  • Jim, SnowDogg Tech at Buyers, walks you through the wiring and installation of our Illuinated LED Guides. This video covers every step of the install process, including how to route the wires through the plow ribs and up the frame. This install is done on a SnowDogg v-plow, but the same basic process should apply for most snow plows.
NOTE: Most plow installations require the mounting brackets (part number 1308126), sold separately.

Pro Tip: Be sure to leave some extra wire along the rear of the plow and A frame so that when the plow trips it won't rip out your wiring.

Great idea, oh and for $130 the brackets could be included. What is this, Harley Davidson...

They're great until they start blowing fuses and need to be replaced. Wiring just inside the marker breaks and shorts out. Have replaced at least half a dozen with faulty wiring

Thank you for your feedback. I will pass this faulty wiring issue along to our engineering team for further review.

That's awesome, Greg! Be sure to send us a pic of yours on Facebook (facebook.com/buyersproducts) once you have them installed. We used 1308128, the 28" guides, in this video.

Want a better solution? One that works better, and is easier on the eyes and much more reliable? Buy orange plow markers and install them. Buy a quality ditch pod (I like Aurora flood or diffused) and mount them (ditch pods are mounted where the hood meets the bottom of the A pillar) Boom. You now have better plow lighting, and when the ditch pods are illuminated they light up the orange plow markers similar to lighted markers without the annoying bright light and without the headache of having wiring run across your plow which has moving parts.

Nice stuff for sure, I have the Blizzard 8’-10’ with the retractable extensions, I would like to suggest protecting the wire in a conduit from the bottom of the light right across the inner top edge of the plow and down the center just like you did, only difference is by protecting the wire in a flexible conduit all the way back to the plow lights.

I used 3/8 fuel line with shrink tubing on both ends. Then mounted the fuel line using 1/2" rubber P clamps. Weather and vibration proof.

@@BuyersProductsCompany point of the comment is why would you not include these with the purchase of the markers, why are you making people make an additional purchase for a mounting bracket which is required to install. It I purchase a big screen tv, I don’t have to purchase the power cord and remote separately! What your doing is a joke

@@MyGreenLawn2019, I apologize for the confusion, but I did look into this matter further. The original design of the LED Guides did NOT have the adapter included. However, there was a redesign in 2021, and now the adapters are included with the purchase of the LED Guides. Did you happen to recently purchase the product? Thanks! -Lucas

@@BuyersProductsCompany I have not purchased the product and after looking at the reviews and the cost of your product, I will be looking for an alternative. I’m happy to see you are finally including the mounting bracket, it’s the right thing to do!
