In 7th grade I got my period during 4th hour and bleed through my school pants, I took my hoodie off and tied it around my waist. I asked my male teacher if I could go call home, he looked at me and walked towards me and whisper to me “go head sweetheart”. When I got back to the classroom, he came back to me and whispered “I understand whats happening Bc of my daughters and Bc of my wife, but I also understand Bc you never take your hoodie off in my class so I figured that it was that time of the month” he gave me chocolates before I left

I got my first period in the middle of math class. I had nothing with me and cried in the bathroom for half an hour, went to the nurse he was not having it. He interrogated me, I was on the verge of tears so I returned to the bathroom to hide. My history teacher saw me asked what happened and I flat out told her. She was pissed, she called my mom on her cell phone and told me to sneak out through the back door, she a real one. But this video made me feel a lot more confident about everything, thank you.
You should've went straight to the office to call your parents! And if you were scared it would leak. Tie a jacket/sweater around ur waist

My cheer coach is SO understanding when it comes to periods. She also makes sure she brings a bag with pads and liners. She made it CLEAR that we can always come to her.

I used to have pretty bad cramps in hs, I remember grabbing the table because I couldn't handle the pain and now I don't care being on my period, the cup changed my life

I never could sympathize with other girls who had horrible cramps. I never have them horribly. Most of the time, I never have cramps with my period. My period is my favorite time of the month most of the time except for the bleeding part. I take two ibuprofen on my first day of my period when I do get cramps sometimes, then I am fine the rest of my period. I didn't start needing pain meds for cramps until I was an adult
I got really bad cramps too, but in middle school.. To the point where I almost CRIED

I got my first period in 7th grade in the middle of a reading test and asked to go to the bathroom. Luckily I knew it was going to happen and had pads with me but the teacher said there were already 2 girls in there. She knew I would not cause any trouble. She told me to sit my ahole back down and I sat there for another 45 mins silently crying until the class was over. I had blood dripping down the back of my legs. When the teacher saw she started apologizing for what she had done and said the next day told the entire class why girls should just walk out of the classroom if they need to. Also during the 45 mins I blacked out for a couple of secs and the teacher didn't notice. :( RIP my sanity and confidence

Once I r,y needed to pee at school, it was in an art lesson and we were STANDING round the table watching what she was doing so we knew what to do and she said i could go to the toilet after she had finished, she took ages and this sounds like im 5 but I legit peed myself and it was so awkward. I ran out crying and when I came back everyone was silent and staring at me

When I was 9, i started my period at MY OWN BIRTHDAY. I was a huge space-lover at the time and we went to a space museum for my birthday. All my friends came, including some boys. We were having a blast staring at all the planet models until Bam. I felt something in my underwear. I told my mom and we shuffled away to the bathroom. I just saw the blood and i think i must've passed out or something. My mom didnt have her period until extremely late, and even then she had to have it medically induced, so she was not at all expecting me to start that early. She hastily told me about what a period was, gave me one of her emergency pads in her bag and we returned to the group. I completely forgot about it later and only remembered when our car seats were stained on the way home. Afterwards, I was given apropper talk about menstruation and it's been extremely regular since. My mum and i are so different in that way. After 40 years of having her period, my mum still cant rely on tracking it, only just guessing, but mine could be tracked TO THE HOUR, seriously.

My mom used to cheer me up when I was on my period. I remember 2 years ago I was about to take a shower and forgot to take a pad with me. she kindly said I'm going to get you a new pad. I was so happy 😊

I have some tips for your cramps
1. Avoid cold drinks.
2.Hydrate.
3.Use heating pads if at home.
4. Keep an ibuprofen on you, but ONLY for emergencies. Ibuprofen can weaken your immune system.
5. Find healthy alternatives for your cravings to prevent cramps. For example if you’re craving sugar have honey.
6. Yes, DRINK HERBAL TEA! Especially ginger lemon tea, it is VERY good for you.
My period story
I was 13 and at the dentist and felt the 'thing' I thought that i had accidently peed. I got home after 2 hours and finally used the bathroom. The blood was brown so I thought that I pooped my pants and changed. After about 3 hours I used that bathroom and then finally it clicked. I WAS A WOMAN. (My mom had gotten me a whole period kit months before this period the kit had: Organic pads, reusable pads, a journal, and nighttime period underwear.) I decided to tell my mom in the morning but I was sooo nervous and texted my bestie instead. She convinced me to tell my mom. My mom was soo excited for me and + no chores and my bestie gave me a VIP card:
"Coupon for starting ur period:
No work for today since it’s ur FIRST DAY
expires tonight''

I got mine right before I turned 12. The first one was really light and short so I got away with just toilet paper in my underwear. The next month though it was heavier and I decided there wasn’t anything I could do but tell my mom, so I sucked it up and did. I knew she’d be understanding it was just kinda embarrassing talking about it for the first time.
OMG, once I got such a bad period cramp that I skipped school for 2 days and I was in so much pain I couldn't even walk or anything bc of how painful it was.

