Sure the new C63 might have 680BHP… but sometimes in life, size really matters! And the old school brute force of a thunderous V8 is what the #AMG C63 is all about! Today is a happy but sad day, as I’ve bought the last new C63 with a V8, and pure RWD - The C63 S Final Edition. 499 units limited edition, while #MercedesAMG are complying with regs going forward, this old /new car still has what we crave!
The C63 Final Edition is a strange car in more ways than one. It’s an edition that angers me and brings me joy in equal measure. In terms of the anger, I feel I owe it to you fellow #AMG fans to explain why i feel that way. And in terms of the joy, I’ll show you around all the details of the final edition, all the changes and mods I made to your car, including some seriously epic small 2023 AMG mods and upgrades you can do to your cars too - and a little surprise about the exhaust on this facelift C 63 S!!

No, thats not what this car is about, it already has 285 wide rear tires if they went wider it would kill the whole point of the car n make it way less fun on road, if u want a more track car the amg-gtr exists. They shoulda just added some hood vents, more aggresive diffuser and forged wheels. Like the c63 507. The ugly wing alone wouldve ruined the entire black series n made it into a civic type-r rice mobile

I really dig the changes you made. That's how the final edition should have looked. Also it's really nice that they " forgot" the night package. Really fits the wheels with the contrasts here.

In a few years, every carguy will enjoy the music these cars produced with their engines when they see one. The rest of traffic will be quiet devices, completely interchangable and generic.

No they don’t they sound like aircraft all low end, the sound bounces off the skyscrapers in the city of London
But. Oddly the 4l has more of a top end than the old 6.2
Watched this a bunch of times and it really does bring a joy to my heart that the W205 C63S sound can be enjoyed the way it should be. The It made my hair stand up on that video you recorded with face lifted version on track at the press release. What a sound what a video.
In fact Raz this video is even more important or epic in recent light of the new wrongly named C63S sound.

I'm racking up the miles on my 2021 C63S(up to 14k now), but honestly I'll probably never sell it so I'm just gonna drive it until it breaks. These cars are too good to leave sitting in a garage and I will miss it so much when I start looking for a new car. I hope Mercedes can recognize their mistakes in the coming years and bring back the V8.
They are in the next generation if I remember correctly. People canceled their orders when they heard it was a 4 cyl
As we rush headlong into an EV future that we are not really ready for, that probably won't solve the pollution problem, will cost more, and that people really kind of don't want. Congrats on the new car, enjoy!

Mercedes Benz W204 C63 AMG is the King of the streets, a taste of luxury.
There’s nothing sweeter than being able to afford different types of luxury cars that's enchanting and beautiful as this, but i think Mercedes are trying to make driving more easy, and comfortable but it all balls down to finance, luxury is always expensive
When I see good videos like this I usually take my time to appreciate the experts who make these videos possible, it's not also easy to help people, thanks for the info guys.

A final edition estate was what I was hoping for. I think my estate may have been the final one to leave the factory - October 2020 ex factory. No plans to sell it. Really hope I can that exhaust software update with the next service!
Or just get an aftermarket exhaust, the stock one is too muffled any way

Great spec - always thought the gloss carbon hood on the SLS Final edition really set it apart. Could have worked well here IMO

Agree that they should have made something different that would make the final edition stand out a little more. Either way, I’m hanging on to my pre facelift C63.

Nothing should have the C63 name, unless it is a V8 and RWD. So glad we have our 2014 C63 coupe. Keeping it until I die.
To baby booms like myself, the end of the V8s is very sad! and it’s not about speed, it’s about emotional feelings you get with the sound of that V8.
2015 Edition 1 - 2018 models were the best sounding. At least for the 4liter engines! 2019-2021 the sound already started fading. I just picked up a 2015 Edition 1 and LOVE it! Also gave it a facelift 🔥

Grettings from the USA great video I like your new car a lot !! I personally own a C63s Coupe 2019 (new facelift) and I love it !! In my opinion the car has it all: lots of power, amazing roaring sound, looks, and comfort. It even has a pretty good trunk space with foldable back seats to fit large cargo ! amazing stuff for such a powerful car. I heard the new electric version comes only as a sedan though that sucks :( I like the coupe so I'll keep mine until another new coupe version comes out.

