- Good afternoon @everyone and today we're going to talk about the Sarcophagus! Yes, the Klingon Burial ship I've been pretty adamant about disliking in Star Trek Fleet Command. This new series start to cover whether the Sarco has value to the game now in 2024 and beyond or whether it's completely outdated content.

I originally built only because I am a ship collector and similar to the 3 hijacked ships which I also collected they have no real game purpose. I have used it in spend events (Ship mats, ship xp) and ironically because of that it is now maxed at T12. Even maxed its pretty much useless in a territory battle. But I like as a museum piece.
There is still an area where it has value. When you're just getting into Solo Armadas, and having trouble winning, putting a Sarc in with Picard-Bev-Eurydice as crew makes for a great "meat shield" as your third ship. It has such a huge hull, it can take tons of damage and help everyone stay alive to kill the Solomada.
This. Until you get a G4 faction ship or the monaveen. (I think I even only used it before I had my Defiant)

If you choose the right team, Sarcophagus can single-handedly defeat solo armadas. For example, my Sarcophagus, with a power of 23 million, can easily destroy a Jem'Hadar ship of level 53 (epic)

So from what i have gathered. The Sarcogaphus has been and always will be a ship not worth having unless you want fro collection purposes or are bored. Thanks for the info and all the videos you put up.
If I may, your Rev'ness, suggest a video topic. Explaining and showing new and especially some veteran players, that it is ok to "take the express back to base". So many players I've seen that are too scared to try simply cuz they will "blow up"
One of my favorite bug. Build a sarc, fight with it, oh yeah you aren’t the right level and you can’t repair it. Took em weeks to fix it.
I found it very useful back in the day since it allowed the 30s to have somthing to defend against 40s. But that was like 2 years ago. I still see it perform decently enough on capture nodes when crewed with harrison and fat mudd, but no punching up anymore not even close

Outdated content is very nice idea ! Hope you will continue the serie, after 5 years of game new contents it will be very useful for new players and even slowmo players like me ! Btw i never build the Sarco as it was clearly a one trick poney since the beginning and when you are part of a big alliance with some whales inside , you only need to come with realta and corvettes to flow the system and let the big guns do the cleaning job 😂

I want this ship purely because of Stargate reasons.... ... .... But still haven't gotten around to it. Perhaps one day as a collectors item. Love this idea of the Outdated Content Series!
Scopely should make an Orion ship the new territory capture ship.
If I recall correctly, the territory service for the Sarco is free (according to our Territory Commodore), so no waste of resources by activating it, enabling you to constantly source upgrade materials
Still park it for memorial services
My opinion on the rubber chicken is it gets flicked off boogers. There is a trick where you attack one with a small ship first and attack it again with your finger before it's sets on the node nullified it's ability and send that overprice pos to the wall of shame
When the Voyager arc came out the Sarcophagus was useful against DQ hostiles while running a certain crew. Once I got my Voyager I never used Sarco again.
Sarco (the Chicken as we call it in our alliance SWAT in 54) is dead since G4 ships came out. For a server that only has G3 ships economy, may be (and I say may be) kind of useful IF maxed. That cost money that is better in other places in the game.
About the Beta Sector research, that may revive if Scopely decide to add that research impact ships that get Assimilate (MU Data or Dezoc) in PVP. That I think may be valuable
They should add the sarcofagus bps to the territory tab, instead od the weekly event..
Kinda miss the days when it had a little time of relevance. I remember i crewed mine specifically to counter other sarcos and to blow them off their nodes. Kuron as Cap did an amazing job back then
It's a really great spot to dump all your extra ship parts and g4 uncommon materials!
It's a nice distraction ship in Tc, but it's definitely not for fighting, just as useful as a realta

Yeah, once Ent E Picard came out, Jaylah’s final, niche uses were completely surpassed
curious how mirror picard and mirror data will effect the sarc... seems like it would really have a huge impact. last year when freeman came out, sarc was able to get a little bit of a boost, but with apex barrier and the sarc having such a large hull pool, i think that it may have a big impact, especially with MU Picard having a multiplicative iso damage boost, i think that the firing pattern will take a lot of benefit from that also, especially if it makes it to round 3 due to that apex barrier...
as a 56 i still use it on lower armadas . hide a base your raiding works well with it also xd
I heard you talking about the Devs aiming for like 20 min. a day for each "activity" in the game... but I readily use like 1,5 hrs a day on killing Borg Probes... that need to be looked at...
When someone asks the alliance to send "big ships" to their armada, I send them a Sarc. It's a big ship. LOL
My alliance on S70 our rule in territory defense/takeovers is the G5 & G6 players occupy the capture nodes. I have a sarco but I am ops 37 so I basically never use it.
Earlier this year I used mine at a TC during Incursions. With Carol, HG Worf, Lorca I was able to get points and blew up a couple of upper 50's from the other server who were looking for easy points...But after I got a cloak for my Amalgam I haven't used it at all as I can just sit and get points for the entire defense with one ship even with whales hunting during Incursions.
i only have it to go w my klingon set....FOR THE EMPIRE.mines been under a tarp in the garage for over a year lmao

Now that you have said "skip it" Scopely is going find a way to force us to have to get it and update it to a certain point. Kind of like what they did with the Borg Cube. Thanks Rev... LOL!!!
I really hate these road blocks they are putting in the game and in our way. As you have stated if they would update a great deal of things people would want them again.
P.S. Why would you create content that instantly becomes obsolete right after you create/launch it?

