the cinematic/theater comment is pretty on point, avantasia albums almost all tell a story and the singers actually sing character parts, it's literally a rock opera
Great reaction to this masterpiece. Lande and Kursch lift this Sammet composition to heavens. Jørn Lande btw, turned 50 this year. His voice is like fine wine! Jorn is actually from the same county as me, my mother in law used to babysit him when he was a (raven) child! Lol
Adorable! I'm mostly English and Irish but recently found out I'm part Norwegian. Funny to think that we might be distant (very, very, very distant) cousins haha
And kid Jorn be like: "Wheeere is myyyyyy caaaAAAAaaaAAndyyyYYyy???! OhhhOOooHHooo ooHhhoh YYyyyeeaaaaAAAhhh!!!!...." (and points his finger and you slowly creeping closer and closer)
Alle drei Sänger sind überragend. Musikalische ist es fantastisch. In einer Minute ist mehr Rhythmus, Melodie und können als in allen Liedern in den Charts Top 100!
Glad you make this and glad you enjoy this song. Avantasia is my favourite band. You should do more of this honestly, they are amazing, they use a lot of singers for their songs. And it even doesn't matter which song you chose, Avantasia just make you smile during the entire songs, just like your son said. A couple recommendations: *If the son enjoyed the slow parts, try listen or react to something from Blind Guardian, like Nightfall. Hansi not only do slow parts, he has a power voice, like you listened in Mirror Mirror. But if you react to Nightfall, I'm pretty sure your son will LOVE IT. *Jorn Lande is a beast of a singer. In Avantasia, you sould listen more songs of him, like Promise Land, it's brutal. *And last, if you prefer another EPIC song from Avantasia, listen to The Seven Angels or even Let the Storm Descent Upon You, probably their 2 best songs (not counting The Raven Child) You won't go wrong reacting to any Blind Guardian or any Avantasia song, honestly. You will chill and smile for sure.
I found your channel, looking for videos of that new Avantasia Masterpiece, and I immediately subscribed your channel. In another video, you were talking about german subscribers... well, here is one :-D I am a 54 years old wheelchair driver, and this year, for the first time, I got a chance to see Avantasia live in Berlin.. I am so excited about that!
@Ludvig Nilsson he is amazing in every song hahaha... on masterplan, avantasia, ark and projects like dracula, allen lande, free fall, trillium... yeah... i'm a jorn fan hahaha...
That theater part wasnt too far off. Each vocalist does play a character in these albums. They're concept albums and they tell a story. Listen to their album "The Mystery of Time" It tells the story of an agnostic scientist in Victorian London, and the sequel album "Ghsotlights". Jorn Lande. ALWAYS plays the Devil or some other form of Satan Or Lucifer.
It's great seeing you guys reacting to more Avantasia! I love seeing people enjoy the new song. :) I've probably listened to it at least 30 times already. Avantasia is my favorite band, and I pay very close attention to what's going on with them, so I'll try to address a lot of things you mentioned in this video. I believe Adrienne Cowan is going to be doing the whole tour, not just in North America. The woman who usually tours with Avantasia, Amanda Somerville, can't do it this time for whatever reason, so the band had to find somebody else. It's more than just backing vocals she would have to do, but leads on any of the songs that feature a female singer, such as "Farewell" that gets played every concert. Quite an important role! If you want to see an Avantasia concert, don't count on Toronto at this point. It may sound weird that they'd only do one Canadian city, but Avantasia has some touring limitations. They are a supergroup, and it's incredibly difficult to arrange a tour during a time that enough members are free from their own bands, plus the expense of flying a huge crew around the world. Avantasia does their best to make it to as many places as they can within a three month period, but I believe the five US/Canadian dates are the only ones we're getting this tour. If I were you, I'd be deciding between Montreal and Chicago. For me, I'm going to head to Worcester despite it being 8 hours away. If you make the trip to go, it will be worth it I promise! Haha, if you think it's great this song has three vocalists, you're in for a treat if you listen to more Avantasia. Some songs have four, five, or even more vocalists! Try "Let The Storm Descend Upon You", "Stargazers", or "The Seven Angels" for loads and loads of singers. Jorn is seriously awesome. I think he's my favorite Avantasia guest singer. He's been part of a lot of bands over the years, plus his solo work. Two great songs he's sung are "Crying" - Beyond Twilight and "Missing You" - ARK. "Picking the right singer for the right part of the song" - yes, that's part of Tobias Sammet's musical genius at work. There's a lot of interviews where the interviewer asks him how he chooses his guest singers, and he says his intuition leads him to the perfect voice. He also records (almost) all the demos himself while singing like the person he wants to have sing the part so whoever it is knows exactly how they're supposed to sing it. Guitar work - that would be Sascha Paeth! Tobi's "partner in crime". He does the mixing and production too. "The vocalists are like actors playing a role" - you got it! Avantasia is a rock/metal opera project/band. All the albums form stories and the singers are characters. The stories stretch between two or three albums each, and Moonglow will start a new story. It's part of the mystery and intrigue of this song because it's taken from the middle of the story and we have no context for it yet. But Tobias Sammet is always the protagonist and the other singers/characters interact with him. Just wait until you have the whole album to listen to. :) Listening to a whole Avantasia album can really put you in a dreaming state. It's a trip. Uh, I guess if you have any other questions regarding Avantasia, ask away. I'll probably be able to answer. PS the whole "young-drizzle" thing made me laugh really hard :)
Your reaction with the little laugh just as they go into the final fast part mirrored my own. The song is just plain over-the-top epic, and I love every minute of it. It's been on my favorites playlist ever since I watched it on your channel.
If you guys like Avantasia, you should check out Ayreon. It's similar in that Arjen Anthony Lucassen brings in a bunch of guest vocalists for his albums. The song "The Day the World Breaks Down" features 11 different singers! (from Blind Guardian, Kamelot, Epica to name a few.) There is a music video made with behind the scenes clips.
Good song. The vocalists in this one was Hansi Kürschi (Blind Guardian), Tobias Sammet (Edguy) and Jorn Lande (ex-Masterplan). Other songs from Avantasia: Ghostlights, The Toy Master and The Final Sacrifice. Cheers!
@@APREACTS I figured as much. In response to Antonio's comment about loving him some power metal, do the kid a favor and finally react to Battle in the Sky by Bloodbound. That song is the very definition of power metal.
The song is freaking awesome. I hope they take Hansi Kürsch on the tour. The best thing with the song is, it's pretty much the time I need for my way to my workplace, and the song is on spotify :D
So glad uou guys did this... This song is just fuckin EPIC!!!... Its like 3 songs in one, i love it!!!... Hnasi sounds amazing Tobi sounds incredible as always too as does Jorne.... Jorne did a few albums with the singer from Symphony X you guys might like, project is called Allen Lande and its great stuff...3 albums i think... Byt yeah this song is just amazing, i was speechlessa after i heard it, i couldnt believe how epics and good that was....
Besides this and Scarecrow, another over-10-minutes masterpiece by Avantasia with Jorn would be 'Let the Storm Descend Upon You', in case you'd like to peruse this suggestion :3
At first I thought the title said Atavisitia but I'm glad I clicked the video. Really like the song! Check out Seas of Stars by Atavisitia, you won't regret it. They sound a lot like Wintersun. You can listen to them and pretend you have new Wintersun songs, who doesn't want that?
One of the singers/vocalists is Jorn Lande, he also has been in many other bands, as well as having his solo band. Here is a treat for you guys that you need to react to when it comes to Jorn Lande. He teamed up with Jorn Viggo Lofstad (Tony Hawk) on 3 of his solo albums, (The Duke, The Gathering, and Out to every nation) From the album :The Gathering, there is a song called "Abyss of evil", where Jorn Lande sings, and Jorn Viggo Lofstad (Tony Hawk) plays the guitar. I would like for you two to react to this song, ABYSS OF EVIL. See link below. ua-cam.com/video/gYkL7Oj4TVU/v-deo.html

