What an insane hunt with adventure around every corner! Sat down and $5 gold I’m beyond excited watching these past two videos know! Been hitting logging camps last 5 years. My time will come. But Oregon trail is much more epic.
History is history. I love it all.
Huge question I hope you will answere. There is a simalar trail near me that was heavily traveled from the1750's to the late 1800's. Different maps show slightly different locations and no where can I find the definite location of the trail. How do you find the exact path when you research?
Trial and error. Get the permissions and put boots on the ground. Look for wagon ruts on the land. If you are in the right area, you should hear it right away. Then tighten things up and move slow. You can do it!

Congrats on some excellent finds! Y’all should send those coins to get graded. It could increase the value a lot if they are slabbed and given a number grade. Older gold coins carry a hefty premium and are gonna sell well beyond their spot price even in a really bad condition.
