Out of every studio that deserves some slack for an issued launch, GSC should be at the top of the list. Making a game after having to flee a Russian invasion of their country, having multiple Russian cyberware attacks happen as well as not having the same funding because of their upheaval, it's completely understandable that the studio might have not been able to sand off all the edges as much as they would have liked.
Plus there are plenty of games that critics review and don’t even talk about the bugs. EA sport FC25 for example is a complete mess of a game and no one talked about all the bugs in reviews.

Never notice until now how much Barrett looks like he's from the Lollipop guild from Wizard of Oz 😂
I have played about 5 hours of Stalker 2 and I am yet to see any bugs or technical issues outside of an inconsistent frame rate. I have also noticed that some of the bugs Mike mentioned in the review are not bugs at all. For instance he mentioned how guns are sometimes tilted when you aim down sights. This isn’t a bug, it’s just what happens if you try to aim when you’re too close to a wall or NPC.
I’m straight addicted to Stalker 2. Biggest issue is the performance is kinda garbage, even on a 4090 and 5080X. It’s playable, but far from smooth sadly. The game is still enjoyable and there is a 10/10 under all the jank. The game will definitely age like Cyberpunk
If a developer gives you a buggy game for review, that's on them. I understand release windows, deadlines etc. But if you are capable of making such a drastic change in such a short amount of time it seems like they're walking on the razors edge. Give your developers more time, give the reviewers the work that you want the world to see and experience. We can wait a week. We can wait a year. It doesn't need to be flawless so long as those flaws aren't going to be in the headlines of reviews.
Imagine working so hard under so many unthinkable conditons, only to releae a buggy, kinda broken mess. It makes me feel bad for them. Maybe the giant mega publisher that owns Game Pass shouldnt have pushed so hard for release. Is it really worrth the bad pr Phil? I dont blame the devs, this is on all on Mircrosoft.
It's a 100% fan voted award show, feels weird for it to win when it wasn't nominated for anything other than art direction (which it also won). Can't help but feel like the Chinese voters showed up for that one specifically. It's a good game, but......really?
@ Yes really. You can’t overestimate the cultural importance of the source material. I can understand if you are not familiar with Journey to the West how it could just come off as just a good game. However if you are in the know the game comes off as a masterpiece at least that’s my standpoint. When you finish that game when a certain thing happens if you know you know it’s a moment I will never forget but again just my opinion.
If half your podcast is going to be reading other people's news articles and press releases, can someone on the team please learn how to read things out loud?
@TheRealMangolorian nobody on the kinda funny team can read things out loud to save their lives. Just listen to how Blessing or Greg read press releases. They can't do it without sounding awkward.
Press releases are often pretty awkward, but it's also the fact that they are often reading things for the first time, if they could rehearse the entire show before going live I'm sure they would feel more natural, but is that really worth it?

Omg I love Parris 🤣
I absolutely love Paris too! But goddamn that gremlin energy with Greg!
I played stalker 2 yesterday and didn’t notice any major bugs , only things I noticed was the occasional pop in or wall flicker ,
16:22 reading between the lines it sounds to me like he's angling to be on the payroll for that drop in ;)
Stalker 2 just made me wanna play Metro. So I redownloaded Exodus and uninstalled Stalker 😅
S/o Cool Greg chillin like a villian.🎉🎉🎉
I played for an hour and it's cool. Nothing new or groundbreaking, but it's fun. I'm still gonna wait a few months, until it's finished and improved.
Hopefully they add a deadzone setting soon, the game is pretty much unplayable for me at the moment

Me either!! I got a 4070 ti super too. Not the 4090 and it runs fine so far for me. A little shuddering sometimes but that's it
Really enjoying stalker 2. I loved Metro, but I prefer Stalker.

Maybe the game should've been fixed prior to coming out?
It’s 2024. 95% of games aren’t completed until 6 months after release.
@BasketCase-rr7tx so true, but that doesn't make it okay. We all just tolerate it now
@@BLonsdale912 It was made by a bunch of people fleeing from an invasion of their homes. I think we can give them some slack.
@@J_Tevo which is awful obviously. But doesn't change the fact they should have just delayed it until ready
I feel like it kinda does.
Black Myth Wukong Golden Joystick GOTY 😁
But Kinda funny keep saying the combat is bad! 😂
But the combat is bad😅
@@howdydutt1e Personally I thought it was fantastic and had so much depth. I was still unlocking new combat options after 60 hours.
