I wanted to thank you for the wonderful tutorial. I actually followed your steps and was able to make a very beautiful birdcage veil that I wore to my wedding. Funny part is no one believes that I actually made it, despite my saying that I did!! I splurged on the millinery netting ($10) but was able to make the entire veil for under $15. Again thank you
Thank you for watching! Glad this was helpful. I do have a new version if you're interested in viewing, feel free watch it at: ua-cam.com/video/0pOldRRRh_c/v-deo.html
YOU are the perfect reason why I do these tutorials! I love to encourage Brides to DIY and save money:) Thank YOU for your kind words and please...if you do not mind, I would love to share your work. Please feel free to email me an image of your Birdcage veil...you can inspire other brides:)
this video was so information and easy to understand; i subscribed immediately! just had 1 question: the part where you wrap the tulle around the comb, and when you got to the ends you said you "stay-stitched" it...what does that mean? i know this is probably a stupid question but I really wanna try this. Thanks!
@kirbinov - I apologize for the delay in reply...I saw your birdcage veil and it is absolutely EXTRAordinary! I love the couture fascinator hair piece you created:) Whoever the Bride is will look truly amazing:)
Greetings! Thank you for your inquiry. You can find the metal comb in the jewelry findings of Hobby Lobby. They usually have a 40%off coupon or a 50%off sale.
@kirbinov - if you are using the 18" russian tulle, I would cut it approximately 10" up and approximately 5" in. I would love to see your creation, please send a pic or video reply:) Thanks for visiting!
@km0078 - no question is a stupid question:) when I say "stay-stitch" it means to hand sew it several times at the end to make sure it is tight and secure. I hope this clarifies it for you. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you for visiting!
Greetings! Hope you are doing well. I was wondering share your photo of the birdcage veil you created. I will link it back to your blog...will be awaiting your reply. Thanks!
