Thanks for this tutorial. I’ll have to watch it several times because I’m new at being our church pianist. I’ve comes quite a ways in the past 7 months. But I’ve wanted to do this while my new pastor (my wife)l 😀 brings the Word. I asked her what she thought about it and she has also given it thought. We shall see! It actually a new experience for both of us because we taught children & teens for the past 29 years.
Preacher chord routes ascending , descending circles, routes, reharm, minor and major approach, chromatic approaches, busy movements....I hear so much in preaching chords these days

I been asking this question for the longest. Please can someone on here settle this for me. I never liked music playing backing up preaching because it’s a show to me. The Word is right all by itself. It don’t need any backup. Jesus and the preachers in the Bible never had backup. So, to me this is not of God. This is entertainment to the flesh. I know I will get blasted on here but just want to know the truth.
It's a personal preference of yours but that doesn't make it "not of God". However, it is apart of the traditional African American church. Historically, black Baptist & Pentecostal preachers were melodic, as a matter of fact the MUSIC OF THE BLACK CHURCH is what influenced the whole world. Black music & black preaching go hand & hand with each other. The black preaching style is what distinguished them from other races of preachers. So many black preachers have influenced the world. C.L. Franklin, Jesse Jackson, & so many others have come from that style of preaching. Remember, Martin Luther King Jr was a black preacher, who also came from that style of preaching in the Baptist church. Now other races mimic & imitate that black style of preaching. Is it entertaining? Yes, black people by nature are entertaining & do things differently than other races, but it's also soul stirring & soul saving when presented right. So it may not be your cup of tea, but it is definitely a gift that God gave the black church & with that gift the black church has LITERALLY influenced the world. Ain't no wrong with some music backing up the preacher.
Need a Biblical Reference…Read 2 Kings 3. Elijah needed a minstrel (instrumentalists) to help him prophesy provision in the land basically. But read it for yourself.
Fair play for risking the blasting 😅, all this entertainment and so called black church is still lost. At the end of the day there is nothing to settle, you do what is called for. Its so self absorbed we can't even see it. Entertainment performed by some of the most flawed ppl. But yet is a representation of the spirit of god 🤔. The "black church" indulges in idol worship. 🤷🏿♂️
@@Jerontaeofficial it's NOT about not attending a black, I'm just saying it's a religion thing assisting a preacher /some to lies on pulpit being encouraged by a keyboard. Were in the Bible says thau shall play keyboards to assists a preacher?
