Well that is one way of explaining it No doubt future is like past for Allah But there is a simple grammatical answer Any incident which is bound to happen in future is described by past tense in Arabic Also Arabic does not divide verb into past present future It categories verb as complete and incomplete, using what is called past tense for future references as well

"Will" depicts the future as it is used to express something will be happening in the future or hapenning of an inevitable event. this means that nothing has happend so far but Allah knows this information because his knowledge is not measurable and we dont know how Allah knows the unseen. Might be there had been some worlds that has gone through Qayamat. And the people of those worlds are now passing their lives in hell or heaven. However, the world where we are living in has yet to face the day of Qayamat.
I think this is probably what it means, although I would like to linguistically confirm the past tense and in what form it is being said. I think there is also a time travel related element something that is happening in this world has happened in Allah's realm 2.5 million yrs ago so in Allah's realm it's like all the orders have been sent and everything is unfolding the way he has destined but with a kind of lag of 2.5 million yrs or something. So technically in That realm even qiyamat has happened and we are already where we are destined to be based on what we have already done in our life. Dyu catch my drift?

Here is what I used to think about why Qayamat is mentioned in the past tense - It could be our Nabi (SAW) was shown future or it could be that Allah is outside the bounds of time, therefore He knows it has already happened and He is making us aware of it. But my current understanding is, that Qayamat mentioned in the past tense is maybe because that there were others before us and they have been through Qayamat. I'd like to clarify here more that when I said there were others before us, didn't mean that they were here on our land, nor did I mean maybe somwhere in this universe. No. Qayamat happens to the entire universe. It means the END of the whole universe! Therefore, I am suggesting that there could be universe(s) before us, met their end of time. “The Day when we shall roll up the heavens/ universe (sama-a) as a recorder rolls up a written scroll. As we began the first creation, we shall repeat it. (It is) a promise (binding) upon us. Lo! we are to perform it.” [Quran, Al-Anbiya 21:104]

But there is a simple grammatical answer
Any incident which is bound to happen in future is described by past tense in Arabic
Also Arabic does not divide verb into past present future
It categories verb as complete and incomplete, using what is called past tense for future references as well
A guy answered the same way but thats not the answer. Even in this clip the first boy who answered said the same thing "being in the past tense means it is bound to happen" which is not the case here

the translation of the Ayat from Surah Al-Araf, Verse 50 "The residents of fire will then cry out to the residents of paradise...." "Will" depicts the future as it is used to express something will be happening in the future or hapenning of an inevitable event. this means that nothing has happend so far but Allah knows this information because his knowledge is not measurable and we dont know how Allah knows the unseen. Might be there had been some worlds that has gone through Qayamat. And the people of those worlds are now passing their lives in hell or heaven. However, the world where we are living in has yet to face the day of Qayamat.
I think this is probably what it means, although I would like to linguistically confirm the past tense and in what form it is being said. I think there is also a time travel related element something that is happening in this world has happened in Allah's realm 2.5 million yrs ago so in Allah's realm it's like all the orders have been sent and everything is unfolding the way he has destined but with a kind of lag of 2.5 million yrs or something. So technically in That realm even qiyamat has happened and we are already where we are destined to be based on what we have already done in our life. Dyu catch my drift?

Here is what I used to think about why Qayamat is mentioned in the past tense
- It could be our Nabi (SAW) was shown future
or it could be that Allah is outside the bounds of time, therefore He knows it has already happened and He is making us aware of it.
But my current understanding is, that Qayamat mentioned in the past tense is maybe because that there were others before us and they have been through Qayamat. I'd like to clarify here more that when I said there were others before us, didn't mean that they were here on our land, nor did I mean maybe somwhere in this universe. No. Qayamat happens to the entire universe. It means the END of the whole universe! Therefore, I am suggesting that there could be universe(s) before us, met their end of time.
“The Day when we shall roll up the heavens/ universe (sama-a) as a recorder rolls up a written scroll. As we began the first creation, we shall repeat it. (It is) a promise (binding) upon us. Lo! we are to perform it.” [Quran, Al-Anbiya 21:104]

یہ تعبیر جنت کے وجود پر دوسری شہادت ہے۔
