Thank you for sharing. I grew up not far from Athens but live in Orlando. Unfortunately, I work night shift so I wasn't going to be able to watch the 110 in person
Sounds like someone may be a little uneducated and biased. The clarity of the marching southerns makes this not even close, Ohio hornline was splatty. But the high school comment is funny because one band danced around, yelled, and played out of tune ( Like a high school) and the other entertained and played good music. Sincerely, someone with no connection to either school.
@rebeltuba9422 I'm not saying they sounded bad, I'm saying they have 400 kids in their band play songs from the 1800's and the marching is very high-school competition band style. They sounded good but if you go on creativity, ability, sound, and show ohio wins hands down
Yeah, right. @8647309 One of these bands is using every high school gimmick from the 80's...going blat, blat, blat...with half the snare line playing like they've only been on the line for 2 weeks. Either that or they didn't know the tunes. And the other? The Sudler Trophy winning, BOA fave, PASIC drumline winning, internationally renowned Marching Southerners. Get a clue.

Thanks so much for sharing. Love seeing both bands!

@elijoyner5040 out of tune my hind end. Just mad because we won both ways band and game. Go 110 and bob cats. Yeah my sons in the band
That's hilarious. I'll have to say, though, that bad microphone placement damaged the sounds of both bands.
