The Duchess of Southerland is a very impressive engine. I also liked the young fireman on 53808. Nice to see some young folks getting the chance to be a part of the old engines!
Wonderful trip I was privileged to travel from Reading to Minehead and back as a working rep of the WSR Speeds of 75 mph were achieved Great day out Morton
Great video Mike. Good weather for it too. Those West Coast coaches look impressive all red and shiny. I see Geoff and Vicky from All the stations were around your way. Cheers

Good to see you had better weather for the 'Duchess'. And yes, my wife also has a phone glued to her hand most of the time. Can't say it's all the young ones these days. All the best, Mike. Steve
Ah the Duchess! We went behind her on the Mid Norfolk Railway a few years back, and she made light work of hauling a lengthy rake of air-conditioned ex-Greater Anglia coaches up their steep banks - most impressive.

Love this video for the human content as much as the railway. You bring the preserved railway alive.
Many thanks for the compliment. I do like to add people whenever I can!

She performs well!
Was the Duchess out of gauge for Minehead so had to change the engine?
Doing things this way allowed time for the Duchess to travel to the wsr triangle to turn and be serviced for the return run.
Bonjour et merci ! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ longue vie à vous deux 🐬🐬
We all love trains!
