The reproduction model is fine but the steel isn't the same as the Adams original, I've had mine for 40 years and still as good as the day it came into my possession from my army days, just keep in mind it's a tool that'll smash and chop and is not designed to be Sharp to the point you can shave your face with, chopping wood of some size it's best to angle your chopping motion,back in the day it was known as the pig that lived in a Bergen !
I have the same model of survival knife from the British Army, and so far I have been using it as a tool when chopping wood to debark tree trunks. I think you can use this heavy, stable knife as an ax, but also for filigree work.
I’m ex army and recently got one myself and I have no problem with the replica its good at all of the test you are doing it needs sharpens with a wet stone out the box
Hate to say it but when you were Chopping it wasn't the knife that was at fault it was the way you were Chopping it .....45 degree left strike followed by 45 degree right strike .....Personally I couldnt fault this knife good all rounder !!
@@colheg3113 ignore my first comment my bed I thought this was a different video the knife is a decent knife I've used it since but it didn't chop through that specific piece of wood now you can critique my method but I'm still hitting a piece of wood dead Centre I have used it the same way since and had no problem with it.
A word of advice from an ex professional advertising photographer. If you're going to make a review about a product, show the product. For most of the video the product was too far away to be seen properly and you had your hands all over it and then when you put it down you stabbed it into a piece of wood on an angle so no one can see it.
Good stuff pal, been looking for a review of these cheaper knives. But am guessing 30 quid for a pound of metal with an edge and a handle you can't really feel ripped off. Good stuff mate 👍
You really don’t want to be chopping over stone,mate.( your table…)…I think you really need to get someone to teach you how to use a knife.No offence,but I think you may hurt yourself,in a real survival situation.
There's no stone it's iron table with a plastic stuff kind of like plaster makes look real but at the same time lighter an I used this 7 times out in the woods since makin this video pal I have used to split an chop wood no a shrack on me pal you say no offence then question my intelligence I'm going to take offence

Best knife . You can track bash with it ie on a tank . It's that strong . Great vid
