  • In this video, we're excited to share with you one of the best things you can do on a smoker - cooking beef short ribs!
    Sometimes referred to as "brisket on a bone," beef short ribs can be intimidating to cook, but in this video, we'll show you how easy they are to prepare and smoke on a Traeger.
    We'll start by preparing and trimming the top of the ribs to get the best smoke flavour into the ribs.
    Then, we'll share our favourite rub, Meat Church's Holy Cow, and walk you through the cooking process on the Traeger.
    By the end of this video, you'll have the knowledge and confidence to make mouthwatering beef short ribs in your own backyard!

    Love cooking shorties, interesting no binder? I might have a crack at this method 👍

      Yeah I don’t often use binders, maybe on pork ribs with some mustard but that’s more for the flavor. Most meat is tacky enough and if you get it on early enough it will bind by its self. 👍

      @@RedSmokeBBQ we have used Worcestershire sauce for our beef ribs. But you’re right the beef is tacky enough without it.

    Nice ribs! I prefer to leave a lot more fat on, but that's usually because I'm a little sicko. Those bad boys looked legit regardless :)

    No binder needed under the rub?

      I have never needed a binder as the meat is tacky enough. It’s a personal preference but if you allow 30min you usually don’t need it.
