Davor Ban some great news, thanks for sharing, here’s to the future of LFC and the success of the club... Oh yeh and let’s bring the title home in 2019/20 !!!💯👌🏼
And as of 2018, FSG have hired one of the most popular Liverpool head coaches ever in Jurgen Klopp, have expanded the stadium by over 8,000 seats, set the world transfer record for buying a defender, set world transfer record for buying a goalkeeper, bought a player who broke the all time Premier league record for goals in a season, and have made it to 2 European finals (both the Europa and Champions League). So naturally they have been, and continue to be, protested against. It seems to not matter that the club are inarguably on the rise and in a far better situation under FSG, but that they are American capitalists.
@@Tifo Side question really. What software do you use to produce this animation? I'm a lifelong Liverpool fan (Kirkby lad) but also a multimedia designer. You've done a cracking job with this.
They've been a really good ownership group for the Boston Red Sox here in the states. On the field - but most importantly off the field and are one of the few teams who DIDN'T go out and build a new facility. Not only has the team been outstanding on the field, but they've really made bank off of it. A few of your old school Sox fans - long running sufferers - don't like a lot of the commercialization - you can buy bricks at the park, Fenway is horrendously expensive (like... incredibly expensive), and you can't turn around a corner without getting sold something - whether it's a photo of you and your friends at the park, food, shirts, etc - but it's also been necessary to keep Fenway viable, but also keep the club competitive on the field. I think a lot of this is what you'll continue to see at Anfield... Henry can be a bit clueless at times, but by sports owners - he's very good to one of the best, tbh.
I hate the Red Sux but it was Henry that made the decision to hire Epstein, the greatest baseball GM since Branch Rickey. Eptein ended 87 Years, then went to Chi Town and ended 108 years. But the Sux won two more after he left and may well win again this year. New Englanders have won so much noe theyve become Yankee/United/City type insufferable. But it all syarted with Henry's decision to keep Fenway and fix it up.
Liverpool FC economy is very healthy right now, no reason to sell the club. The club with Klopp can consistently play in UCL and even try to win it. It can only get better.
Liverpool's total revenue (Matchday + Broadcast +Commercial) for this past season is going to surpass 500M as well for the first time ever. Mark my words!
Yes liverpool been suscesfull club by wining ucl 2019 but it is because of only klopp(liverpool manager) his genius tactics made liverpool win ucl and what job gilet and hicks did for liverpool spends somany money?. By spending somany money for a club is bad idea team will not be suscesfull team need good tactical manager and good pĺayers only
This year Liverpool will have 250m broadcast revenue and total revenues of ~550m. Club kit deal is up next season and apparently Nike willing to pay 80m/yr. They have done incredible work
Well this probably explains why they couldn't win EPL for last 30 years, team had financial crisis until 2010, then it needed time to achieve level of other top english clubs, and only starting last year we could see them as potential winners. So far, i see that who invest more into clubs, like Chelsea and Manchester(s), gets more power, consequently winning trophies. Pure business, babe
One of the best video presentations on the net. Is that Prezi you are using??? Incedentally, you are correct that the club came very close to administration and a related demotion. The problem was not that RBS wanted repayment, they had all but written the debt off. The problem was that Hicks and Gillet were insolvent and if the FSG deal had collapsed because JH became impatient (and he did), there was no one (however much H&G liked to pretend there was) who could have taken over the club and complied with regulations before the salary bill forced administration, as RBS had their own problems and could not put more money in.
Fantastic. I’d love to see how the last 4yrs has improved things. Middle eastern pre season tours, recent player sales, tv money, champions league qualification and reaching the final, sleeve sponsors like WU all this must make our finances sower
lol you typed a comment on this video 2 years ago saying Liverpool need to consistently qualify for the champions league and now they've not only qualified for it 3 seasons in a row, but made it to 2 finals and won the European cup a week ago lol.
Nowt wrong with blue and white, I wouldn't say no way if Liverpool unveiled a retro style away shirt in Liverpool's original blue and white, we should be proud of our origins and our heritage.
Outstanding presentation! I can only imagine what the 2019 sequel would be like, especially after their next shirt sponsorship deal gets worked out. Under FSG, Liverpool will be the model all clubs not swimming in oil money will look to emulate.
I know it's hard to stay away from red ink when creating a graphic about Liverpool, but as an accounting man I can't reconcile so much red ink in a positive way!
Great video Joe....A 4yr update in2020 would show how much of a healthy place Liverpool are in and with back to back CL finals and huge sponsorship next season it's looking good at L4
Small point but...(2:34) in 2010, *FSG* did not pay _anything_ to become total shareholders of the club. John Henry's group was known as *NESV* (New England Sports Ventures) until March 2011. Then it changed to Fenway Sports Group.
Extraordinary analysis! This certainly helps to understand why the entire set of aged and higher waged players were sold during the reign of Brendan Rodgers. For that period of mediocrity, Liverpool can now challenge for better players and higher honours under Jurgen Klopp as financially the club is in a comfortable position. Long may it continue!
Today Liverpool are profitable club that they can even pay for the most expensive defender on virgil van dijk and most expensive goalkeeper in Alisson becker before chelsea bought kepa arrizabalaga. Also another expensive transfers like Mohammed Salah, sadio mane, naby keita and fabinho that is prooving to be succeses with they are now are through the UCL final 2019 in madrid and EPL tittle contender with manchester city in the same year. They are one of the most powerful footbal club in europe now.
I think Michael Edwards has done excellent job in dealing with the player transfer. Whether it is about selling players or buying a new one, he done it wisely.
Interesting video, and LFC has now well and truly smashed that shortfall of not qualifying for the Champions League. I hope FSG and Jurgen Klopp stick around for a long time.
We are better run than Arsenal and getting more bang for buck via player transfers. Arsenal are stagnant under Kroenke and Tottenham success under Pochettino shows even with 6th largest revenue, Spurs can still get into Champions League 2 seasons in a row now (and beat Liverpool to CL for several years while Liverpool had financial problems in 2010/2011, 2011/2012, 2012/2013). Liverpool can take advantage of Arsenal and United's slump via Klopp's tactics. City too are also wasting money on expensive players that do not fit into a team dynamic. Liverpool have the best balanced team dynamic vs Arsenal, United and City currently in my opinion. A few defensive additions to add solidity and more attacking depth to cope with injuries will make Liverpool a consistent Champions League club.
Oliver Marawueke well we will see how Liverpool will do this year when they have to play more games. My opinion is that Liverpool is inconsistent and that they have poor quality bench
FSG the best thing ever to happen to LFC. The thought of my beloved LFC going into administration makes me shudder. Awesome video. Can we have an update please because the new numbers will be staggering to say the least - YNWA

Hey Liverpool fans, be happy, because Henry spent so much that he told the Red Sox general manager that he didn't want to pay the luxury tax again so that ended our season
Fenway haven't invested their own money, but the money is from selling players, sponsorships, gate money, merchandising and television contracts. The net spend per year is very low compared to other Premier League Clubs and the success of Jürgen Klopp and the back room staff is the reason for Liverpool Football Club on an upward curve and current European Champions. The fact they explain in layman's terms and whilst also appealing to economics/finance academia is so brilliant
