I find myself returning to this again and again. It does something to my brain, and I'm not sure what it is exactly, but I swear that I can feel it firing on all cylinders.
This is very good, Marcus--more successful than a lot of pedal harpsichords, which almost always have balance problems. I'd love to hear it in a really good acoustic, I'm sure it would sound just magnificent!--and always under the fingers and feet of Ms. Szedmák, who really plays very well.
This is the second harpsichord/pedal regal I have seen and heard on youtube. This regal has a bit smoother tone than the other. Both sound good with harpsichord.
A blower. But it can be fitted with a feeder. No historical reference. And although I always think, that there is hardly anything that has not been done in classical organ-building, with this particular layout, I rather doubt it....
As if it's not hard enough to operate two hands driven by the brain, throw in two feet that have to make their mark at the right ti me1:02 and place coordinating with the score. My best talent is curling my tongue to make a whistling sound!
Acoustically, it was a very interesting experience. The sound of the instrument, combining a harpsichord and a regal, was great. So many possibilities.
Very interesting. awesome. I do feel that the sound just doesnt match the harpsichord though. Ofcourse it is a modern contraption and not historically accurate. But I would LOVE to see this together with a regal instead of harpsichord. And perhaps even with an added 32' 😂

What a great instrument and player!

Wow, regal 16 and 8? What an absolute luxury!
C'est vraiment sublime. Merci encore. Olivier
I love hearing the pedal reeds!!

Wow, very well played. Thank you.
Vielen Dank.
Two videos so far; two instruments I've never seen before. You channel is going in my baroque music collection! 🙂
Amazing!! Both the pedalregal and the performance. Congratulations!!

It's wonderful...Great job!!! I bet, Johann Sebastian himself would be proud of this. 💖👋👋👋
Un interpretazione superba con uno strumento fantastico. Congratulazioni Maestra.
Wonderful!

Remarquable ! Bravo. Cordialement Olivier
Respect to the tuner❤
Wundervoll ! Danke an die Meisterin -
Csodálatos lett! Le vagyok nyűgözve!
Very nice playing!
BRAVO, BRAVISSIMO!!!! 👏
Impressive!
❤ Che grazia ❤
Sounds great!
Ein sehr gelungenes Instrument!
This would be interesting to hear in a bigger room with complex surfaces (hexagon or more).
Ganz fantastisch!
Most interesting!!
mindblown
Amazing!
Great sound!
Bravo ! Quel culot ! J’adore !
The trio sonatas should be played on this.
Yes, and great footwork too! 😎
Nagy élmény! Gratulálok szeretettel!
Wonderful, but how and where is the wind for the organ supplied?
He answered that question elsewhere: a blower
Bello!
Absolutely fantastic!
Klasse! 👏
Very nice! Are there photos of the pedalregal construction somewhere?
On my Homepage, yes.
Wonderful. two questions, if I may: who/what supplies the air? is there a historical reference for sth like this?

WHAT A COOL SOUND!!! This is first time I’ve ever heard of a pedal regal. What is the source for this, or is it the invention of someone contemporary?
Why are there two keyboards if theyre both playing the same thing? Can you unlink them to get different tones on each of them?
They have slightly different timbres, and yes, they can be coupled/uncoupled as on an organ.
Wie heißt hier das Lingualregister im Pedal?
Zwei Regale in 16 und 8fuß-Lage. Nennen Sie es, wie Sie wollen.

That's a pedal harpsichord not a pedal regal.
The pedal is a regal
Acoustically, it was a very stressful experience. The problem was not with the performance, but with the shrill and laughable sound of the instrument.
