  • Опубліковано 13 чер 2021
  • In this video, I explain how to photograph light trails. A beginner tutorial!
If you fancy taking pictures like the one in this video's thumbnail, then this video is perfect for you! I guarantee this kind of photography is way easier than you probably imagine. All you need is a half-decent camera and a sturdy tripod. Couple that with a good location, you're almost done!
This type of photography is perfect for wire-wool photography and firework photography too! It's typical of long exposure photography at night.
Watch the video and if you've got any questions please ask in the comments section.
    Cheers
    Gary

Another excellent video. Thanks for the tips. Lateness (in the summer months) seems to be the key. I’ve had a crack at this myself but my location was unimaginative. I love the way you made use of that S bend. Thank you 🙏

Great shots Gary. I must have driven under that bridge hundreds of times fetching my lad to and from Leeds uni. Never thought of taking any pictures there though. I've always been fascinated by the cooling towers at FB, a sight gradually disappearing from our industrial landscapes. I've been thinking of doing some industrial/blue hour shots so this had definitely brought some added inspiration. Cracking video.

Super nice. I guess that long exposures make everything looking 100 times better. You would never think that the highway can be so nice. As for being safe at night - a fellow photographer was attacked in Glasgow a few weeks ago and all his gear was stolen. It's a real shame. So you need to be careful.

Your reminding me more & more of the great Mike Brown - myth busting with a straight foreward approach - showing how to do things instead of blathering on. He was a master at it and so are you Gary. Here on Anglesey we cant get that kind of elevation, but doing the Suspension Bridge traffic gives some great results. Great vid and images Gary - big thumbs up.
