  • Recently moved to southern AZ and decided to intercept a flash flood after heavy rain fell on the west side of Tucson AZ. This flood was generated in urban areas within and around Tucson and ended up in the Santa Cruz river. A disgusting display of human waste. We can do better than this.

This is one of the reasons why I’m personally annoyed when people throw their trash out of a car window. It adds up and has to go somewhere, folks!

Yeah, monsoon was late this year, river hadn’t run in a while. Storms around Tucson are small but they can pop up fast hit localized areas very hard. Train on the tracks next to I-10 got derailed in a flood last year

This video was a very interesting contrast to all your previous videos that I've watched over many years! Welcome to the urban area :-( ... it just goes to show that you can continue to follow your interests and portray them for us to see, but sadly it's not so beautiful to see a flood of trash. Good title ryhme though :-)

That is sad to see. Citys seem to be more trashy all the time.

Where did all the garbage come from? Campgrounds maybe?

Some day when the government makes them put a 5 or 10 deposit on every plastic bottles or jugs you'll never see another floating down the river.

It's sad that Mother Nature has to clean up after us. By now we should be better at this.

Last time we had flash flooding, our garbage cans were out all down our village. Garbage bags were everywhere and down the gullies as well. Thank you for your good work.

I saw one garbage can in the video, along with 2 full trash bags. It probably contributed some, not much. Mostly styrofoam cups and plastic containers.

Fucking disgusting, submit this video to the local government and force them to sort it out.

Egad! Trash flood, indeed. It looked like some of it hadn't been discarded, but rather washed away from the owner's possession. The cooler and trash can, for instance.

It’s only a matter of time before Mother Nature finishes the job...2020 is just the start!

Ugh, that's just sad. Hope wherever all that trash ends up can be cleaned up.

At least a recycling bin seems to have flown down as well which will be convenient if we clean it up

I kept looking for NPS management in that trash flood. I guess even trash has standards. LOL
