer and the darker image looked better, compared to the 14, which frequently looked washed out to me!

Fingers crossed! Actually it won't be as incremental as the 14 was, but we never know until the phone is actually announced. Come back for a similar video testing the cameras of the 15 and its comparison with 12,13 and 14.

I say wow to this camparison, exactly what I was waiting for in the www! I still have my iPhone 11 and don`t know how much better the newer models are! In some cases the 11 still has the best (sharpest) images, but overall I should go for the 14 to really feel a camera upgrade.

I would say go with iPhone 13 if you want to get one right now, but if you are willing to wait a bit, go with iPhone 14 in festival sale after the iPhone 15 is launched.
After watching the whole video i concluded that due to the bigger sensor on ip14 compared to others it gives the best details even when it comes to low light conditions and that’s the identity of a camera is how it performs in low light.

14 is not a waste of money, it still offers a much better camera, display, processor, battery than the iPhone 12. But if you are on the 12, I think you don't really need to upgrade. 12 will still be good for another year at the very least. So enjoy your phone.
It’s a good upgrade, but if it’s worth it or not completely depends on how much do you use all the upgraded features. But yes, that’s a much better upgrade then going from 12 to 14.

I assume you are talking about the 13 Pro or Pro Max (since you mentioned the 14 pro Max). 14 Pro Max is good, but it really depends on the difference between their prices where you are. If the difference is very low then just go for the 14 pro max, but it it is more than $200-250 then you can go with the 13 pro max as well.
iPhone 14 back main sensor is a Sony IMX703 which is a 1/1.65" sensor while 13 & 12 have Sony IMX503 which is a much much smaller 1/2.55"!!.. The 14's Selfie cam is Sony IMX714 which is more mordern with Auto Focus & f1.9 aperture vs Sony IMX514 with f2.2 with fixed focus on 13 & 12!!.. So hardware wise 14 is much much improved over 13 & 12 & it's just a matter of software optimization/ lack of it which is keeping the cameras across similar in some scenarios.. It is very clear anyways that the 14 is a much superior camera set overall..
Yes Pravin, it's a matter of calibration and optimisation. But honestly, most people don't see these small differences in the image quality even if we point out and show it to them. And for this reason, I think most are happy going with the 13 and saving a bunch of money. But I get your point.

Hi. I own an iPhone XR. I want a smartphone that can basically be an upgrade in all departments. From display(higher refresh rates) ,cameras , batteries with fast charging speeds and clean UI with no bloatware. What are the options that l can consider?
If you are in a hurry then you can switch to the iPhone 13. Other then the higher refresh rate display, it is an upgrade over the iPhone XR in every department. If you can wait for 3 month then I would say the iPhone 15 would be your best upgrade option. It will have Dynamic island, better battery, hugely improved cameras, faster charging (compared to XR) and all.

i'm older person that has some hand shake and i have a iphone 12. i will be going on a train trip, would the action mode on iphone 14 be worth the upgrade?
Action mode on the 14 helps in the situations which you mentioned, but the video resolution drops down to 2.8K and the videos look a bit grainy unless you are shooting them in bright sunny environment. Honestly with the launch of iPhone 15 being so close, I really don't suggest anyone to make the upgrade right now. But if you feel your iPhone 12 is not able to serve your needs then you can upgrade.
Since you have waited so long, I will say wait until Sept/Oct and go with the iPhone 15. it will have a slightly tweaked design, Dynamic island, newer processor better battery and even an improved set of cameras.
As good of a treat that video might be, it’s really difficult to put 5 images side by side to compare. 4 smartphone camera comparison is the optimal point. So maybe 12-15 is on the cards.
If you don't mind spending the amount then the 14 Pro Max would be the best bet, else the 13 pro Max. I say max cox of the bigger battery and display which lets you edit videos better, else you can go with regular iPhone 14 pro or 13 pro depending on your budget.
If you can somehow stretch the budget, then I would suggest you to go for the 13. Camera are better, processor can handle videos better, battery life is easily 1.5-2 hours better than iPhone 12, and the best thing if you go with black/starlight/Purple/Pink colours then it looks virtually indistinguishable from the iPhone 14.
I just bought the 14 and mannnn, one day I’d love to go into the City and just take ASTONISHING night shots. It’s always been my dream. Last time I went my parents took photos with their phones back in 2017, and Uhm… they kept their Note 3 since 2012 so the photos were really bad. I’d love to snap some nice shots!
Dynamic range on iphone 11 is poor compared to others. Going with 12 will be a best choice if it comes under 30k during next BBD sale. This year 13 was more vfm but next year 12 can become a steal deal as camere wise 12, 13 and 14 are not poles apart. BTW selfie camera wise iphones are terrible compared to even budget androids
Keep the battery life of iPhone 12 in mind though. iPhone 13 should last about 2.5 hours longer which is quite a bit. iPhone 14 also don't suffer from poor battery life.
iphone 11 battery is 3,110 mah whereas iphone 12 is 2880 mah! i agree iphone 12 is 5g but this is what will drain the battery fast as it'll eventually ruin the battery health percentage! iphone 12 was actually a failure better to se 20 5g or Iphone 11
The best for you depends on how much money you are ready to spend. If all you can spend is 40k then iPhone 11 is best for you. If you can spend 70k then iPhone 14 is the obvious best of the bunch. So depends on your budget.
Yes, the minimum focusing distance on the iPhone 13's main camera is close to 5inches, so if you are closer than that to the subject then the phone won't focus. Your XR could set the focus because it had a much smaller image sensor. 13's main image sensor is over 2 and half times bigger than that of the XR so its minimum focusing distance increases, it is plain physics. The bigger the image sensor, worse is its ability to focus on nearby objects. This problem is there on all phones with big image sensor like Samsung S22 Ultra, Xiaomi 11 Ultra, 12 Pro, Vivo X80 Pro and so on. Don't worry it is not a defect on your phone. If you want to still get closer to your subject, you can digitally zoom in to 1.2x or 1.3x on your viewfinder and then move as close to your subject as possible. Images will still be sharp since image sensor is big. Any more zoom than that and you will start seeing lot of digital noise. Hope this helps.

