@@railway187 it's a bit small alongside a 00 train, I'm thinking of building my own 00 station and high platform using balsa wood, card and other recycled packaging materials.
@ It would be nice if you would get the effect of a small English country station, wooden planks, painted borders (in LMS maroon or GWR green or ...). I am looking forward to seeing that project!
@railway187 I'm going to start looking up photos, I'd really like to scratch build it. I've also had a look at the website of that Dutch shop that sells Metcalfe buildings.
Hi Patrick, I like the Hornby Ho Loco, I havent seen this model before. I also like the Jouef Station its a perfect size for your layout. Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏
That's a nice wee station. I think the size is ok for both OO and HO - a higher platform would bring it closer to OO size. However quite a lot of rural stations had lower platforms and had moveable wooden steps to save the passengers having to jump!
@@attuslebeard5133 it's a bit on the small side compared to the Jinty and related 00 rolling stock. I'm considering building my own station for 00 running, something very simple.
@@patricksmodels The download has two buildings, canopy and a toilet block. I printed it out twice so I could make the buildings on both platforms - I used the back half of the low relief one to make the building double the length.
@@ArcadiaJunctionHobbies yes, Jouef made some beautiful buildings and very varied, unlike Lima. I've seen all sorts of nice stuff available second hand, but I'm limited by space. The goods shed has also arrived, we'll have a look at it in the next uploads.
Some of the old Playcraft (Jouef) buildings, shown in their 1967 & 1968 catalogues, ended up in the Hornby Railways range from 1976 until the 1980's. These were the coaling stage with the grabber crane and a couple of the houses. They were given R. (Rovex) catalogue numbers, when in the Hornby Railways range. I have two of the ex-Playcraft (Jouef) rebranded Hornby Railways houses.

Good idea to use an H0 station, it fits very well on the small layout

The Hornby acHO SNCF 131TB is a lovely model. You can still come across them for decent prices on the French market.
The Jouef station building actually looks realistically weathered..

@attuslebeard5133 thank you, in fact I was thinking about your layout station.

Jouef made lovely and useful kits. Wonder if Hornby still has the moulds?
