pakistani doctor poori dunya ma badnam hai. sab dunya jante hai ka pakistani doctor selfish or lalchi hai. uk ma tu kafi arsa sa pakistani doctors ko hire nahi keya jaa raha . or America ma ya itna kamyab nahi bas wahan ziyadater ya entry level doctor hai jo ya wahan aik truck driver ka barabar kamata hai. pakistan ma in ki moojh hai govt sa wage leta hai lakin govt hospital ma imanatdari sa kam nahi kerta or sara din apni private clinics ma rehta hai. private clinic ma patient sa heavy feed leta hai phir bhi wahan patient ko sahi check nahi kerta or commisoned medicine or test likhta hai. foreign countries ma pakistani doctor ka diagnose ko mana nahi jata .

Professor Dr. Javed - I was Assistant professor in Pakistan and left the country in 2000 and came to Australia because of same reasons. I know it is very hard to leave your country and loved one. I am encouraging young people if they have opportunities to come overseas please do so for yourself and your coming generations. Most of you would be contributing for humanity. DO NOT LIMIT YOUR TALENT.

I have to add my two cents here. Btw, I'm a second gen Pakistani from Khi whose grand parents immigrated from India. I myself was a true patriotic Pakistani and when I immigrated to Canada back in 2008, when I was 23 years old. I went with a plan to study and become financially stable and then return to Pakistan as parents and siblings were there. I was living with my aunt's family and I used to argue with my cousins in favour of Pakistan and how Pakistan is better in certain ways from Canada. My cousins came to Canada as kids so it was home for them and they used to degrade Pakistan and Pakistanis.
Things didn't go as planned and I came back in 2010 with no intention to return even though, I was a PR back then. I resumed my studies and started looking for jobs. I was unable to find any job and I was continuously advised by my elders and other people to return to Canada. People used to call me crazy that being a PR, I don't want to live in Canada and here people are dying to move to Canada.
In late 2012, I finally decided to return to Canada half heartedly as I was unable to find a job and my PR was also going to expire. This time, I decided to live on my own and since then, I'm still there and Alhamdulillah, married and have couple of kids now. Whatever I have earned is from Canada, so I have utmost respect for that country. In all those years, I always sailed in two ships as my mind stayed in Canada and heart in Pakistan which didn't help me to grow as I was not focused. I always though about returning to Pakistan and start some kind of small business there.
While I'm writing this, I'm in Khi for more than four months now and my plan to ever move to Pakistan has completely changed. Why? Because I couldn't find a single reason except personal ones like parents and siblings, to stay in this country. There is never ending list of issues. There would be no other city like Khi but sadly, it was ruined by politicial parties and army altogether. This city has became a victim of hatred and discrimination. Even if I try to look past these issues, I can't tolerate our people. Everybody is corrupt in their own way. It's worse than a jungle right now. I feel ashamed that we even call ourselves Muslims because there is no sight of Islam in our country. I always advise people if they can afford, go and visit any developed western country and I'm sure you'll feel ashamed being a Pakistani Muslim and where we stand as a nation. Forget being a Muslim, we shouldn't even be called humans.
People who're against moving to western countries. I have to tell you that those non Muslims are actually following Islam, where even a cat killed is investigated and killer gets apprehended. Where people have respect for each other. Employers look after their employees and treats them with respect. Everybody has equal rights whether you live there for generations or few years. Police treats us as they're our servants. These countries actually follow the correct meaning of public servants unlike Pakistan. Politicians and high rank govt. employees don't get any protocols or any kind of benefits like we get here for e.g, govt. number plates, fuel, cars etc. We have freedom of speech. People can swear on PM's face and not get arrested but in Pakistan, you criticize army being an Urdu speaking and you'll get abducted but you can get away if you're from any other ethnicity. We're slaves in our own country. Anyways, there is a long list I can present about pros of living in west.
Even if I talk about Islam, I have seen better Muslims there. It all depends on your upbringing. I have seen an Imam who was born there and his wife wears a veil and I have seen people moved from Pakistan and started drinking and committing zina so in the end, it all depends on you. Even in Pakistan, people are doing everything under the table.
Sadly, this country is not livable anymore if you're honest, truthful and wants to live with dignity.