If you want to wait so long then yes you can still purchase the iPhone 13 next year. I don't have the iPhone 14 Pro so won't be making videos about it. I don't think the 50K extra for iPhone 14 Pro over the regular iPhone 14 is worth it (in India). If I was anywhere else where the price gap between the iPhone 14 and 14 Pro wasn't this big, I would have bought it.

There is a difference in 11 and 12. Depends on how long you want to use your phone. If its form more than 2 years then go with 12, for anything less, 11 will be fine. Also look at the price difference where you are. If the difference is not huge, going with 12 would be better, as it also gives you a newer looking phone (design is in line with latest iPhone).

Hi Udit. Glad you liked the video. The answer to your question depends on a few factors. Do you plan on lighting your videos? If yes then iPhone 11 will do just fine, else 14 would be much better. Will they be talking head videos (showing your face), or just showing random things? If you will be there in the video then definitely go with iPhone 14. I would say go with 14, as it will also give you much better audio, and smoother looking videos with higher bitrate. It also has a bigger image sensor, so the videos won't look too grainy even if the light is not adequate.

There has been green screen issue on a few iPhone 13 models, but the number is very low. Out of the 90million+ iPhone 13 models sold, less then 200-300 had that issue, so its not that big of an issue to worry about. Internet has a way of blowing anything about iPhones out of proportion, and this is just another case of it. By the way I am typing this response on an iPhone 13 which was purchased on launch day (21month old) and mine has no issues.

Glad you found it. Yes, the 11 is still good, but if you are looking for an upgrade, 14 Pro is the one to get over the 14.
The 12 onwards in my experience have more noise reduction and therefore look less sharp than the 11 in good light but do better in lower light.

I would say go with iPhone 13 if you want to get one right now, but if you are willing to wait a bit, go with iPhone 14 in festival sale after the iPhone 15 is launched.

I think it is not too much big difference, so can edit photos which you took with Ip 11 important is quality when you zoom photo
After watching the whole video i concluded that due to the bigger sensor on ip14 compared to others it gives the best details even when it comes to low light conditions and that’s the identity of a camera is how it performs in low light.

I have an iPhone 12 right now. I was thinking to upgrade my phone to iPhone 14 next month. After watching your video, I feel like most of the things are the same and it’s like wasting money to get iPhone 14.
14 is not a waste of money, it still offers a much better camera, display, processor, battery than the iPhone 12. But if you are on the 12, I think you don't really need to upgrade. 12 will still be good for another year at the very least. So enjoy your phone.
I am so very convinced that upgrading from 11 to 14 is totally worth it.
It’s a good upgrade, but if it’s worth it or not completely depends on how much do you use all the upgraded features. But yes, that’s a much better upgrade then going from 12 to 14.

I assume you are talking about the 13 Pro or Pro Max (since you mentioned the 14 pro Max). 14 Pro Max is good, but it really depends on the difference between their prices where you are. If the difference is very low then just go for the 14 pro max, but it it is more than $200-250 then you can go with the 13 pro max as well.
iPhone 14 back main sensor is a Sony IMX703 which is a 1/1.65" sensor while 13 & 12 have Sony IMX503 which is a much much smaller 1/2.55"!!.. The 14's Selfie cam is Sony IMX714 which is more mordern with Auto Focus & f1.9 aperture vs Sony IMX514 with f2.2 with fixed focus on 13 & 12!!.. So hardware wise 14 is much much improved over 13 & 12 & it's just a matter of software optimization/ lack of it which is keeping the cameras across similar in some scenarios.. It is very clear anyways that the 14 is a much superior camera set overall..
Yes Pravin, it's a matter of calibration and optimisation. But honestly, most people don't see these small differences in the image quality even if we point out and show it to them. And for this reason, I think most are happy going with the 13 and saving a bunch of money. But I get your point.

