I had this experience on the piccadilly line where I was waiting at South Kensington for an Uxbridge train. The dot matrix sign on the front of the train said 'Uxbridge' so obviously I boarded the train ready to arrive at my destination. It had taken me a while to realise that the station I had arrived at was South Ealing. This really confused me as I was sure the dot matrix said Uxbridge.
This happened to me on the *DUBAI METRO* and the screens said it was going the wrong way but it updated every station. But it showed the correct station.

Had this happen years ago going north, and the announcements said it was going Morden. I bailed at Mornington Crescent
This is wild hahaha nice spot
I did the tube challenge the other day and a similar thing happened coming down from Mill Hill East towards Battersea Power Station
oh very cool! how did the challenge go?

Must of been a weird glitch or something, they happen not thay often but more for buses when they have the wrong destination on the board
Must've been, just found it very odd cos it's never happened to me in all my years of being a Londoner
Maybe the train reversed and used a crossover, but I don't know of any crossovers at Tottenham Court Road
First Ben!