the cinematic/theater comment is pretty on point, avantasia albums almost all tell a story and the singers actually sing character parts, it's literally a rock opera
Not a rock opera, but a metal opera
Metal Opera 2
That's EXACTLY what's gotten me hooked on Avantasia.
Lol
Whoa that's really cool your mother in law used to babysit little Jorn!
Imagining Jorn as a kid is hilarious.
Adorable! I'm mostly English and Irish but recently found out I'm part Norwegian. Funny to think that we might be distant (very, very, very distant) cousins haha
Haha what a cool little story :)
And kid Jorn be like: "Wheeere is myyyyyy caaaAAAAaaaAAndyyyYYyy???! OhhhOOooHHooo ooHhhoh YYyyyeeaaaaAAAhhh!!!!...." (and points his finger and you slowly creeping closer and closer)
The singers are Tobias Sammeth the mastermind of Avantasia and singer of EdGuy, Hansi Kursch Blind Guardian and Jorn Lande ex-Masterplan.
Yay, I managed to recognize them by ear 👌
Jorn Lande also from Ark - Burn The Sun, one of the best prog metal albums of all time!
Jorn freaking Lande 😍😍😍😍
Jorn Lande is a BEAST
Why does no one praise Tobias Sammet's vocals?
Love the reaction at 12:58 when the song reaches its final climax (one of many).
Alle drei Sänger sind überragend. Musikalische ist es fantastisch. In einer Minute ist mehr Rhythmus, Melodie und können als in allen Liedern in den Charts Top 100!
The Piper Never Dies + The Scarecrow = The Raven Child
HAHAHHHAHA true
Tobias Sammet is the best songwriter ever! God damn i love Avantasia!!! Can´t wait til the album releases!!
Einfach nur geil 👌👍
Tobias done did it again
This song and this whole video is a masterpiece! I got goosebumps by this! The song is getting better and better each time you listen to it! 🤘🤘

I may add that one to the mix for sure, another excelent song too! They did a react to it time ago though.

Thanks guys! Sending kisses and jizzes! :D This song is SO good.

There´s a kind of nice stuff to see the faces expressions of a person who enjoys that much a metal song like you do, empathy i would call it.

I loved this song too at first hear ❤
Hansi is spectacular, and Jorn is my favourite ❤
Try also old Avantasia stuff from Metal Opera 1 and 2.
YES! But they should do a album review on these two, you can't really pick a song out of them, they're a class of it's own, in my opinion. :)

This was by far the best reaction I've seen. I love this song.
U sold me on the Bobby Roode reference
