For whomever might consider wanting to try Industrial 100, its by and large the same as Fujicolor 100 with different packaging. Which is still sold new in Japan as of this writing. Although the clock is certainly ticking...
It’s identical to Fujicolor 100. They kinda did a similar thing with Superia for press photographers: Same emulsion, different packaging, storage conditions, and quantities.
I took Fujicolor 100 overseas twice and it held up really well despite X-ray machines. I think I prefer Noritsu scans for it too. Pastel kinda vibe and cool green shadows.
If you like true to life colours, I’ve been a huge fan of Pro Image lately. It’s not a very forgiving film if you expose it wrong, but it’s daylight shots are wonderfully neutral in tone and a whole hell of a lot less saturated than Ektar (😖). As a Fuji film stock fanboy, it’s been my go-to as a substitute for Fujifilm. I love it, and it gives especially nice jewel-tone greens and reds, just like Fuji.
It can certainly have pretty minty greens but it can’t hold a candle to Fujicolor 100/Industrial. That stuff has a big exposure latitude and way finer grain. Pro Image is no slouch but it’s not as good.
Overexposure doesn’t cause graininess with color negative films. It can with B&W but with color negative the dye clouds start overlapping, reducing grain and sharpness.
Do a video on velvia 50 (One trick with that film is to shoot it with a polarizer, since that film is insanely sensitive), these videos are really great!
Finally find a channel small enough (amazing content tho) that I think the creator or someone might answer this.......WHERE DID YOU GET THAT FONT THING... It have been a couple of months since every single photographer channel starter using those yellow with red fonts on their videos, what is the exact color and font and how and why? Lol
yo, i have no idea other channels were using it haha. i thought i was unique 😂 but ya its called Refrigerator and its inspired by Asteroid City by Wes Anderson :)
it’s very weird. the light meter does not engage for the first 2 shots on the f3 (2 shots after the initial winding to frame 1). apparently it’s supposed to be a feature? i still don’t understand it haha

the clock definitely is ticking man... sad to see fuji films slowly disappear

Nice review. My number 1 film, I even have a tattoo of it.
fuji industrial 100 tattoo... might've been the coolest thing i've heard in a while :)
Nice video man. I've always wanted to shoot this but never got the chance. And the box is so clean too!
thanks for the support! i'm quite sure you can still find fujicolor 100 around - it's the exact same thing, just in a different package :)
@guywithfilm not in South Africa unfortunately. But keep up the good work, amped for more videos💯
appreciate it, more content to come!
I have an old 2MP camera and the image is perfect. No pixel was generated of smudged together. Probably a bigger sensor for the 2 MP.

thanks for the tip! i will... once i find a place that can do e-6 where i live :)
Really cool video man!
thanks so much for the support!
The name translates to "(business) recording use color film", if you want to be precise
thanks for sharing!
ektar is really great if you overexpose a little. sometimes I shoot at 80 iso.
oh wow, i might give that a try sometime :)
There were some shots with a Xpan is it? Some of the photos had a different aspect ratio
i just cropped some of the shots to a pano crop haha. i have no money for an xpan lol
Neat! 🎉
thanks for the support!

@guywithfilm thank you very much, Theo Crawford and other small creators I have seen using multiple very similar styles
handsome fella
eh uncle, this isn't coffeeshop understand
@guywithfilm downvoted 👎
Why do you need a light meter with a nikon F3?
it’s very weird. the light meter does not engage for the first 2 shots on the f3 (2 shots after the initial winding to frame 1). apparently it’s supposed to be a feature? i still don’t understand it haha
@@guywithfilm ha yes indeed you need to be at 0 for the lightmeter to work. i do it without thinking about it.
