Just letting you know my oil filter on my 2016 kia sorento sx V6 3.3L is on top of the engine. So if someone watching is like oml wth just look around XD.
My 2007 Hyundai Sonata Limited had this same 3.3 L V6 with the filter on top. I just purchased a Kia Sorento EX with 3.3 engine and this video will be a big help in changing my oil and filter the first time. BTW, 27mm is 1 1/16 (1.0629) inch size in so either size should work on the oil filter nut.
Great video, why they did not make a access door for the drain plug and oil filter is beyond me. My wife's car on her 2016 Kia Soul has 2 doors, much easier then taking the whole plastic cover off.
That's either the 2.0 or 2.4 4 cylinder Sorento engine. Not the 3.3 V6. The V6 engine oil filter is on top of engine folks. The 2.0 and 2.4 will require 5.1 quarts of oil and the 3.3 V6 will require 6 quarts of oil when changing.
Watch this video this morning before changing my oil. Have the v6 engine. Caught hell trying to find the oil filter underneath. We finally found it on top driver side.
Thanks for the video bro. How do I make Kia Sorento engine last longer. I recently saw people saying Kia Sorento engine Burns oil fast and it's engine doesn't last long in USA? I'm Shocked because in my country Kia Sorento and other kia Cars don't have engines that Burns oil and they last long even driven for long distances.
KIA USA recently extended their engine warranty on my 2016 Sorento 3.3 to 15yr, 150K due to coolant leaking into the heads. My engine had catastrophic failure at 60K but was mostly covered at the time for full replacement.
