- This is my piano cover of the song "It's Over (isn't it)" from the new Steven Universe episode Mr. Greg. Honestly one of my favorite SU songs to date!

Sometimes I wish Rose didn't have to die. But that's the point, that's what gives the show depth and meaning. Unlike most of the shows for this generation, this show tries to appeal to adults too and actually visits dark topics. I hope this show doesn't end anytime soon.

Hey, ThePandaTooth, I know that odds are you won't reply to me, but it's still worth a try. I just thought it was worth telling you that you're an absolutely incredible pianist. I personally don't play the piano, but I've tried learning it and so I have a pretty good idea of how difficult it is and I know talent when I see it even if I don't have any. And I can assure you, you have lots of talent. I love the covers you make, and I listen to them often. So, in summary: well done, and keep going.

I have played piano for approximately 11 years, and I can tell you that you are very right, this guy is a bloody genius at playing piano (IMO)
This sounds so awesome. I would have add octaves by 1:24 - 1:27 to give the part a little more power, but that's subjective.

I really want to play this song (as accompaniment together with a violin), but until now there are only really rushed synthesia videos that aren't really good (they just feel like they were made to be first) and some piano covers that are more improvised than arranged D:
So I guess I'll need to wait for you to make sheets of this and use those as a guide x)

Hey ThePandaTooth, after hearing one of your covers, I immediately subbed, cause you're pretty damn fantastic. However, I was wondering if you could offer any advice on how to get started on learning piano? Maybe a website or an app to help learn?
Well, personally I had a wonderful teacher for 8 years so I have little experience with apps or self-teaching websites. But I know Flowkey and they're very good which is why I've been doing a promotion with them (tinyurl.com/pandatooth-flowkey), but it's mainly for learning songs with visual help and makes you familiar with sheet music. Because I do think being able to read sheet music is important as a pianist, even with all these Synthesia tutorials around... so don't skip on that even if it's hard at first. For the very basics you could also find some stuff on UA-cam, there's tutorials for everything. And when you get a grasp at sheet music, you could go to a local music store and ask for a book with easy classical pieces to learn.
He's right, sheet music is so important if you're wanting to play a wide variety of music and don't have time (or ability like me) to learn them all by ear.
