If this gets released I just hope people that are saying it's amazing actually buy her music! We gotta stick by this girl she's too talented to fade away Agree? ?
People are always the same. They say nice things, and them forget about them. But I agree Alex needs strong fanbase which will buy her material. Alex herself is amazing :3
Ukaszenkooo I've been waiting for this too (she sang it live during a fan web chat)! I really do hope this isn't the finished product. PROS: - Her voice is incredible - The lyrical content is very strong, stronger than anything she released on her last album - The chorus is powerful and haunting, particularly on the "No More You" section, which is supported by subtle baritone background vocals. The volume on this vocal support and the general production should be increased a pinch here. CONS: - The blend is a bit muddy, specifically in the verses. The production comes across as amateur. Her voice may be overpowering the production, which is separating her voice from the rest of the song (not in a good way). - The transition into the chorus is abrupt. There is an attempt at a building transition, but it's not audible. - I would recommend getting rid of the choir in the pre-chorus; it detracts from the song. - The final chorus is not tuned correctly. There are a few instances where it sounds like she ends the phrase sharp. Also, the production is weak here and does not support her as her vocals climb. - I would recommend that they take out the head voice note at 4:13 or that Alex go back to the studio to do something crazy with it, that we haven't heard. Alex has developed a habit of jumping to her head voice when singing over the final chorus. In this case, her chest voice may be better suited to the tone of the song, much like "The Silence".
Well yes, when I first heard it on this live event I was like '' wooooah are you kidding me? This is amazing '' but it was live performance. The production on in the studio version is not that strong, as you said. But. If the production was better, this song could slay. But I like it anyway. It sounds really good to me :)
wow alex you killed it, will buy the album
OMG...her voice is so beautiful!! can't wait for the new album!!
