    A quick follow-up to the first museum gel video because I loved the idea of turning it into a blobfish! This time I tried a few more ways of adding colour including pigment and acrylic paint. I also added glitter which produced an amazingly aesthetic effect. Something about this reminds me a lot of clear slime and all the textures you can create with it. But at the same time it behaves like a clay so there's more room for creativity. It doesn't become dirty or dry up in the same way as slime and there's more longevity.

    This is so morbid knowing the reason blobfish look like that....

      @@tinajean5998 idrk the science behind it but basically blowfish look the way they do is because they are removed from their natural habitat which is deep underwater with a lot of pressure. When you take them out of the ocean they look like those pink blobs.

      There's no skeleton structure because it uses water pressure to keep it's shape. When it's out of the water there's no pressure. No pressure=no defined shape=blobby

      @@tinajean5998 They basically explode like popcorn when at surface levels, because they are deep sea fish.

    Fun fact!: that one picture of a blob fish you see is not what it really looks like it was actually just the pressure of the water so if they were higher up they would look more normal!

    • @frosgare
      @frosgare 5 місяців тому

      actually its the opposite, the blob fish becomes like this because of the *lack* of pressure, so if they were in the deep sea (their natural habitat) they would look much more normal and more like the average fish

    A nano bubble idea!!! In one of your videos you lined up a few pieces of nano tape to make a bigger bubble but what if you take like six pieces instead of two?❤

    Can you put museum gel inside a nano tape bubble and make the museum gel hold shape and then make the nano tape bubble last longer.

    No, I don't think you should be making more diys with blobfish maqaroon. I know you probably have the best of intentions but what we see as the blobfish is a result of careless fishermen pulling out a deep water fish from its natural habitat and causing severe tissue damage from decompressing too fast, making it look like this. They don't look like this in their natural habitat, they look like normal fish. this is basically a corpse that the internet deemed cute and trendy...
    edit: actually the fact that it's melting is even more disturbing because taking it out of deep water where pressure is high would cause it to be unable to hold its shape since its flesh is jelly like..
