This version of the BJ24 has some serious potential 🤔 if the motor can handle 6s ? Theoretically there is no need for a higher amperage esc because of, “Ohm’s Law” . . . Remember “If you double the voltage, you cut the amperage in half” 😉
I was thinking the same thing. As far as the motor, I'm sure it can handle it. Just watch those temps. Only one way to know, and I will If they'd send me my boat already! Smh
Hey Big B! I'm dying to get the upgrade for the BJ 24. OSE has been out of stock for a while. What size drive line can I upgrade my boat with? I have the old BJ 24.
Back when I had my v1 BJ24 I was running a 120 amp ESC with 3900 kv and it would run about 65mph it was hilarious
Is the 50mph achievable on those Horizon Hobby 5000mah 100c smart batteries? What batteries do you recommend to get the most speed and handling out of it completely stock?
If not 50 dang close to it. I had really good success with the 100c Spektrum packs.
There must be some adjustment needing made, ole mrmadman got one also and his hit 52 stock prop out the box. I’m really liking this boat

Lots of possibilities with this new 24 , curious about one thing , if you upgrade to 6s possibilities how well will this new hull take the abuse . The faster you go the harder the crashes which are inevitable in this hobby . The graphics you can get with this boat are great
Is the spektrum firma 6s 120A a direct bolt in you think ?
I could be wrong, and I just did the measurements, but it looks like a direct fit. If not direct fit, pretty darn close

Hey B. Gary here from Canada. GREAT review man Let’s go! Bought a used Veles 29 and having a blast. But your observation of having the water flout vertically is a good deal man. The Veles is on the side and sometimes hard to see. Had to bring it in a few times to make sure it was working and not obstructions.

Man that’s a great boat I have get one have alot RC but no boats except swamp boat that’s more blow than go 😂I put car esc but really have keep the weight down , would your tug boat bring it back ? I have a pond to use but it be disgusting to jump in 😂and back my house canal is perfect but it’s salt water

I think I like those colors .goto get me one and compare to the v1 with upgrades. 120 amp esc great upgrade in my opinion would also buy the smart receiver .
Well...I followed your link and bought the BJ24 ! Hope you get a few bones from Proboat for your channel ! Watching your videos renewed my interest in RC boats. I drug out my old Aquacraft Super Vee 27. It's still in mint condition. I think I will update it of course with new tx rx to 2.4ghz ( it's 75mhz now lol ) new ESC so I can run LiPo's at 4s etc etc... It will be a money pit, but I'll have a bunch of fun, and that's what it's all about right ?
I have a small house on a Lake with my own dock that is 10 minutes away from home , so I definitely NEED to have RC boats to play with !

What an amazing production from ProBoat!!! Awesome stuff!!! Yes the upgrades are spinning in my head already!! Wondering how a 3D printed flat ski fitted to the bottom of the stuffing tube ski would help lift the transom and float it more once the big runs start!! … Just a thought!!👍🏻

Does this flip if you were to turn full throttle? I'm debating on either this or a motion rc catamarin
If you dial back the dual rate, no it's pretty stable at speed, I recommend the steering dual rate set at 30-40%

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to run a single 3s/4s pack, as long as it fits the battery tray it should do good

Why it’s not fast enough for you lol everyone wants to go faster but boats it seems like they give it to you screaming already and be counterproductive sometimes if adding weight . When I was a kid you’d hear the nitro boats at Eisenhower park lake , its small though ,
The ESC itself has a sticker on it that says 60 amp

First video was a highlighted maiden. The ovonic packs should do just fine.
@@IRONCLADRC Btw, all that water in the boat reminded me of my nephew taking [a piss💦] with his Recoil 2 18" after a nice run on the local lake the other day...I mean, that boat got fiiiiiilled with water, lol (Not sure why, I had my own 18" Heat Wave out several times now with only a few drops of water in it). Still, I'm gonna get this 24" Blackjack Cat one way or the other (we got a local lagoon with a water level of 0.5 - 1 m which might be the perfect spot for this neon colored version 👀 The water only goes up a bit above the knees when standing in the lagoon...).
