- White Knight CL382WV Drum Tumble Dryer not Turning / Rotating Repair.
In this video I repair a White Knight tumble dryer that won’t rotate the drum. If your tumble dryer is make a buzzing noise and not turning the drum the likely cause of the fault is the motor start capacitor. I will show you how to replace this capacitor assuming you have a White Knight CL382WV Tumble dryer. A similar procedure will be required for other models. Work safely with the mains electricity disconnected.
Thanks for watching.

Just thought I’d say thanks a lot I had this problem, ordered new capacitor and fitted today works as new. Top man
Your welcome, glad it worked.
thanks for this great guide, no mention of the access panel on the bottom in the service manual for a C38AW so I before I watched this video I started taking the back off thinking that was the way to access the capacitor, once I realised my mistake replacing the capacitor was pretty easy and I now have a fully working dryer again for £6, once again thanks and of course I have subcribed.
Just had this prob today, had same symptoms,, no spin and humming noise... followed your spin drum( by hand) procedure and it started fine... looking forward to a nice cheap fix on it now with your help, thank you ❤

Will the tumble dryer push start?

@@TheRepairer can you show how to change the belt on this
I’ve got no need to replace a belt as it hasn’t broke yet! I just make videos on jobs I need to do, be extremely patient and watch this space.....It could take years though if I’m lucky!
@@TheRepairer what dryer did you have befor this one
@@TheRepairer will this work on a c38aw
Can you please tell me do the wires go on a certain way
Yes the same pairs on the right or left of the capacitor.
thank you you have saved me getting a new dryer 🙌
@@alanmorrow1789 I’m glad it worked out.
Hello sir my drum does move at all even with the top off, I’ve got the humming noise, can’t even move it by hand with the door open?
Can you help please
It could be a bearing failure in the drum, likely the motor end.
Hi, sorry I wrote on another thread, I didn’t have four wires, no yellow or brown just two blue and a red, is this ok? TIA
The four wires on this capacitor are commoned in pairs of two so two wires are connected together either side of the capacitor. One wire either side of the capacitor should do it.
@@TheRepairer thank you 🙏
@@TheRepairer hi just fitted a brand new capacitor and the drum still won’t run ,any tips please
Hi
I have a problem with my white knight washer
It's taking the water and drain as well but it's not spinning
Can anyone guide me what should I do now
If it’s not draining well it will disable the spin cycle, it would be worth disconnecting and checking the drain pipe is totally clear of water . See if it will spin on the switched spin cycle first.
