Hello friend, my respects to the knowledge you have about the good avid, it has always caught my attention to learn it or even work on it... because,. being called is the standard and is the tool of professional film editors, but so far at the age of 16 I am mastering programs like premiere pro and davinci resolve, cheers!
Hey Hans this a great video, I currently work on a show where we have to grade using Avid’s Symphony. I recently created a show LUT to transform from log to 709 so I can grade “underneath” and I get great results in Avid but if I do a mixdown of the timeline it creates really bad pixelation and colour artifacts. The only way I am able to get a clean export is using the MOV container with same as source. I was wondering if this is a regular issue or am I doing something wrong?
Hey Hans I'm stuck on a problem ... I have 5 mins in my sequence that I want to keep but there is a blank space of 55 mins ... every time I export my video, the duration is one hour long and I only want the first 5 mins...How do i get rid of that extra unwanted 55mins of time... I have spent 10 hours of research trying to find the answer !!!
Hi, quick ideas without being able to trouble shoot would be either: 1. set your in and out points and only export that area (there is a check box to use marks in the export window) or 2. only cut the 5 min you want to export into a new sequence.

quick transition only added tail of the first clip not middle of two clip why?
some time quick tansition showing just 1 frame?
unfortunately when you load an external lut it is not recognized in the list of luts to be loaded by the color lut plugin.
