C&C doesn't take place in 1995. GDI is founded in 1995, along with the meteorit crash which caused tiberium on Earth. C&C takes place between 1995 and 2030, probably around 2000.

In Kanes Wrath Kane explains that he wants the Scrin on earth for their portals, to spread his influence beyond earth. He does not seem to like the Scrin, making it unlikely he is Scrin himself, or some other kind of alien.
Can someone explain the part of the ending with Cabal/Kane saying "our directives must be re-assessed" I understand the first part and I understand that why those people are in tubes because Cabal is essentially a collective of human brains plugged into a mainframe.
because kane took the place of cabal, cabal had his own ideas and if you played CnC tiberium sun/firestorm then you know that cabal starts to try and take over and that his master 'directive' is to take over the world, when kane took the place of cabal, he is going to recreate cabals original directives but he is going to shape them in his eyes to be sure that Nod takes complete control
CABAL and Kane are on the same side. Kane was never on Nod's, GDI's, or any human beings side, he was merely using them to figure out the fastest way to leave the planet. When Kane "died" in TS, his body was put in stasis by CABAL to regenerate while CABAL continued Kane's REAL plan, which is to spread Tiberium enough to attract the Scrin then use their technology to leave the planet. Kane isn't Scrin, we don't know what he is but he is from another Alien race and he was trapped on Earth after his ship crash landed. He used politics and religion to manipulate mankind for his own ends and when Tiberium happened Kane with CABAL's help learned of the Scrin and their plans (The Tacitus). Basically the entire series story is about an Evil ET that just wanted to go home, he manipulated Nod, GDI, and then Scrin just to leave. Divination, ascension, salvation, all bullshit metaphors that Kane used because he knew that religion works well on humans. CABAL never betrayed Kane, only Nod and this ending reflects this. "Our directives must be reassessed" basically means that Kane/CABAL didn't count on humans to band together like this and they need to figure out another way to bring about a Tiberium world/attract the Scrin (in C&C3 we learned that it was the detonation of the liquid tiberium). Also, LEGION is based on CABAL and CABAL is based on Kane. Both CABAL and LEGION (which are actually the same AI) are extensions of Kane's will and an artificial/digital mirror manifestation of Kane's consciousness.
AutoEroto that makes sence like when overlord wanted more information he maybe knowed kane as an enemy to his race but he needed more information to prove that thats same alien
its stated in kanes wrath in kanes "diary" that its an regeneration tank of some kind only mystery left is that hes way over 100 years old(as seen in the soviet end of red alert) and how he made out of the GDI ion cannon with nothing but a burned face
EA has stated that Cabal will return in Kanes Wrath. There will be multiple campaigns for each faction that take place before tiberium wars and after firestorm, and after tiberium wars.
They are making an expansion for C&C 3 ("Kane's Wrath") which seems to occur between Tiberian Sun and Tiberium Wars. Maybe this mess can be cleared out (at least a bit).
I read an article not long ago; that they originally were going to try to meld the two story lines together, but figured it would only end disasterously so there is no plan to EVER bring the RA "universe" and the Tiberian Universe together, hence the new Red Alert is titled Red Alert III, not Command & Conquer: Red Alert III
And Kane also call LEGION "my child" and in the ending of kanes wrath he say something like "You are my greatest creation" and it is because he create CABAL and also LEGION
It may have been done by the Scrin for harvesting purposes. Foreman 371's Mothership AI mentions an Ichor LQ detination on a "previously seeded planet."
The reason of when the TW1 taken place is the game C&C is come into store in 1995,lol. And there is a time bug in C&C3 cutscene that the TW2(Tiberian Sun) take place in 2030, not 2028
@123ocelot i think Kane might just be a series of clones created by Cabal the ending kind of hints at it... but who knows.... would explain why he never ages and can't be killed
@Muhammed552 Ahm,Is it my imagination or Next to "kane" in the credits for CnC3,Kanes Wrath,And CnC4 it sez:Joe Kucan or however his last name is spelled
Whoever said that there is no time travel in the Tiberium universe must have missed something. At the TS ending (think the Nod one), Kane undergoes the exact same effect as Einstein and Hitler in RA1; he's gonna travel through time.