Thank you for sharing. Agree with most of what you said except for Islamic points. In Western countries, people follow a very strange kind of Islam, so much so that it is not even Islam. Western Islam is big on rituals but is devoid of its soul. Mostly I blame English-speaking scholars in those countries who have corrupted Islam there. For example, pick top 10 most popular English-speaking scholars living in those countries and most likely they will all be themselves living in a house bought using mortgage, even mosques in those countries are bought with similar haram means. In Pakistan most people indeed do not follow Islam as well, that is true. But Pakistan is blessed with thousands of righteous Islamic scholars who have preserved the true spirit along with rituals of Islam. No other country, even no other Islamic country, has more freedom of speech for Islamic scholars than Pakistan.

agreed but when a cat gets killed it's investigated but when thousands are killed in afg, and Iraq by these western countries, there is no investigation lol...just do criticism brother..accept it... moreover, neither pak nor any western country is truly suitable for Muslims..that's my pt of view..well all should move to Africa..haha

There are either very good Muslims in west or people are in risk of loosing Deen (their Kids) altogether. That is something which is unaffordable. This debate should end with Dr. Sahib’s second video about hindsight of living. Take advise from elders and not young people. Come here, earn while u r young and go to Pakistan.

Prof sahab you have won my heart. I can see the internal conflict you are having. Many professionals of your generation who returned to Pakistan despite having chances to settle abroad have similar sentiments. However, with time the gap between opportunities a professional could find in Pakistan versus abroad has widened to a great extent. I was among the lower 10% in my class when I graduated, in Pakistan if I apply for a job in 2022 I don't think I will earn more than Rs.50,000/= per month in my field. But since I am living abroad, I can afford a decent lifestyle with the job I have. So for people who are not among the top 1% of their class, such decisions are not as difficult as they used to be.

Anyone who can settle abroad should act immediately. In Pakistan, there is no rule of law, system, or security, and above all, we have a power sector that never thinks about the people of Pakistan but for their own benefit. I don't believe that there is any chance of correction.

Dear Dr. Javed, i am an avid listener to your advices on various topics especially parenting. You remained truthful on this topic which i appreciate but please also guide us that if someone does want to come back, how can he/she survive in this ungrateful place? Many people are earning a reasonable lifestyle in Pakistan but they also lack security, education, health, justice and peace in general. Musalman ki fitrat m nahi mayus hona laikin apna ghar jab khatry m ho tu log ghar ko bachaty hain na k ghar sy bahgty hain. Unfortunately i am among those who just fled after giving my best to my country in my youthful years but the reward is not there at all monetary or compassion wise.

O those who travel to the West... The Western environment will not have mercy on your children and grandchildren
    (Translated from Arabic)
    Written by Mu’minah Al-A'zam
Granddaughter of the late Sheikh Ali Al Tantawi (may Allah have mercy on him).
My grandfather, Ali Al Tantawi, was wise enough to prevent us from going through with our immigration process to Canada, when it was proposed and available to us at the time. Our children were still young back then. I was skeptical about his reasoning, whilst my ego as a young parent made me jump to the assertion that he was too strict and only wanted to control his children’s life... May Allah have mercy on him...
Now I tend to agree with him and recall his wise decision whenever I come across a story of people whose children have lost their Deen, in the midst of the busy life in the West. His reasoning was: “To choose to live in the land of kufr leads to losing your offspring. If you are able to protect your children, you can never guarantee to protect their children and their grandchildren. Do not carry the responsibility [of their losing their Deen].”
I remembered all of that when I came across a post by a friend:
    A precautionary tale
“Someone told me today, “If I had enough money I would immigrate to America instead of Turkey. It will never affect me or my family where I immigrate, what’s important is how I raise my children and not where I raise them.”
I had to warn him that the choice of the place is considered one of the fundamentals of raising (tarbiyya).
It is said, ask the experienced over the wise. So here is my experience:
Nine years ago I was tasked to investigate the family history of the Ramadan family (a Beirut family). I began with the family tree and searched (online) for all the family members all over the world. I found 5000 members and the statistics were staggering. Here’s a list of those in the family that migrated to the West:
    Those who migrated
    - 100 years ago: 96% of their offspring are NOT Muslim
    - 80 years ago: 75% of their grandchildren are not Muslim
    - 60 years ago: 40% of their grandchildren are Christian
    - 40 years ago: 25% of their grandchildren left Islam
Around 80 years ago a ‘Sheikh’ migrated to the Ecuador and built the first masjid there. He insisted on raising his children upon Islam. Today none of his grandchildren is Muslim. This is the case of most families.
Personally, among the 48 of my grandfather’s grandchildren, 16 are not Muslim. We live in the United States, and I have been an American Citizen for 40 years.
In Ecuador, there are 98 of the Beirut’s Ramadan family. The Ramadan forefathers migrated there in 1923. Now all of the 98 grandchildren are Christian. I met George, Christian and Emilio Ramadan. I managed to convince Emilio to come to the family union in Adana, Turkey after I offered him financial assistance only for him to learn about the Muslim history of his family. It was really heartbreaking.
These statistics are not the same among the families that migrated to an Islamic country such as Turkey.

