I hope you can update lockpicking and make it more interesting. The one that we have is very annoying and not very engaging. Some basic minigame perhaps? Also it would be nice if we could pick doors in POIs, it would be an interesting alternative for breaking doors in stealth builds.
The undead legacy mod lockpicking is great. Its very much like Skyrim.
Would love to be able to lockpick doors as well.

I’m pretty sure the reason most games don’t do lock picking like fallout does with their radial sweet spot detector is because they have a patent on it, which makes it iconic to their series in an unfortunate coincidence, so people could easily call it out. That’s why most other lock picking minigames make no sense or look really lame, like having to tap the pegs in the lock or something, because they *have* to distinguish it in some way from that. Thief 2015 has a rotational lock pick minigame, but it comes with a sweet spot indicator, and it doesn’t pause the game so you have to look to either side to make sure you don’t get caught.

This game made me re-join the PC gaming crowd after a 20 year hiatus. Hyped for alpha 20 and beyond!

Love how much better the cities look, with the street markings and layouts, and the placement of buildings. Makes it look much more like an actual city, and not just like a vaguely city shaped area.
Tile sets look awesome and are such a great idea but some of the prefabs in the tile sets are a little odd, such as the road markings in some areas and the positioning of the bus stop shelters etc... for example in the real world you wouldnt see a double yellow line seperating a turn lane like that or a bus stop right at the intersection of a 45deg corner. 🤔 New POIs look amazing and I cant wait, really looking forward to playing Alpha 20. Great work guys! 😁

I keep playing and I'll keep waiting until your vision is met... this is my favorite game. I have a neurological condition and I used this game to retrain my brain to play games again. It's working because I already played it and love it so much. I'm not even close to where I was before this happened but I'm just glad I can play again. Thank you guys for making such an awesome game. I can't wait for the what comes next. I love every thing you guys come up with!
cant wait for A20! A couple of things id love to be addressed is:
-only 1 person being able to access a storage container at a time (a pain when your group get back from looting and 1 person at a time is allowed to store)
-random hordes are great but i always feel cities are underwhelming with their danger levels
-add a choice for old school 7 days where you had to craft a ton of stone axes to level up tool crafting and mix that with the point system
-when yall added sleeping zombies and they fell through the roof, it scared the shit outta me. I loved it! more close quarter fighting where you feel pinched would be awesome!
-maybe more standard zombie skins?
So I just wanted to make sure are you guys releasing the finished version on the PlayStation 5?

@@commandonate9618 I saw a video not too long ago that said they gonna put it on Ps5 and the new Xbox but the old stuff will not get an update if this is true and the new ones are getting the update stuff I might as well get a Ps5

Been my favorite developers since A10. Even if I don't agree with all the decisions, like for example, removing plains, removing the old hills/mountains in plains, etc.
You're legit my favorite developers, 7dtd is the game that I've gotten the absolute most value out of, by far. Thanks Fun pimps, and thanks for paying attention to the forums and feedback. You listened to me and others polls about perk and level locks, and we love you for it.
Keep up the good work! IF I ever really make it in some way, I'm definitely donating or buying more of your stuff.
and to those who have not fallen inlove with the game yet, it takes some time, the more you learn, the more you enjoy it kinda, and if you've gotten your hundreds of hours out of the vanilla game, the modding community is awesome (Sad that Valmar hasn't made a new valmod, cause that was my fav simple mod) But we got Sphereii, War3Zuk, Spider, etc.
If you want to play really difficult mods, you can do nomad-warrior on Darknessfalls, even the best players will die =D
Hope alpha 20 comes out soon

i would gladly buy it again. i own 7 Days To Die on PC, Xbox One, & PS4. i am hoping as someone whom bought the two console versions new in store, that people like me are eligable for at least a 20% discount.

So many people have been saying that modders are the ones keeping this game going, but when this is the kind of thing you've been working on, all I have to say to modders is maybe they should make their own game. There are no mods that bring the game anywhere near this. A20 looks amazing! I love what you guys are doing.
lol The Fun Pimps have been at this for over 7 years.. years.. The modders could have make a game twice as good in half the time. And they just work at it in their spare time.. for free.. Luckily modders exist though, they fix all the stupid stuff that TFP breaks or changes.
I find it very funny that you think that. Most of the mods out look like crap, and make the game run like crap. 7 years is really not that long for a game with so much in it, so much you can do. Look at anything Bethesda has ever put out. They spend just as much time on their games, and they're one of the wealthiest game companies out there. TFP started out as just a small group of guys with a very big idea. I would love to see any of the modders try to make their own game. I guarantee it wouldn't be as good as this.

