Quite the intricate mould, but you pulled it off beautifully!! And I definitely like it better with the top coat. 🐸 Thank you for sharing and for considering those viewers that are still quite new to resin! Love, Nat. ♥️♥️🇦🇺
I'm a total magpie and will opt for shiny every time! Great job. It had to be tedious doing all the 'lead work.' I made a stained glass lamp once and that was crazy difficult to keep right. I'm a beginner in the resin art field so you taking the time to repeat simple instruction is very appreciated. You've earned my subscription today! Looking forward to more fun projects! 💚
Thank you! I usually opt for shiny, but this one really made me think. I'm happy I chose to topcoat it . I have been playing with resin (epoxy and polyurethane) for 6-7 years, so I try and pass along tips and do's and don't s . I'm still learning so you'll see some oopsies . 🐸💐
That is so beautiful. I love this so much. Does the sun shine through it or is it a platter? Does the glass scratch the mold? Wow, I think this is my favorite. Blue roses are ''True, unconditional love' So amazing. Also, I really love how clean your workspace it. No distractions.
Thank you! The glass doesn't scratch the mold and if I used a translucent white for the background you'd be able to see through it. Light does pass through it now, but not a lot. Messy work stations distract me. Have a blessed day !
Thank you Tammy! I have no idea how I want to display this right now. I may add hardware on the back to hang it on a wall or display it in a window. ❣️🌸
From watching you ive baught so many kinds of resins molds dyes ect and going to make my first project today and tomorrow want to make the mold you are working on now love stained glass but i have ms and hands wont let me cut the glass so thankyou for your easy going way of explaing i will work on it till i figure it out and definitely going to send donation
That's wonderful! I wish you the best! You've got this. As far as the glass goes, I get it already crushed, it's vase filler. Let me know I'll get you the link. You don't have to send me a donation, just knowing you've been inspired is all I ever want or need. God Bless!❤️
For the faux stain glass? That's the thing the glass is dyed so I'm basically using clear resin. The colored glass can be put right next to each other. If you're using colored resin, I'd wait a minimum of 6 hrs between colors. If you have a heat mat, you lay your first color down, turn heat mat on, cover project and you can place a different color down within an hour.
@@craftingwithsierra I want to I need things to do and I can't quilt like did so I can still do some things for others and good teachers hard to find yes please to link for glass
Here is the link to the glass I use...pour some in a paper cup...add your dye..mix well. Pour it out to dry on top of some paper towel (at least 2 hrs), transfer into a clean dry container or paper cup. Crushed glass (the kind used in the faux stained glass) amzn.to/46PY8AR (Amazon) You can buy it already dyed...but the way I explained it is exactly how companies dye theirs. It's cheaper to dye it yourself.
Sierra, I loved how this turned out. I already have this mold and can't wait to try it now. I never would have thought to use the glass. Does the Bombay Ink dyed glass bleed when it's mixed into the resin? Also, I couldn't read the package can you please tell me the brand of the Arctic Pearl mica powder? I loved the color the white was with the two mixed together. Beautiful Job!! 🐸💖😍
Thank you! The Bombay Ink does not bleed when mixed into resin, that's why I chose to use it. That arctic pearl mica powder is beautiful, unfortunately I can't find it or the company that makes it. I bought it yrs ago. I'll have a look at the brand when I get up to my studio and let you know. Have a blessed day!🐸🌸
I'm positive you scratched up your silicon mold by pushing all that glass down into your mold You could still use the glass in molds if you put the glass on first, then the reason although that might still starch it.
@@craftingwithsierra I wasn't talking about scratches that you could necessarily see but the next time you pour clear resin into it it won't be a shiny
The topcoat was the right idea . It looks awesome .
Thank you!

This is gorgeous! New subscriber here after finding this video :D

It's beautiful! If you want to hide the back, you could use a cork backing. But I like it as is ❤

Thank you! I have a link for it in the description box.

I'm positive that I didn't scratch my mold. But thanks for the tip.
@@craftingwithsierra I wasn't talking about scratches that you could necessarily see but the next time you pour clear resin into it it won't be a shiny
This mold was never shiny to begin with. It's a matte mold. A top coat is needed to have that shine.