They could have made the new C63 in a different way by not making it a full hybrid. They could have made it the same way they did the new C43 but make it RWD only and remove the rear wheel steering because it feels awkward and is a heavy system. They could have focused instead in making it lighter and sharper. Make it a better driving experience overall with very good feedback from the controls, sharp gearchanges and a good engine/exhaust sound according with what you can do today. It didn't need to have more than 480hp total (a45S engine + 20hp/200nm electric motor + electric turbocharger) that would be awesome! It would be better than the new M3 by being lighter/more agile, have a much more responsive front end, a more responsive engine because of the electric assist, a DCT gearbox and a more envolving experience overall. They could have also used a air suspension too to make it more confortable, that would also distinguish it from the M3. Another thing they could do would be add a dry sump lubrification system to lower the center of gravity of the car. But instead they did a very very heavy car and focused on power. They thought it would compensate the loss of the V8 they forgot that a 4 cylinder can sound very good and that having a lighter engine has its advantages over a V8.

I don't care how much faster and more powerful that boxer engine hybrid C63 is now. The old, deep grunt lightning quick 4.0 liter V8 is the only thing that should have been housed in that engine bay. They could have simply added a battery for the sake of making it a hybrid without canceling the V8. Now it simply has absolutely no character. This is just an A45 on steroids.

I need to check exhaust sound on my 2019 now to compare. I did get the kit to keep,the flaps open over the EU quiet range.
How does your 2019 sound in comparison? I test drove a 68 plate facelift and it sounded like it does in this video

Its definitely a special car for sure! I will miss the v8 c63. Those gas caps are cool! My internet website for my dealership has been blowing up with orders for them that Mercedes literally has delayed orders due to the high volume and low quantities they have on hand. I myself got 2 for my car coming as well!

These days everyone wants to murder out their cars black on black. I totally agree that styling should be more of subtley with colours complimenting each other not going overkill and drowning a car with a single colour theme. Loving the motors , loving the channel 😀

I've always loved AMG but I think this new AMG just isn't interested in making V8 cars anymore which sucks because that's why they are loved soo much they are the muscle car of Europe!
If you watched Top Gear passenger ride on the new C63 the Mercedes guy in the car said they could of put a V8 in the new car but they decided not to and it had nothing to do with emissions?
you hear that as a AMG fan it does make you annoyed as you question WHYYY?!
Something going on at Mercedes which is clear had effect on AMG cause look at the effort going in to their cars these days EQ all look the exact same, I think the new headlight designs are becoming worse since now its hard to differentiate between the models, their gonna slap four pots in everything which doesn't sound exciting at all specially at 90k (new C63).
If you look at the current line up now and the future there isn't one V8 model that is actually affordable anymore their now all locked behind the six figure pay wall...
As a fan of AMG I'm looking forwards to the new GT but I just have to give props to BMW however mixed peoples opinion on their cars are at least they all look different and they still have a straight six and just like Porsche their still making the special stuff.
I'm glad that C63 and E63 got a send off but I don't think it's the send of they deserve.

I just find it so weird they don't do CCBs on both rears and fronts, going to be real annoying with all that brake dust on the rears ruining the look of your wheels while the fronts remain squeaky clean.

I just bought a brand new glc 43 amg last of v6 and I’m chuffed with it ! I also prefer the current interior to the new Tesla style 2023 interiors on the C glass /glcs
It’s not only the last C63 to have a V8, it’s the last C63. Anything after it will never be a C63 or even an AMG for that matter. New „C63“ isn’t loud, not enough cylinders, too heavy, too docile. It went from being a big, mean pitbull to an overweight chihuahua. Not a hooligan = not an AMG

We haven’t been able to order a new W205 C63 for 2 years now in Canada….even though they’ve been on the website to build.
Raz seems like a great car but you are right they should have made it something more special for such limited nos maybe an amg heritage edition with bits styled on the original amgs. There should have been a black version and if tobias moers was still there I think there would have been. Those standard wheels are inexcusable on such a limited production run car. Only thing I would say is the last true C63 went out of production in 2014 with a naturally aspirated V8, this car all be it absolutely beautiful and I love it, is not a true C63, I do however appreciate we have to count our blessings and acknowledge we won’t be seeing many +4.0 or even 3.0 engines being produced as we transition to boring electric cars.
