Rightly or wrongly, I prefer the term “differently abled”. It’s not as tho these people don’t have abilities, it’s just that their abilities are different from those we might consider “mainstream”.
I believe Scott with YT channel Southern Homestead Transformation did a couple vids on building the yellowish bldg on the right side. If I recall correctly, his stepson works there or has. I want to say he is Autistic.
Very nice of you to do all this work. I’m sure it means more to the org than you will ever know.

Once you have a thumb, it's really hard to function without it. You improvised very well. Good to see folks donate their time and talents to help those in need. Most folks without any disabilities have no idea what those with disabilities go through every day. I have 2 twin grandchildren with Autism and one of them with Cerebral Palsy. It's a daily challenge. Thanks for posting and what you do. Fan from Arkansas.

I know it would be an extra little bit of work, but when you come across very large greenhouses like this I think you should just tear off the plastic, and take out the metal, and mulch all the wood. Not only would it be beneficial to the environment, but I think just maybe you'd get a little happiness out of it knowing you've helped out the planet that supports all of our lives (plus I know how you enjoy watching the chips fly 😂).

I worked with a similar nonprofit group. The people I worked with there were happy to have a job to go to. To feel like other adults who had purpose every day. They were not always high productivity, they needed the work broken down into smaller tasks. But they were clear about the need to feel like other adults who went to work. We we could pay these workers thru a formula based in productivity. It was a real job.

Sometimes, Tractor Supply has a lot of hydraulic hoses in stock, and I think (some will make hoses in store) if they have the machine to do it, or, you can go to Harbor Freight and buy the machines and hoses and make what you need yourself, because when a hose finally lets loose, it's ar the most inappropriate time
