In this video my Rover 75 (R40) Connoisseur receives damage and needs the services of a paint shop..

Hugely enjoyable as ever. Your love and enthusiasm for the 75 is great to see and hear. Fingers crossed I should be getting my X plate, 2.0 V6 Auto Classic SE back in the next week or so after a lengthy lay-up for various repairs and refurbs. All I need to do first is buy myself a flat cap!

Yes it proves that all the miles I’ve driven, the vehicles, and an advanced test… still can make a mistake. I am also happy Fran is as supportive about the cars as I am and enjoy filming videos with her more than on my own (of course).

Great you got the paint sorted on the sill as well. Annoying when these things happen, I reversed my mx5 into a fence outside our CO OP, tiny car as well
It was an easy decision when I was at the paint shop to get the sill done also. Yes too easy to make a mistake. Even at my age.
Just had my head gasket done yesterday on my 1.8 VVC and I love the torque in it. A much maligned engine but very misunderstood and I suspect that’s perhaps by those with no experience of them. Enjoy your car, I can appreciate what you get from it albeit I’ve never had or driven a 75 but there’s time yet.
I haven’t driven a VVC yet. I love the k-series… 1.8 through to the 2.5 KV6. Thanks for watching and your comment.
In a way, its better to cause the damage yourself than for some unknown other person to do it! But, at least its all fixed now!
I know what you mean. It did mean I got the sill done too which I may have left otherwise.
So happy to see you two at it again, Every sentence is golden, I could respond to them all, Love Fran and her many attributes, she's a lovely Lady and has a wonderful naughtiness to her, what bloke doesn't love that, I do think that pesky strap needs cutting off, maybe remove them both, I'm 99% sure all would be well lol.

Oh and we are supposed to be talking Rover 75, well at least it was you that did it Paul, at least you don't have to wonder who did it and doesn't have the balls to own up, that can be frustrating, The finished job looks spot on and its nice you took care of that sill.
I know you were looking at saying bye to Reggie recently, I'm so glad you've decided against that, I'm such a big fan of quality cars for all the reasons you mentioned about this particular car in this video, its just feels right. Reggie is a Bentley for horse n cart money, Enjoy every moment.
Oh if only you really knew… 😂 Fran is great and I do appreciate the support she gives. As for that strap… maybe that’s giving too much support 🤭
Also, back to the 75, I agree with you 100% that I would rather it be done by me than a person who doesn’t have the balls to own up. At least it’s all done now and it prompted me to get round to having the sill done.
Back to Fran, I will have a chat with ‘wardrobe’ and see what we can do 👍