What kind of games do your family make? Candy crush? It takes years to develop a good quality game. The only reason anyone's upset about the time TFP have spent on this is because they released it so early, which they had to do for funding. You bring up the fact that modders are doing things for free, but imagine where 7dtd would be without that funding. Modders are only able to do what they have, because they're only adding to what TFP have already done, but they aren't adding anything that really improves the game. Most mods add a bunch of zombies that look like they're 10 years behind the rest of the game. Or they add over complicated mechanics that just make it more grindy, which makes it more boring. Granted, there are a few mods that add hd textures that look nice, but they lower performance and cause more glitches. Of the dozen mods I've checked out, only two are visually appealing at all, and only three add anything substantial to the game. What TFP have been working on for A20 is way beyond any mod. And again, every major game development company takes years to put out quality games. Aside from the cookie cutter games like C.O.D. or Assassin's Creed, that never really change, every game that's worth playing for more than a few months took several years to develop, and most of them were made by multi billion dollar companies with teams of a couple hundred or so people working on them. TFP don't have that kind of money or resources, and they've still managed to make one of the best games available. It doesn't look as good as some, because there's so much you can do that it drags performance down, which is one thing they've been working to fix.

The only thought they've ever given to extending play is to make the gear slightly harder to get, not to give us something to do with it.
you should turn the third seat option in the jeep to an option to put a manned gun turret or just a seat that would be coool I have always wanted to be able to shoot my gun from my vehicule also on the motorcycle too. a chance to fire a weapon from or on the vehicule

wow these city gens look amazing. I'm really looking forward to more of the urban feel.
Looking forward to this! The pipe weapons are cool, the new zombies look awesome, and the cites are really going to make the map seem a fuller place. Feral sense sounds really great - just turn it up at night so every night becomes a little more dangerous as the zombies swarm on your home base.
A feature I'd like to see is something to help with the disparity between character levels when friends can't play at the same time. I'd like to be able to grand a friend XP. Or maybe set it so the server has an automatic group-level setting where we all level up at the same time and have the maximum level reached so far on joining; if a friend joins late he starts at whatever level we're all at, and if he misses out a few sessions, rejoins with the levels he missed automatically awarded.
Another thing is the ability to trigger a horde night by command, so we can play as we want to and trigger a horde night in any session when we're all there together.
We are working on procedural worlds and a new grass system in unity at the company I work for as well, so it was fun watching this
Only one thing i dont like about 7 days right now and its water physics. I was trying to build moat but well it didint work as i tought... But A20 looks so good!
If you look at the forums they were supposed to update the water in A20 but it got postponed to A21 so next year.
Can you give us the option to choose our game stage from the world settings. I see what you're trying to do with the RPG aspect of the game but I wanna get a real gun from a gun safe.

Do schematics have a loot curve as well? It would be really cool to be able to get some of the better schematics early on. Late game I can already find the items the schematics are for, so I never really need to build weapons and tools on my own.

I wonder when the vision of this game will come to reality. There needs to be more people working on this game, so development time will be more efficient and to make a great quality game.
Stoked for ps4 porting, I'm curious how that's going to happen. Some people still play A15, who have massive builds that doesn't want to see them go to ruin.

I hope random world gen will have more variety in map layout and poi's.
Hopefully there will be no more big forest surrounded by all biomes and a Shotgun and Food factory in every city.
The game really needs a larger variety of zombies and some late game zombie threats. Currently once you have armor equipped and a machine gun with extra ammunition there's nothing in the game which is a threat for the player even on the worst difficulty levels. We need something which will cause a player to runaway scared from an area or at least something which can discourage travel at night.
when will release
I hope you guys manage to come up with some serious end-game content. Game has to be more than "level-up, build base, get best gear, get bored". Some kind of NPC mission system that would get progressively harder even at higher levels. Rewards could be purely cosmetic at that point, stuff you could show off at your base, cool armor skins, flags or banners, any kind of vanity items. I don't know. Some kind of PvP content or game mode, that would keep the interest up.

