SwitchUp - Must admit I never played Spyro. Super Adventure Island was another of my favourites. It had an epic soundtrack, especially the water levels
@@SwitchUpYt ah glen I'm sure they will mate, the only other UA-cam channel I watch is avgn but since cfw my switch I'm addicted to the console like i tell mark, so I'm constantly on your channel looking for games, I'm caught up in your most recent vids, but yeah I want more platformers, so if just got jotun, And now iv got shu and that panchetu or whatever it's called
@@SwitchUpYt yeah I'll download it after iv smashed this viking game, I do wonder why Zelda can look so great at 720p but most switch games look like 480p it's terrible, even now in docked mode I think the 1080p looks horrendous on most games. I have to say I do love the way valhalla pans out the camera to give you an overlay of the map very similar to the way hob shows off the points of interests. And as for that game you just mentioned the combat reminds me of steamworld quests another great game
Shu was an interesting game, that has a lot of room for improvement of course, but so far it's a simple game and an average one for the switch eshop's general standards (as you may have discovered through these guys and their reviews). The music was what hurt me the most, since, like many other elements, it reminded me more of BOTW, journey and shadow of the colossus, in a very small and underdeveloped scale,. You see, I like that approach, but it doesn't suit the gamestyle which they decided on most of the time (still love the one they use while running away from the beast), in BOTW and Journey you can feast on the incredible artistic environment that surrounds your character, Shu though, doesn't have it and even if it had it, you wouldn't be able to appreciate it, being a 2d platformer with only a single screen and very few memorable scenaries to look forward to (that isn't to say the graphics and style aren't refreshing and nice to look at, specially if your a rayman fan like me, nice one Glenn).
Hi. Thank you for such an in depth and detailed comment. I agree with much of what you said. As I mentioned in the review, for me the one truly outstanding indie 2D platformer so far is definitely Pankapu. Shu is a decent game and offers fair value for the price and I definitely think it's a blue print for a much better sequel or spiritual successor by the developers. Thanks for watching. I look forward to hopefully reading further comments from you. Glen

It’s the run bits it’s so annoying so I ended up not completing it hate rushing that’s the only downside for me
My favourite platformer has to banjo kazooie hands down ,on the n64.
FelixLuna - That really was a golden era for Rare. They made some cracking games
+FelixLuna bloody amazing game!
That play time is probably a bit too short for me
Yes, a couple of hours doesn’t really cut it I’m afraid. Glen
SwitchUp if it's in a sale I'll nab it, thanks Glen :)
