That’s pretty easy once you have explained it as you showed it! Thanks ever so much. Reading the manual just didn’t dial me in. I have a terrific hiding spot for the key….ssssh
Very clear demo. Good video. On my 2019 Goldwing tour only the side panniers need to be open for the emergency start procedure. The ring pull for the top box just allows access to it which would otherwise be impossible. My dealer wasn't aware that this procedure even existed!
Great video. I strongly recommend all to try in the garage and practice every few months. Moreover, always keep 2 spare batteries in your riding jacket. They are cheap on Amazon or Ebay. If you have a facial recognition or open code set up on the phone, keep the codes in your phone in Notes.
Not much good if you lose the key fob except for key failure due battery being dead in fob. The main key is for secret storage on the bike for use when fob is unavailable.
Greetings. Your Honda Dealer will need to verify you are the owner first. Once established, a new key/unit has to be ordered. I lost the key (no back up existed) during a recent move so I'm very familiar with the procedure. DOES seem a bit complicated.
Thank you for your great important video It's a crazy procedure why honda made it so complicated !!! 🥵 Question After successfully completing the emergency procedure and starting the machine, what happens if you stop the machine and turn it off with the 2 saddlebags closed???
I just bought a used '18 Wing. I have a spare key with a metal tag that has 8 digits, not 9. I don't have a paper tag that has 9 digits... Are the numbers on the metal and paper tags the same? If not, how can I find that out? Great vid BTW, I'm very glad I wathced.
Why should one go 4 the Tour instead of the dct Base model besides the smaller windshield? Does the Tour version come in the mate blue colour and the option 2 add later on the middle trunk în the back? Does the dct have an airbag? Thx
The tour has the larger screen as you mentioned the tour can adjust the suspention from within the setting the base cannot. The tour has the top box and a backrest for the passenger. the tour also has heated seats that the standard doesn't have. The tour has a centre stand and a sidestand the base doesn't. it just has the side stand. The 2022 tours have the front fog lights as standard the base doesn't. Off the top of my head thats all i can think of. I just bought the tour today so if i find any others i will update. I dont think theres a matte on any of the tours mine is bright blue and glossy. Picture of it there on my profile. The tour is about 4 thousand more than the base but for me its worth it for the extra storage and heated seats.
Ridiculous - just give us a physical key to operate everything. I hated this crap on my 2018 DCT. Sometimes technology goes a bit overboard and doesn’t make life easier like it’s supposed to.
last numbers a secret. clicks the button 4 times....lol
It was the first time I've learned about this, and it was very helpful.

The key is stored inside the fob. Both fob have the key inside it.

Awesome. I am amazed at this bike. Thanks!
Excellent Ed!
Tanks a lot! very good Job ... By from Italy😉
What to do if the ignition key is lost. Does this method work or not?
any idea how to obtain these codes if you buy a used goldwing from a private owner who doesn't have the codes?
GOOD QUESTION

wow what a sequence.
Can i open the fuel door with this procedure?
what happens if you just stop the engine but everything else is still on ? will it restart or do you have to go through the process again.

Thanks for not showing the cover removal.

what a cool feature , the new Goldwings are great in tech. but the older ones still looks better.
You're nuts. The old ones were bloated and hideous. The new one is sleek.
A little ridiculous but ok.
