  • Ayy welcome back!
    In this POV street photography video I'll be walking around Berlin with my mate and photography icon ‪@Opticalwander‬ - very luckily happened to be in the same city at the same time so thought why not do a quick early morning POV before my flight back to London!

    Nice video! And props for your effort while your free time on the work trip.
    You stuck a lot to the tourist road though where not much is happening besides nice buildings and tourists. But Berlin is just hard to grasp on a weekend trip. Lemme know when you wanna go street shooting in Berlin again and I'll show you some great spots!

    Once again Jimmy comes in clutch just as I was looking for another POV vid to enjoy! And I was wondering after your remark in the video about swapping to a wider lens, how often do you typically swap lenses when you're out and about? Looking forward to the next video!

      thank you! hmm honestly not that often cause I'm kinda lazy haha - this POV is probs a good representation: a few times each outing max if I need a wide angle shot or want to take a bokeh portrait w my prime

    Could you explain your use of ISO 320 for many of these shots? Just curious what your process and decisions are based on. Subscribed today. Great content!!

    • @JimmyShixin
      @JimmyShixin  7 місяців тому

      Honest reason is probably that it was on iso320 at the start of the day haha, as long as iso is below 1600 for me I don’t rly care about it, above 1600 I’m hesitant to go cause of grain

      I pay more attention to shutter speed and aperture, for daytime street shots I don’t need background blur, so aperture can be like F4 or higher. Shutter speed I make sure it’s faster than 1/60, slower than that and shots can get blurry

    Love your photos! Have you tried the sigma 18-50 2.8? And do you think as an unstabilized lens on an unstabilized camera like the a6400 the results for photo in low light would be worse than with the tamron?

    • @JimmyShixin
      @JimmyShixin  2 роки тому

      thank you!
      Havent tried it but am curious to see how it compares to the Tamron
      For your second Q: short answer yes, long answer yes, BUT, depends how lowlight were talking, if youre doing handheld shots at a slow shutter speed where the shaking of your hand becomes an issue, the stabilised lens / body could make a difference. For example 1/30S or slower you might find blurry footage if nothing is stabilised

    Sir from long time I am watching your videos about tamron 17 _70 mm f2.8 and today I was thinking to buy it and I visited my old dealer who is also friend of mine but he suggested me to go for sigma 18 to 50 because tamron isn't sharp from 50 to 70mm and he said many costumers complaint about it.. Did you faced the same issue with your lense does the images comes out soft from 50 to 70mm ?

    • @JimmyShixin
      @JimmyShixin  Рік тому +1

      hey! good Q - I heard the same about the tamron not being sharp 50-70. I have noticed it yes but don't think its a dealbreaker
      More importantly - the sigma 18-50 has NO 50-70mm, so my logic was I would rather have slightly softer 50-70 photos than none at all

      @@JimmyShixin that’s actually a really difficult one…. I mean to be fair the „Döner“ in Germany is compared to other country’s really good and you can find it every 200 meters. It doesn’t represent the culinary side of Germany tho. You could eat a Currywurst or Schnitzel instead. If you are planing on visiting hamburg I can recommend good places.
      Quick question tho. What is your native language and what languages can you speak?

    • @JimmyShixin
      @JimmyShixin  2 роки тому +1

      @@styfocusedlol2057 love a good currywurst lol - native language is chinese (as in its the first one I learned, but also fluent in German and English, plus a bit of Japanese)