OMG, so something like this happened to me. So it was a week before my period and I was having so much bad pain I couldn't walk move etc, so then my parents didn't know this happened, so then I told my best friend (which is a boy) he was so nice and caring when this happened then I called my girls none of them were available then so it was just me in pain. Then when I got my period I was dying in pain and started to not breathe much so I ended up staying in cold weather so it would numb my body a bit then I tried to walk around slowly to get around. 😢

I found her today and I’m addicted.
I was at cheer camp and i started my period with no supplies. My period is really heavy and the camp was from 8am to 7pm. I bled through a panty liner (that was the only thing i had and only 1) underwear, Spanks, and my cheer uniform. I had a red spot and had to go home early. My coach was mad at me for leaving early and then my mom emailed her about the situation and she was completely ok about it.
I was in high school on the last day of school trip, we went back to England from Paris by coach, I started my period and got terrible cramps, the coach stopped half way through at a shopping centre for us to have a break, I ended up throwing up and having diarrhoea in the bathroom for an hour because the cramps was so bad, and my friends were waiting outside for me the whole time, I asked my male teacher if I could get heat pads from my luggage, not only he said yes, he also let me use the toilet on the coach even though the sign said “out of order”.

I got my period really early, I was in 4th grade.
Story:
Okay so basically I felt like I was peeing, so I quickly looked at my underwear (without anyone noticing) and I saw my I was bleeding from…. That part. I started crying, so my history teacher(let’s call her Ms. history) came and asked me what’s wrong. I said I was bleeding from below my stomach. She told the class she was leaving for a minute. She gave me her coat and wrapped it around my waist. I said my stomach hurt too(it was cramps) and I couldn’t walk. I walked very slowly and she came with me to the nurse. Ms history explained to me what a period is and when it happens (and mood swings, hormones and stuff). I was disgusted, but I said okay. The nurse gave me pads but I didn’t know how to put them on and he was a boy. So Ms history came in the bathroom with me and showed me how to put them on (that was really awkward). Ms history was honestly the best teacher ever. Ms history, if your reading this, thank you so much for helping me on my first period!!

oh my gosh.. i have the best first-tampon use story.. it’s horrible because i thought i was using it correctly and i embarrassed myself in front of the entire school..
okie dokie let’s start.
so when i was in 7th grade (not even that long ago 😳) i was in my school musical in the ensemble. and of course (like ALWAYS) i got my period on the most important days. the days of the show.
and i’m like “ooh! ima try a tampon. for the first time. on the first show. without a pad or anything.”
i think you can guess how that went. now my school auditorium has like over 500 seats, and after the first few scenes, i could feel the tampon slipping out (THAT MEANS ITS NOT IN RIGHTT DUHHH)
so while i’m changing my outfit for another scene in the dressing room (aka the choir room) i see blood dripping down my legs. and so does EVERY OTHER GIRL IN THE ROOM. and my shorts are soaked in blood. and the room we are in doesn’t have a restroom, so i had to run to the nearest bathroom, grab a pad and somehow not get blood onto my next outfit. yea, well i did get blood on my jeans that i wore TO DANCE INNNN!!! so that was the first day of the preformance.
we did the show 3 more times. and i did the same thing each one of those times.
i swear i had to have been the stupidest person to repeat that mistake..

My year six teacher told us about a student she had a few years before, he was friends with a big group of girls and was super popular. He would bring in pads and tampons and share them with anyone who needed them, he normalised periods so much that it became a completely ordinary topic of conversation not only amongst the girls, but the boys as well. And I must say, that kid is going places in life
that boy was raised right. I'm going to try and raise my future sons (if I have any) to do that
I have done the thing where I'm not bleeding but I'm still wearing pads. Not to that extent, but still. I've been terrified of bleeding through since 8th grade, when I had an 8 week long period.

My female coach did the same thing to me in middle and high school gym class and I would just sit out no matter what she said even when she threatened to give me zeros for the day. I refused to bleed everywhere especially since my period was heavier than all the other girls I grew up with.
When I was in eighth grade my school set a rule that banned students from going to the bathroom during classes. Their reasoning was that ‘students have plenty of time to use the facilities in between classes’. We had a five minute break between each class so we could use the bathroom and grab our books before class and a lot of students had asked to use the bathroom during class to skip without getting an absence.
I don’t think that this rule was supposed to apply to periods but some teachers took it way too seriously and wouldn’t let any students leave class to use the facilities, leading to girls and others bleeding through their pants, trying to argue with the teacher. Multiple parents complained about the rule since it caused them to have to leave their place of work to bring clean clothes to their children and quite simply because using a toilet is a right, not a privilege.
The rule has now been revoked and the school has found other ways to stop students from skipping class by asking to use the bathroom.

