- This is another of the crew training trains. The local paper today says the first advertised weekend of Santa Trains has been cancelled as the trains aren't going to be ready in time. See the WSR website for dates when they will run..
Seeing that greyhound tethered to the crossing gate post reminded me of an incident some thirty years ago. A small dog, on a lead, was attached to a level crossing barrier whilst the owner assisted a lady who had dropped her shopping. You guessed it. Barrier suddenly lifted,leaving dog hanging. Two people supported dog whilst owner slipped it off lead. Only afterwards did it seem amusing.
Oh Gosh. Someone was quick with a camera that day!

It is so good to have evidence that the trains will run again regularly. We have missed them!

There was another pair of crew training trains this afternoon, which I watched on the webcams.
I expect there will be more in the next few weeks.
I can't help worrying about my beloved Foxcote Manor. I know you're trying to put my mind at ease and I appreciate it very much. But I want to see her, even if it means all I get is a photo of her inside the shed. If you were allowed in there, which you're not, that is. If any harm should befall her, I don't know what I would do. Please send her all my love and a Christmas kiss from me. I really miss her.
If I hear she is going anywhere I will try and video her for you.
