- I made a new friend called Davide Swarup today :D. Beautiful hang improv solo! Best I have ever heard..

Back again after eight years to say this one still blows my mind. I can close my eyes and just imagine being in that park without a care in the world.
Definitely! This solo blew me away.. Me and a friend were sitting there, jaw dropped and just enjoyed in awe :D. He's great!
I can listen to this for hours!

What i like about him is that he actually comes IN to the sounds he play. He's one with rhytm, like a original indians with their raindance.

I've had the pleasure to listen to this instrument in Montreal, Canada. I bet most of you think WTH? How did the person get this. I was bike riding with 3 of my bud's along the river and we decided to stop near a small wood dock to enjoy the scenery, we then heard this incredible sound. We were all captivated by it. We enjoyed the scenery and heard the most beautiful music by this young man, in his 20's. This instrument sounds amazing live.
I want to meet him! He is a magician at the Hang!
He plays almost everywhere but he seems to be mostly in the netherlands...
He is forgetting everything and playing that Hang like... well you hear it...

I have seen alot of guy's playing the Hang and been wowed, but this guy has somting extra... nice, nice but with the extra niceness :)
It's easy to play; all of the notes on the drum are all already in harmony for you. Just hit it wherever you want and it makes a song for you! It's kind of like the special Olympics, everyone gets a trophy!

In the zone...
They are hand made by 2 guys in Switzerland. Because they're hand made, they are more expensive. When they first came out, you could buy them for 300 US$. Now that they've become much more popular, it's hard to find them under 6,000 US$. If you want one new, there's about a 2 year waiting list.
@xxcio Considering some instruments are multiple centuries old and are still used today, yes, I would say that 9 years was not so long ago...

se llama hang drum y es un instrumento suizo,
hay lista de espera porque son totalmente artesanales,y cuesta unos 1500 dolares.

hay lista de espera para cononoseguir uno. por lo q me a dicho unun conocido q lo o tiene solo los acen en suiza de forma artesanal y cuesta entre 1000 y 1300 € pero se sale

I have a Hang and met the makers. THey aren't on an ego trip at all. THey are some of the nicest people you could wish to meet. So welcoming and helpful. They offer such wonderful help and advice. They don't want to mass produce the Hang as making them is a skill that takes years to acquire. If it were massed produced, it would be rubbish.
Send them a nice letter, be patient and you might be lucky! :)
