Can’t wait cody and also u should play a game with us subscribers to see what kind of shells that ur gonna use and all of us can guess what shell that will be fun can’t wait !!
And I’ve learned a few more tricks from you seriously much appreciated again ima get some wood I have more than enough DR11 hdpe tubes and do what you did on that note gonna start my project man your very skilled and any information u have to share with us I love thanks
I like these plans. We have just always left the base on and screwed them down to a 4 foot 2x8. 4 screws in each base and go 2 wide. We put 24 on a 4 foot board. I put 16 inch braces on either end just to be safe but my nephew does not and has never had a tip over.
@@supbra808 i would say about 80 shots. But if the launcher blows up its still nothing to crazy if your at a safe distance since thier hdpe. Just use em till they bulge or blow up. Thats the fun part lol
Getting warm out...anyone else getting the itch? Time to go to the firework store! I have a few excal tubes leftover and this is very helpful thanks bud.
Yeah. I built a slide style one years ago, if done right it can be used for both Excalibur and wooden baaed fiber glass tube. It was mostly made of scrap wood so it only cost be $4 for the two other pieces. I would do either 6 or 8 tubes long. Also cut the end piece long, not short like he did, so it can also prevent the rack from tipping over.
I cut the edges of 6 fiber glass tubes and put them in a 5 gal bucket. The fuses on the shells reach each other ao no need for visco fuse. Looks like a revolver pretty cool. Now Ima try it with DR11s.
Excellent that’s awesome because I do that with the fiberglass tubes I got a hammer and I take the bases off the bottom and now I can do it this way already have most of the tools , thanks for showing and learning how to do it this way very cool
Very good ideas. I'll try them. On the thinner wood, pre-drill for the screws you're using to attach the piece. This will prevent the thinner wood from splitting.
Nothing like some Homemade racks made by yourself. sure we all could buy nicer ones from these "sites" but Nothing feels better than something made by your hands. 🤟
@@CodyBPyrotechnics At 6:00 you cut a board perpendicular to the fence AND the blade. It's very common during cuts like that for the piece on the right side of the blade (between the fence and the blade) to turn towards you, and get ripped out of your hand pulling your hand towards the blade. The end results of that are never pretty!
Wow, those tubes have a thicker sleeve at the base, for extra pressure (like a Parrott Rifle cannon). That's a serious tube, definitely worth reuse. And my chickens send greetings to yours. :-) (Mine previous ones were acclimated to artillery and black powder. But the current ones are homebodies.)
Here in Canada you can't buy artillery shells sadly, but that it how I make my roman candle racks. Just switch the tube with a skinny tube to fit the candles.
Awesome ideas, I do have an idea for your slide rack you can put a stopper at the end of it just on the right or left corner ad a screw and the back plate can move up and down to take out or exchange a diff tube.
@@CodyBPyrotechnics thanks Cody glad you like my idea, and thank you for making this video I sorta made one of those racks by just screwing the fiberglass tubes some I had close some I made father apart, I love this slide threw I’m deff making one and posting a video on it when I do I’ll let you know so you can check it out.
Just as an idea, you could have drilled couple of holes on each end and bend a piece of round iron bar to use as pegs that would have secured the rack on the ground serving both as a stopper and an achor point to make it even more stable on some bumpy and questionable grounds
Love it Cody!!! Just to let you know, I have OCD, and watching your videos helps me handle my worries and ticks. Keep it up man, can’t wait to light up the sky on 4th!!!!!!!! Almost there! Picking up some fireworks later this month 😀
i don't like using a hole saw as because it is unstable and might cut into the wall of the tube. I use a straight cutoff bit with a bearing on my router and it cuts the plate off flush with the sleeve (or tube if you remove sleeve). not that the hole saw would not work though... Love the vids