Hi. I own an iPhone XR. I want a smartphone that can basically be an upgrade in all departments. From display(higher refresh rates) ,cameras , batteries with fast charging speeds and clean UI with no bloatware. What are the options that l can consider?
If you are in a hurry then you can switch to the iPhone 13. Other then the higher refresh rate display, it is an upgrade over the iPhone XR in every department. If you can wait for 3 month then I would say the iPhone 15 would be your best upgrade option. It will have Dynamic island, better battery, hugely improved cameras, faster charging (compared to XR) and all.

Action mode on the 14 helps in the situations which you mentioned, but the video resolution drops down to 2.8K and the videos look a bit grainy unless you are shooting them in bright sunny environment. Honestly with the launch of iPhone 15 being so close, I really don't suggest anyone to make the upgrade right now. But if you feel your iPhone 12 is not able to serve your needs then you can upgrade.

Since you have waited so long, I will say wait until Sept/Oct and go with the iPhone 15. it will have a slightly tweaked design, Dynamic island, newer processor better battery and even an improved set of cameras.

If you don't mind spending the amount then the 14 Pro Max would be the best bet, else the 13 pro Max. I say max cox of the bigger battery and display which lets you edit videos better, else you can go with regular iPhone 14 pro or 13 pro depending on your budget.

If you can somehow stretch the budget, then I would suggest you to go for the 13. Camera are better, processor can handle videos better, battery life is easily 1.5-2 hours better than iPhone 12, and the best thing if you go with black/starlight/Purple/Pink colours then it looks virtually indistinguishable from the iPhone 14.

Yes, it is still a very good phone.
Dynamic range on iphone 11 is poor compared to others. Going with 12 will be a best choice if it comes under 30k during next BBD sale. This year 13 was more vfm but next year 12 can become a steal deal as camere wise 12, 13 and 14 are not poles apart. BTW selfie camera wise iphones are terrible compared to even budget androids
Keep the battery life of iPhone 12 in mind though. iPhone 13 should last about 2.5 hours longer which is quite a bit. iPhone 14 also don't suffer from poor battery life.
iphone 11 battery is 3,110 mah whereas iphone 12 is 2880 mah! i agree iphone 12 is 5g but this is what will drain the battery fast as it'll eventually ruin the battery health percentage! iphone 12 was actually a failure better to se 20 5g or Iphone 11

The best for you depends on how much money you are ready to spend. If all you can spend is 40k then iPhone 11 is best for you. If you can spend 70k then iPhone 14 is the obvious best of the bunch. So depends on your budget.

Bought a week ago iPhone 13 camera near (4 inches) focus is lost is this defect? My old Xr focus does shoot better up close. This is a factory defect?
Yes, the minimum focusing distance on the iPhone 13's main camera is close to 5inches, so if you are closer than that to the subject then the phone won't focus. Your XR could set the focus because it had a much smaller image sensor. 13's main image sensor is over 2 and half times bigger than that of the XR so its minimum focusing distance increases, it is plain physics. The bigger the image sensor, worse is its ability to focus on nearby objects. This problem is there on all phones with big image sensor like Samsung S22 Ultra, Xiaomi 11 Ultra, 12 Pro, Vivo X80 Pro and so on.
Don't worry it is not a defect on your phone. If you want to still get closer to your subject, you can digitally zoom in to 1.2x or 1.3x on your viewfinder and then move as close to your subject as possible. Images will still be sharp since image sensor is big. Any more zoom than that and you will start seeing lot of digital noise.

If you want to wait so long then yes you can still purchase the iPhone 13 next year. I don't have the iPhone 14 Pro so won't be making videos about it. I don't think the 50K extra for iPhone 14 Pro over the regular iPhone 14 is worth it (in India). If I was anywhere else where the price gap between the iPhone 14 and 14 Pro wasn't this big, I would have bought it.

There is a difference in 11 and 12. Depends on how long you want to use your phone. If its form more than 2 years then go with 12, for anything less, 11 will be fine. Also look at the price difference where you are. If the difference is not huge, going with 12 would be better, as it also gives you a newer looking phone (design is in line with latest iPhone).

The answer to your question depends on a few factors. Do you plan on lighting your videos? If yes then iPhone 11 will do just fine, else 14 would be much better.
Will they be talking head videos (showing your face), or just showing random things? If you will be there in the video then definitely go with iPhone 14.
I would say go with 14, as it will also give you much better audio, and smoother looking videos with higher bitrate. It also has a bigger image sensor, so the videos won't look too grainy even if the light is not adequate.

There has been green screen issue on a few iPhone 13 models, but the number is very low. Out of the 90million+ iPhone 13 models sold, less then 200-300 had that issue, so its not that big of an issue to worry about. Internet has a way of blowing anything about iPhones out of proportion, and this is just another case of it. By the way I am typing this response on an iPhone 13 which was purchased on launch day (21month old) and mine has no issues.