Yes, Red Alert, Tiberium and Generals are 3 Diferent Dimensions or something, they do not interact. In the C&C Renegade(yes.. i played it till the end), you find some alien mothership in the last levels. could be the alien tecnology you guys are talking about.
actually this was supposed to be Kane programing Legion who is the commander from Kanes Wrath. The Marked of Kane where planed by Westwood and later carried out by EA.
@PhotoGjoel I agree with the points on the ion cannon and stealth, But GDI also has several technological triumphs. For example, Nod does not have GDI's Ion tech (which is why Kane manipulated GDI to fire one on Temple Prime and not build it himself). GDI also has Sonic Technology, which Nod does not. Additionally, in regards to Cabal, at least the GDI EVA did not try to take over the world and assassinate leaders on his own side. Indeed, it could be argued that making a dumb AI is smarter...
Kane has been knowing of the scrin coming for many years, since tiberiums first arrival. His ultimate goal was that by the time the scrin got here, GDI would be destroyed, so what was left of humanity was ruled by him, and he would ally with the scrin.
The ending is saying that Kane actually does die each time but Kabal just manufactures a new clone each time to stand in for the dead one making him seem immortal
Those tubes are the CABAL. CABAL himself is a culmination of all those minds in the tubes, including kane himself. A major cliff hanger and a massive plot twist that's completely ignored and tossed aside by EA.
They're not clones. If you look up what the CABAL acronym stands for in TS, you'll see it's "Computer Assisted Biologically Augmented Lifeform". Note the "Biologically Augmented" and "Lifeform" - CABAL is NOT an A.I. He is, in fact, also a cyborg. A brain cyborg. The people in the pods are simply his organic components; human brains used as processing power. Kane was simply 'added to the grid'.
Technically incorrect, CABAL is an AI however the AI isn't based on its own data matrix but of those his "brain" are connected to hence the rumor of why CABAL goes rogue is because Kane "dies".
I like to think this video as the real ending of C&C... and everything after it isn’t canon. Kane and Cabal were secret collaborators, using Nod to do their bidding. I always thought that Kane had obtained the Chronosphere from RA1 somehow and that’s how he barely ages. I wouldn’t be surprised if those bodies for Cabal were reputable and famous leaders in world history that Kane had obtained through time with the Chronosphere... would have been cool to have seen Stalin there as a reference to RA1, and then people like Napoleon, Gaddafi, Caesar etc... then once Kane was added to the hive mind, he overrid them all.
the reason that Kane keeps come back is because he is immortal. Considering the pictures and pessages in Renegade and Red Alert and also the name of 'Nod', it is quite possible that he is Cain who was the first murderer on earth in Bible.
Slavik appears on C&C3, just that never mentions his name, so we can't consider it official yet. Notice Kane's advisor (I think he appears 2 times, one talking about the detonator and the other one breifing you with Kane about capturing the tower). I think he is Slavik: There is no proof of Slavik being dead. This man matches him perfectly, being VERY important on Nod's ranks, Kane trusted him with his plans (probably belongs to the Unicircle) and his appearance is similar to Anton, only older.
The Nod campaign in Tiberium Wars was slightly better than GDI campaign, I'll admit that. But its like the same team that designed the story for TW and Kane's Wrath wasn't even involved in Tiberium Twilight. Though I've never played C&C4 (was on deployment), I saw that most people were really put off by the rushed/cheesy story and terrible imbalance in multiplayer. One day I'll give it a shot... till then, I just hope they reboot the whole Tiberium Series...
in tiberium wars 3 there is a intel that GDI says those humanoid things in Cabel's last bunker were not there so GDI lies in the third one i think... because ive play every C & C game
That's also a/the link to Kane being in RA1. Imo, he's there because of time travel, and not because he's immortal and doesn't age. Those that have played C&C1 would know what Kane says while you're installing the game: He who controls the present, commands the past. He who commands the past, conquers the future, or something along that line. So Kane travelled back in time, to command the past, enabling him to conquer the future. -.-
Actually he has a point - there is a point in the GDI campaign where Kane launches a bunch of smaller tiberium missiles - James Earl Jones says something like "no one has ever seen anything like it, it's armageddon"...so it's feasible that Kane was the cause of the red zones.
