I'm really impressed that a builder used this old (but not defunct) hull. The Carolina bow flare and multiple, integrated spray rails/chines are still excellent features! I love the homage to its aircraft namesake vies-a-vie the stainless exhaust ports and other design clues. Very cool indeed.
I remember the Fairey marine ply versions. As a boy I saw them filming from Russia with Love using them. I will let you into a little secret, it was not Eastern Europe but Loch Craignish in the West of Scotland. They wrecked a couple and brought them into Crinan, heartbreaking to a boat mad boy. I look forward to seeing this new boat on the water.
Super review as always 👍 Always admired the original Fairy’s, so was thrilled to see Supermarine are now producing this wonder, the ultimate day/weekender.
Very beautiful boat, its only a shame that they could not fit a second under deck sleeping space, as that would enable a family to stay on the water overnight, however saying that its a fantastic looking machine
A speed boat with a $4k coffee maker is kinda of hilarious... still, that is a rather impressive galley. Twin diesel Merc's was a suprise... I expected giant American muscle gas engines.
Loved the boat. It was a grey day, the exposure seemed a little dark. Were those pipes on the rear of the boat real or just decoration? Amazing boat. Good work.
Nice but I still prefer the lines of the original 36 it’s based on . Especially the aft cabin version it looked very special , easily a match for a Riva in its day . Sadly it went belly up as it was so expensive to build .
I just looked you can see the 007 boat chase here on UA-cam if anyone is interested in seeing some of the original Fairy Marine boats. Search From Russia With Love boat chase.
Beautiful boat. Now this is nitpicking I know, but imo they could have improved the visual design even further. There is stainless steel, black anodized metal, gunmetal anodized metal and the back of the seats looks like yet another type of finish. It would look cleaner if you stick one or two types of surface finish. Still a beautiful boat.
Two cabins too, even if the 2nd cabin is cramped it gives some options for kids, kit or if you don't want to convert the seating. Outboard options give a bit of deck storage too for toys and sucuba.
There something ever-so-slightly over-contrived about this. Those fake exhaust tips look like they've been borrowed from a 70's Riva. The 90's Supermarine offering was about right.
I have since tested the boat and the test drive and full review will be going live very soon. Watch this space!
Love the swordsman boats too. Look forward to seeing the test, rough Water I hope!! 😂
you've got your own channel too! kept that quiet.

Elliptical tips on the radar arch is all it needs

LOL I know the drill "If you have to ask about fuel consumption per hour, you can't afford it"
I like the disco lights 😃

Beautiful craft. I expected the cost to be higher

It's the same almost indestructible, uber-torquey plant found in the most powerful diesel variants of the VW Toureg. Except there's two of them, here!

The boat is nice but i just can't imagine what it's going to be if suddenly there's heavy rain while you're cruising

Would that be machined billet aluminium for the wheel?
That’s the one 😉
Lekker man lekker
Proper boat ... as opposed to the XOs, Saxos, Axos etc etc !!
I’ll take the Fairline 33. Much better layout above and below deck.