I hope you guys get that contract worked out and I hope everything turns out as you wanted to be cuz you guys created such an amazing game and I can only game on the Xbox one right now and getting 7 Days to Die on the Xbox was my best birthday present a few years ago from a family member and I've been playing ever since I got it I hope the contract works out for you guys and you're able to Port all this stuff and hearing that you're adding Bandits is awesome you should add something to like balance that out though like small little settlements around the world that you can discover have thriving and living survivors with a small amount of crops and animals or something so you can trade at these places get little Quests from them like the actual traitor in the game but they be more people and more buildings it would make the game feel like that there's actually hope and that your character building a base is going to establish Hope For Humanity in a world full of zombies and I know this would be an even bigger project how to add AI the isn't hostile and that will give you little Quest objectives but it would make sense for the world of 7 Days to Die and make it feel like there really is Hope

Well this is disappointing for the console players and they still have the cheek charge full price on console version and all updates should be free no man's sky is a prime example of giving to the people instead of always taken. Very disappointed.
Don't like the infection increase, it is one of the things I hate the most.

Why not get a good host? Prime is just not right for it.
Hidden loot stashes, special items, would be cool to see added to the maps, especially for larger sized maps, would encourage people to explore the wilderness more, and a radiated zone that has some unique items or rewards and extremely challenging to go into
So many people still have the Ps4 because they don't have that much money for the new Ps5 or Xbox and they can't afford them! @!

• please disable GFX PP enable 0 command from all but admin commands as everyone on MP just turns it off to remove fog and grass etc. You are just wasting design time having people improve terrain textures when everyone can just turn them off.
• Also, I would rather see variations added to existing POI's rather than new buildings full of cupboards with glass containers / cans. 3 different variations of the same poi is much better than 2 new unimpressive crap loot POI's.
• New unique weapons with high dur high stats that are uber rare and cannot be repaired once dur is zero. Maybe add these as a super rare drop from new boss zombos which themselves only spawn randomly.
• Armour.. waiting until I see the section on that new armour - will update my thoughts on this later

There is no point in making suggestions. They don't care what their player base wants. They are going to make all the shitty changes they want regardless. How do I know this? They have told me this on the forums more than once. For example.. We used to be able to crawl through a 1 meter (1 block) opening. They took that away a few alpha's ago. Even though anyone that isn't morbidly obese can make it through a 1 meter opening.. Now, in A20, we still won't be able to crawl through a 1 meter opening, but the zombies will be able to. It's stupid shit like that, that pisses off the player base and makes the game less enjoyable for everyone. In their minds though, it's a great change.
I think at this point, they have the heads so far up their asses it's just crazy. This is how I know the game is going to continue to get more and more shitty over time. When you stop caring about the people that have put in 1000's of hours into a game you made, you have lost.
@@markjohnson7887 Yea they do seem to be rolling with their own ideas and not acknowledging the playerbase. I guess they just want to give it a rust type polish ready for console.
However I am interested in what their new project is as they did create a good game in 7dtd that stood up to the sands of time and still has well over 20k active players.
Love the game, love the improvements. The only problem I see is that it's looking massively dated graphics wise.
I love how a random person can make a better RWG on their own in a month than TFP take over a year to make. lol Like.. NitroGen and KingGen. Come to think of it, members for the community have been way better at fixing/updating the game then TFP. No idea why it takes them a year or more to do something the community does in about 3 months with less people and for free.

FFS. How about a story line first? The game I bought has not existed for years. When zombies stopped being containers, then I stopped building forts, I just live in the street. I have over 2700 hours in game.

these guys could have went the "dlc" route with alot of these updates, called it good around where xbox stopped, made 7 days to die week 2 and sold as "new,better,more," but they have been with it so long and stayed true to themselves and us. still an awesome game.
Why would they have any reason to go the “dlc route”? Not every game studio has the same thought process let alone budget. The game is still in alpha anyway and has been for like 5 years now.
Some are in it mostly for money (cough, cough....rockstar), but this is their life's work or baby. They deserve more than they ask.
Considering that animals still sprint through bottom of the river/lake/water, "DLC" route would not be very wise.

i just wonder when they will improve character interaction within items and player combat (or just made an animation overhaul + HD player model)
Hopefully they can hire some of the crew from Dying Light so we have quality bandits, improved parkour movements and some real late game zombies threats.
i just hope we get some high tier weapons that dont look like scrapmetal.