@MrWhitey998 I played C&C3 and I quite like it,I like scrins and their invasion and stuff like defending temple prime, but I still prefer old C&Cs They made Nod soldiers more terrorist-like(exploding fanatics) and Kane changed too. In C&C1 and TS he wanted to experiment with Tiberium, make it grow worldwide, change and evolve human species to higher level and rule it all, in TS he wanted to get data from Tacitus and use it to change the surface of this planet. His vision is C&C3 is not Tiberium.
actually, the ship is found at the end of the first war. YOu have to pay atention to the cutscenes. During nod mission of recovering the old temple (after defeating Hassan), Kane says there is something buried there that GDI must not find. Once you capture the temple, Kane tells you there was a ship but when you arrive, the ship is gone and you have to find it in North America.
That's the strongest sing which would note that Cabal and Kane did actually fused minds with each other. "Us." whole new entity...or not. I've got some sources that implied CABAL being actually alinged with thought parameters of Kane himself. So Basically Kane assimilated one part of himself...I guess. It's all really confusing. Westwood seemed to make plans for C&C3, yet didn't envision any continuety further for Kane.
we have a GDI fanatic here! Kane is the Messiah in cnc so he always had a plan, from 1995 to 2075 and more than that. i believe the cyborgs produced by nod's dead troop corpses are quite effective, dont u think? if gdi is on the brinks of extinction and kane goes there and tells them he wants to work together to save humanity. gdi is lured in kane's trap. the final war will end all wars. kane had already won from the time he waged war against gdi.
I think so too...we're not sure who Kane really is despite his appearance in all the Tiberium games. Probably just like you said he aquired some Scrin technology in the past...and that may explain why NOD always seems to be slightly more advanced with regards technology than GDI
@MrWhitey998 He wanted to get to the scrin and he was willing to sacrifice own brothers to reach his goal. In C&C1 he clearly wanted to help any NOD-suporting village and protect it from harm when waging the war. His plans changed quite lot in last series, but still good job. I miss Westwood a lot though :/

My comment mentioning Slavik could still be alive was before Kane's Wrath was even released.
@SamhainTheDark Yea what was that all about??? I did not get this ending...
Where did those badass Nod Troops go in Tiberium Wars? :(
in tiberium wars 3 there is a intel that GDI says those humanoid things in Cabel's last bunker were not there so GDI lies in the third one i think... because ive play every C & C game
That's also a/the link to Kane being in RA1.
Imo, he's there because of time travel, and not because he's immortal and doesn't age.
Those that have played C&C1 would know what Kane says while you're installing the game:
He who controls the present, commands the past. He who commands the past, conquers the future, or something along that line.
So Kane travelled back in time, to command the past, enabling him to conquer the future.
-.-
0:31 Just look at that cheerful crowd!

Actually he has a point - there is a point in the GDI campaign where Kane launches a bunch of smaller tiberium missiles - James Earl Jones says something like "no one has ever seen anything like it, it's armageddon"...so it's feasible that Kane was the cause of the red zones.
i don't get the whole CABBAL thing, like i thought that he was/is part of kane's mind
@TreyNinetyNine The power of Tiberium can not be denied. Bathe in it's glory and be reborn as one of the enlightened servants of Kane himself.
You find out in the Kane's Wrath expansion for Tiberium Wars.
@SamhainTheDark "Your...My...Our...OUR directives must be re-assessed."
actually, the ship is found at the end of the first war. YOu have to pay atention to the cutscenes. During nod mission of recovering the old temple (after defeating Hassan), Kane says there is something buried there that GDI must not find. Once you capture the temple, Kane tells you there was a ship but when you arrive, the ship is gone and you have to find it in North America.
so wait is kane cabal and cabal kane? and is kane a clone? omg i love this game just because of kane rofl.
Look up Tiberium Essence and The Forgotten, both are mods for C&C3.
"Our directives must be re-assessed"
this is where the real c&c story ends, this is cannon. Fucking epic.
Phase 2 in our path to ascension...
Microsoft Kane
DUN DUN DUN!