I been wondering the same thing. Would really like to open my own store but I can't understand how it would be all that profitable. Or where to get the products cheap enough not to sell at phantom prices lol..
This mortar look like Red Apple Fireworks have it, supply aisle but they have 3 different sizes boards, that I saw. I want to buy it but is don’t fit my car… I should bring a pickup truck next time
I remove the reinforcing sleeve, the tube is strong enough, it’s basically the same as normal HDPE tubes. It makes the racks MUCH lighter and more compact. I did make a rack for tubes with the sleeve on. It was the same size (and weight) as a 1.3G 3” mortar rack! In this older video I cut the bases with a table saw but I like your hole saw idea better. ua-cam.com/video/t9L_MT2hWnU/v-deo.html
I WILL BE TESTING OUT THE RACKS TOMORROW, STAY TUNED 😈

That is pretty creative my guy
Good daily upload we need big loud canister 6”
I bet you forgot to pre-drill with a countersink bit and so it split.
Been wanting to make this video for YEARS. Hope this helps you guys who have a plethora of these excal tubes!
Thanks cody. This will definitely help this year

How long would you be able to safely re use these?

No joke, I was just thinking what I was gonna do with my old excal tubes couple days ago. Thanks for the vid 😀

Believe it or not, I did lol
Love that slide method rack, I'm definitely making one
That’s my favorite one too lol
Great vid, very helpful as usual. Chop saw better than table saw for cutting these size boards
Nothing like some Homemade racks made by yourself. sure we all could buy nicer ones from these "sites" but Nothing feels better than something made by your hands. 🤟
Love this! Be careful with that table saw though, there was a few scary moments there!
What scary moments? Lol

Do you ever have any issue with tubes popping out of wooden racks? Should I liquid nail the tubes to the 2X4 base of the rack to help secure them?

Love your channel. I have so many of these now. I am so doing this !!!!
Super cool Cody!

I can get like 3 maybe 4 straight tubes out of 4 boxes. Growler also has the same tubes. I made a 12 tube rack. I screwed my tubes down to the board.
Thanks for doing this video. You made it look pretty easy

I appreciate that! Thank you!
I subscribe because you’re the best
Do they need to be excalibur? I have seen some of the same tubes from different brands
The Xcaliber tubes have been rather wavy/melted and very in length the last couple years. Like they have a new supplier.
My growler tubes are all kinda of wiggly, and vary as much as 1 inch, lol, lots of flashing too that needs to be cut off
Step one: buy 300 acres of land. Step two: buy chickens
Thanks
It has been a while since I heard Lexi laugh at you.

We’re the chickens having fun?
When making my own tubes how long should the tubes be
Okay, Cody, when I saw the chickens at the start, I thought you were going to use them to make a rack of individual chicken feeders.
Thanks for the info
Se puede poner cualquier moltero en esos tubo
Great information thank you
Awesome vid I love it. keep making more vids u are my number 1 favorite pyro and UA-camr you inspired me to buy fireworks
Hey Cody! Do you know how I can find a career with fireworks? I’m 21!

Instead of a permanent stopper get a med to large Carter pen and make a removable stopper
If you take a pair of pliers And take off the remaining screw that poked you. It will break off flush to the board that's what I did.
I was building a rack today myself what are the odds
Great vid. Could just eliminate all of this and screw the bases down to a single board, tho
This mortar look like Red Apple Fireworks have it, supply aisle but they have 3 different sizes boards, that I saw.
I want to buy it but is don’t fit my car… I should bring a pickup truck next time
Nice 👍🏻
One suggestion. Do not drill or screw into the wood, while the tubes are in the rack...
Yeah they didn’t go into the tube
I just screw these down into a flat board and get like 10 of them to rack up
Same 🤣
8 weeks until 4th of July
My hole saw keeps coming off
The HDPE tubes are pretty rugged and durable, why waste 'em?
They are always slanted

I just epoxy my tubes to a board
What type of wood pieces did you use for the 3 show
Wish my chickens were as nice as yours. My rooster attacks everyone
I built the last rack one last year and that shit tip over ☠️shot to my house
oops!! bad screw placement.
If you just use a hammer and hit the edges of the base the square falls right off!
Tried that, only works when the base is wooden. These are not
I see chickens.
😻😝✌🏻🌎🙏🏻🇵🇷
I came up with an ingenious way to make the slide racks and takes less wood
