- Hurricane Milton made landfall as a dangerous Category 3 storm near Siesta Key in Sarasota County at approximately 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. The storm brought devastating rains and damaging winds across the state, knocking out power to more than 2.2 million customers. Milton was down to a Category 1 storm with 90 mph winds and moving east-northeast at 16 mph, the National Hurricane Center said in a 2 a.m. advisory, adding that "very heavy rains and damaging winds continue across much of Central Florida."
All the prayers have cast a blessing on Florida, saving lives.

I literally lost everything the oak tree behind my house fell on my roof, please god send relief. I’m afraid I lost everything but me and my family are safe. God I hope everyone else is safe, this was not fun, at all.

It was bad in that several people were killed by tornadoes spawned by the hurricane as it was close to landfall.
We’ve had a lot of rain and wind gusts. It’s bad here in Orlando.

Praying for all of us. Here in Jupiter, FL. Lots of gust winds not lots of rain. I was woken up at 11:00 p.m. and will be up until sunrise. Power still up and no damages so far - thanks be to God. Praying also for not major flooding, since this past weekend it started raining (Sunday through Monday) prior to Milton arriving, our soil was so saturated already.
We had super saturated soil as well... Thank goodness the rain slowed down compared to this morning. We are going to get the worst wind we will experience soon, but hoping for minimal damage
We lost power in some parts of Jupiter and few branches and leaves here and there in the road

NG are there to rescue people in Spanish Lakes. Tornado took out whole streets. People trapped some fatalities. Don't think they are just "cleaning up". This is a serious matter.

MAX VELOCITY ON UA-cam WAS THE VERY BEST IN REPORTING I HAVE EVER SEEN. He lost power around 1:00 AM. Hoping he’s OK. He lives in Florida.

That’s what my mother-in-law that lives on anna Maria island said as well. Her home was destroyed by the last one.

@@christiebarnhart4157 I grew up on the West Coast and it was the running joke growing up how Sarasota is always immune, we were always spared. Everything just kinda always kept on way north to the pan handle. Never had to get into any closet because of tornadoes. Last night was unbelievable 😢

We got a tornado in the Glades and that was it. All of the rain is on the north side of storm, and very dry to the south. A weird shaped hurricane.

This hurricane was disappointing it was so hyped but was a major let down. I put my pets down for nothing 3 dogs 🐕 we did not even loose power