I left Pakistan many years ago, got foreign specialization and I am well settled economically Alhamdulillah but I must say that all is not good outside Pakistan.
There are many issues in countries outside Pakistan. Raising children in the West is a major issue.

Living abroad after leaving Pakistan can only be understood when you come abroad . So every one should come abroad and see it yourself... if it fits to your mental circumstances...by the way Money is not every thing but yes its a necessity which even my country is offering.... we cannot understand the value of home until we leave it, for some time... to earn , to get strong experiences.. literally you I'll start loving your country in true sense when you ill leave it... Yes foreign remittance is important to get ahead in the race of live,, but you can't subtract every relationship just for a life standard.... sorry if someone don't like my POW...

I left Pakistan 6 years ago and this is the best decision that I made for myself, my family and my coming generations. I would urge everybody who get opportunity to settle abroad to not miss the chance. You cannot fight with the Pakistani army which is the main culprit for the destruction of Pakistan, corrupt politicians and corrupt government. So, better to leave Pakistan and spend a peaceful life abroad. Here in the West there are challenges but there is social justice and you have all basic human rights. You can overcome challenges with hard work but you cannot beat a Pakistani corrupt system with hard work.

@@ibraheemq7859 People have many misconceptions about the west but believe me it is not what you think sitting in Pakistan. Here we have mosques, we offer juma prayer, eid prayers, we fast etc. Here Muslims are far more better than the Muslims in Pakistan the reason is that here nobody can dare to mess with the law. I'd they do they will be either in jail or will be sent back to Pakistan. So, everybody tries their best to fulfil their duties as a resident or citizen and exactly the same is required by Islam. Here we have more freedom than Pakistan to practice Islam. Mosque is far from my office so on Friday I pray in a church where other Muslims also come for prayers. They have allocated us a hall for prayers. Can you expect this in Pakistan?

The turmoils and instability your country is going through from past 75 years is because all the educated elite thought running away was and still do, the only solution. And you expected illiterate people who were and are left behind would fight your battles in your absence.? It was and is nothing but sheer selfishness.
If you don't like foreign interference then Stay put and bring about changes that you would want to see in your country. It's pay back time to your community.

Lots of respect for Dr Sahib, always listen to his lectures like a student. But here I am finding it very difficult to agree with Dr Sahib's suggestion. It cannot be so easy/quick.Once you leave Pakistan with young kids you are almost risking them to change their genes. However, this is done in a very non-destructive rather peaceful way 😐so very difficult to notice the change - no matter whatever you do they will be going to an alien education system for 6-7 hours every day while you will be at work to step up the ladder of MHoNs. I wish I could have understood the value of having born in a free country where I could work hard to help develop an environment/culture according to our own world view. Maslow's Hierarchy of needs is too linear, mechanical and materialistic approach (more relevant to other world view). But thanks again at least I got a chance to speak my heart here🙁.
