This is so pretty. I have a shawl made from yarn I want to repurpose. I have not worn it as after I finished it didn't like it. I think I finally found the pattern for this yarn...have been looking for 2 years. Thank you for this video.

I have made several of these for friends and they came out so pretty. I think it's where the self striping falls...long colorways. Do you have any advice on the best way to proceed.

I would say if you want it to be easy on your hands then go for frogging..but if you aren't sure if the pattern or want to see how it works up with the yarn then don't frog 🐸

I just need to add one more thing. It is pure genius that you add in your video the chapters that make it easy to go exactly to the row where you need to work. If you need to go back and find it again or you stop and then you have to go figure out where you were I absolutely love this addition to your videos!

I started chaining with 42inch width, but now I am on row 12 I noticed that the width has become almost 60inch😅. The edge is straight and perfect. I dont know what happened here. This is gonna be a very big cardigan for me. Can you help?
Hello! I'm so sorry..the only solution is to rip it out and start again..sometimes our tension changes as we crochet that could be the cause.. I would suggest measuring after the first few rows just to make sure you are on track! I usually suggest starting with a gauge swatch, if you make one, I can help you calculate the stitches you need 😊
Wow, I love this shrug too. I could wear this one at Thanksgiving with a long sleeve shirt. I'm almost done with my Irish shrug getting it ready for St. Patrick's Day. I'm working on the other short sleeve. This shrug here is on my future crochet projects and I'll try to make a long sleeve shrug this time :0). I like short sleeves in the springtime and in the fall and wintertime I do long sleeves. I had so much fun doing the Irish shrug.

I am making the shrug now and your directions are perfect. I'm using the Red Heart Comfort Yarn (1859 yard ball as big as a toddler!) in Smoky Heather Gray. I know I measured 42" on my starting chain, or so I thought. Now I've done four rows and it's measuring more like 52" long and already will probably go wrist to wrist so I'm at a crossroads. Would you frog it or would you continue and maybe find a way to scrunch the sleeves up so they don't go so far down? The pattern is so darn pretty! I'm tempted to just continue and see what happens. Maybe it will draw up some as I go or maybe I can leave off some of the border, though I really like that part, makes it look so finished. I have no idea what I did, maybe I was just tired when I measured the starting chain and my eyes deceived me, LOL. EDITED TO ADD: I decided to just roll with it and to it as is, didn't have the heart to tear it out. ~Cynthia

The shrug is already designed to be oversized ..i would frog if it's possible.. but in crochet nothing is wrong so you may even like it that oversized it is a personal preference! It would depend on the yarn you are using and the size you are making..I suggest just remove the extra stitches unless you want to make a gauge swatch and then I can help you 😊
Hi Mari! The width is where you want the shrug to fall on your outstretched arms and the height is the height of the shrug 😊 The measurements for all sizes are available!
Hi Zaira.. the stitch pattern or design will look much smaller compared to mine since I am using a weight 4 yarn.. you can use the lace yarn.. chain according to the size you want

Would this work with lace yarn?
Hi Zaira.. the stitch pattern or design will look much smaller compared to mine since I am using a weight 4 yarn.. you can use the lace yarn.. chain according to the size you want
