Fantastic video. Love the obscure camera angles, can definitely see the vice grip garage influence. The part where the knife falls off the table was hilarious. I do that once every couple of months. Good to see Jason B.
I really do hope you do get that Typhoon sorted out. The oddly working tanks remind me of when I was doing a demonstration of my R & R Resolution class in Gloucester docks, England. One of the microswitches for the bow ballast tank ( which were similar to the Engel ones, but without the threads protruding) decided to blow, causing a short. This resulted in an uncontrollable dive. I would have lost the boat in 20 feet of water/ mud if it hadn't been for a rescue attempt. Hopefully, you will fare a lot better with your 'scale model test tank' outside.
I wonder if the power leak is related to the piston tank issue. Seems like you have a wiring issue, assuming the switch is working properly. Is that related to the piston tank problem? Could be.
No need to use the interlock when I can just program the radio to handle the same function. It's always an option, of course. I have some preliminary programming in hand and hope to have that knocked out tomorrow if things go well. I will be swapping the tank wires to check whether it's the tank or the controller. If the controller, I'll need to get a new one...
@@RCSubGuy If you switch the fore and aft tank wires and the problem switches tanks (indicating it's the Tmax controller) before you replace it give it a good look over for bad solder joints or connections. It seems like a relay or connection problem. Don't you have another Tmax controller that came with the Engel Gato? Maybe borrow that one for a test?
Really like the ballast tank design!

Thanks for the comments! I appreciate it!
Hope you grow learn and have fun Logan

Welcome back.

;-)
Awesome opportunity for Logan!
Good luck Logan and well done mate .
Hose clamps? Not saying I know anything but a bit of hydraulic experience….. Oetiker clamps Bob. Yes! Hard to replace but, I will say, nice clamps.
Have fun, Logan. I would come to help you Bob, but the van is not ready yet, ☹Good luck at the shop.

Do you have a sticky limit switch in the tank?
Bow interlock by KMC
Piggy back both ballast tanks off one controller