What about using the tal crew since it has absurd hull health for a 3* battleship
I have the Sacco but not put anything into it. I’ve also skipped the 4* epics for now. I just blitzed from 49 to almost 53. Will be ops 53 in 2-3 weeks. I could take the next 2-3 months to get a tribune or I can have a Corvus in 2 weeks. I realize the maintenance is cheaper on 4* epic but those 650 bps just don’t seem worth it.
The sarco was DOA in my opinion. Any G4 ship can kill it even a maxed sarco. I maxed mine just because I didn't build a G4 battleship and had parts to use in spend events. If they ever come out with a Sarco-A I'll be ready.
An updated version would be useful if your server does much in territory capture (mine doesn’t) it was good until players got g4 so a long time ago
Until I got the Sarcophagus, all my territory battles were one and done with everyone of my ships. The Sarcophagus on a node has given me the staying power to last 2 or 3 battles. An improvement I would like to see made to the Sarcophagus would be adding a fast repair using Latinum while a territory capture event is taking place. Once the capture is over, the repair of the ship can go back to the timed repair.
Oh... The Sarcophagus is NOT a useless ship. You just need to use it in a completely different way than the developers intended. I wrote about one of the use cases below, if you need it, you can translate it🤷♂️

Да, в этом видео говорится верно - корабль бесполезен во время захвата территорий, но есть множество других областей, где с помощью данного корабля можно манипулировать игровой механикой. Первое, что нужно знать - бой длится не более 100 раундов. Если ни один из кораблей за это время не уничтожен - победа достаётся тому, у кого осталось больше корпуса. Попробуйте назначить на Саркофаг - Лесли капитаном, а офицерами Моро и Пайка. Попробуйте атаковать с этим экипажем какого-нибудь моба. Если всё сделано верно, то результат будет такой: Ваш корабль уничтожен; вы победили; моб не уничтожен; вы получили награду.
Ваш корабль умирает потому, что Лесли ремонтирует корпус корабля во время боя, но по его окончании всё, что он отремонтировал - вычитается.
Противник не умирает потому, что Саркофаг не способен нанести достаточно урона, чтобы его уничтожить.
Победа достаётся вам потому, что по окончании боя у Саркофага осталось больше корпуса, чем у моба.
Где это можно применить?
До появления Вояджера это использовалось чтобы собирать сообщения с фракционных разведчиков. Попробуйте переместить базу туда, где спавнятся разведчики, а затем атаковать его на Саркофаге. Для Саркофага ~15 млн мощи - подойдёт система 49 уровня. Если ваш корабль сильнее, то уже нужно искать 50+ системы.
Но это только один из способов применения данного корабля. Пробуйте, экспериментируйте, найдите остальные)

I have 2 of them. Slowly upgrading them was hopefull that when maxed it would be worth something. Now hear this, how sad. They should come up with sarc-a and give it teeth

Only thing I use that ship for is Vigils
When I was at 30, I went after it thinking it would help get me further since I desperately needed a stronger battleship. Once I got it and I'm at 32 now, I can't go further than tier 2 w/out the black fleet memorial
OK, here is an Example, Ops 42, most of the research for the lvl, PMC, Pike T4 lvl 20 others maxed. T9 Sarco with the non-weapons added lower deck Hugh, Odo T1 lvl 5, Tendi, Mariner T2 lvl 10. Sarco reads 15 million. I could hit 6 lvl 44 Fed Explorers OR two lvl 43 scouts.
I also took my max Auger and hit 8 44 explorers, And 8 fed interceptors of lvl 43 or higher since I couldn't find a scout of the level. maybe 5% hull loss hull repair time was 1/4 the tome of the Sarco.
Don't waste ship XP on the Sarco unless you plan to max it for whatever reason. use your Ship XP events to lvl up ships that you are scrapping.
Hey Rev. When you do these videos and show which system you're in, has that ever backfired?
give sarco a cloaking device she could still be something for the lvl30s in the younger servers just don't go crazy on upgrading overall won't miss much without her

as someone who just worked through the low 40s, my controversial take is that the jellyfish is also outdated, dead content. The periodic event is its only saving grace but I'm not sure thats enough
Sarco sux. But I still park it on a node during defense to give my opponent an opportunity for target practice.
how does it compare now when a fair amount of people will have a g3 epic or higher im guessing it will be creamed in a battle with the likes of g4 or g5 or g6 ships
Throw Badgy as captain and OPC hunt enemies as a slap in their face.

i hope your list of outdated ships is avabile soon, don't want to spend hard gain rewards on dead end ships.

Man, the poor Sarcophagus did it's job in the beginning, but fell off really quickly.
It didn't even do its job then. It was too slow.

I will scrap my sarc as soon as I can. Completely outmatched vs. Pilum, etc.
the impluse speed isn't much worse than any other battle ship
The next main arc should be discovery! Update away scopely
without watching the video - no its not useful. but i wouldnt be too surprised if there will be a sarc-a later this year

Agreed with dead content. Every game has it. Like the hijacked ships. They could make those soo cool, but they didn't.
Well, sarcophagus is best when ppl want to cheese PvP events , I’ve seen many using the sarco as a realta sponge . Otherwise , ya it’s the sad truth, today it has no value
which is why Scopely started restricting PvP events to ships based in your Ops level. can't be allowed to complete an event without wasting millions/billions/trillions of resources.

The Sarco is fantastic pre ops 40 servers. It's near unbeatable for it's intended use. But yeah otherwise it's a trash ship.
By the time i got the sarco......my other ships were better at pvp.
Don't use it anymore. Can't even protect nodes anymore.
