I just bought my first horse. I don’t have much experience with them. Just a little here and there over the years. Went with a draft Percheron. He has a bunch of cracks in his hoofs but he’s huge and sweet as can be. Only 3 years old so learning how to work with him before I even can ride him really. I’m trying to figure out how to figure out his hand height still. But I’m 5’8 and he towers over me. I actually like his size and it didn’t intermediate me whatsoever. Learning how to put the harness on today actually. lol.
Exciting stuff, congrats! Your farrier should be able to help with the hoof cracks, Fame had one too. You can buy a measuring tape for his height if you’re curious - or your vet can tape him. Best of luck to you both!

I've never heard of this company! Totally going to get one, especially since they're so customizable, and look beautiful. I have a big Andalusian mare, who unfortunately doesn't fit very much of anything. I tried to get her an over-sized warmblood halter in the past, and had the same issues. Cheeks and crown were too short, and her roman nose couldn't fit in the noseband. Please post on your Instagram when you get Fame's new one in!