One of my guyfriends was going to the bathroom (he was new to the school) and so he walked in and noticed that there werent any urinals. He thought nothing of it, so he went in the stalls. He noticed that there were little trash cans in each one. When he walked out, he saw a bunch of girls standing there and he realized that he was in the girls bathroom. He told me this story, it was hilarious!

to keep a long story short, some schools switch bathrooms because of the student ratio. i too have been confused with the lack of urinals once in a school i was visiting and thats what they told me
damn already 14 parts these make me feel better. once i did the splits in a class and ripped my pants and my blood got on the floor it was so bad.

My 2nd period was in school, somehow I had presence of mind to function properly, n I just asked the teacher super timdly if I can go to the nurses office, she just let me go without any question nor did she bother asking me why I took soo long or that I missed her class or any of it, cus seriously if I was in any of these situations I would have badly fcked up, kudos to those who dealt with this bs.

I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!! YEY! Here is my story :)
So I was in my 7/8 class (right after lunch) and I got my period. I asked to use the restroom. The MALE TEACHER SAID "you had all this time and now you need to go? No Ofc no." So I asked him "how am I supposed to control my blood? You are a teacher I thought you knew all of this." The whole class was so quiet. I jus started at the teacher and I was like "bro really? You don't know how I feel." At this point my cramps were getting worse so I was like frick it! Then I got up and used the bathroom and then I went to the office and complained. They said I was being over dramatic. So I asked if I can call my freaking mother and they asked me why. I said " it's because I would like to let her know all of about this." They agreed and then my mom started to yell at them and then asked my dad to come over and I won the battle just like that.
Here are my top three WORST PLACING TO GET MY PERIOD!
3: At a families house hold where is its not my house. 2: At a store or anything public. AT NUMBER ONE IT'S SCHOOL!

I highly recommend the June Cup, it is cheaper than a box of tampons and a bag of pads. It is only $6 and I have NEVER leaked, even wearing them for 12 hours on heavy flow days. No more worrying about a tampon string bothering you or worrying about others being able to seeing your pad. Try it, you won’t regret it.

I get a depo shot for endometriosis and horrible painful periods that would make me bleed for a month or two at a time. But in high school, it was first hour of my junior year and the class was geometry. I hated it, I was failing. I was on my period and sitting with my head down on the desk not doing anything. Side note, this was a teach yourself kind of class and teacher. So I was sitting there doubled over in pain, waiting for the bell so I could go change my super flow tampon and overnight pad that I had already bled through. I changed them when I got up at 7:30 am and it was 9. This MALE teacher comes over to me and asks me why I am not doing anything and just have my head down. I told him loud enough for people to hear, because I hated him and wanted to embarass him that I was on my period and having horrible cramps. He told me that "he understood" but that I needed to still do my work anyway. I gave him the most "if looks could kill" death glare that I have ever given anyone. How dare you as a man, try to tell me that you understand just because you are married and have a wife. That doesn't count. Screw you. The whole school for the rest of the day and week knew I was on my period and I didn't care.
Here’s a funny story.
We were testing for school and my friend was getting a tampon out of her backpack. She slipped it in her sleeve and the boy sitting next to her said, “Can I have some?” Thinking that it was food. She wrote a note to her friends (sadly not me because I was all the way across the room) telling them about it. The teacher saw them passing the note and she took it up. She was going to read it but decided not to after seeing what it was about. One of the best school experiences ever!

I told my friends that I got my period and so I was slouching over because of cramps and my friends that hadn’t even gotten their period and said that I was overreacting and that I was trying to act special when all I asked was for them to be nicer I immediately left those friends that was a terrible friendship

If you want i have some advice
Whenever you get discharge, tell ur mom and keep pads with you (wherever you go)
Always let a friend know when you start because they will understand and give things like pads or sweater to cover the stain

ALWAYS carry period products with you. You never know when mother nature will strike😭😭. One of my biggest tells before i get my period is if i’m really snappy and crabby towards everyone (mood swings). but others may experience things like bloating, breakouts, cramps, cravings (i get cravings lol) etc.

I was arguing with my male teacher about allowing me to go to the bathroom when needed. I was walking out of the class and he yelled at me to get back in the classroom,
then the female principal came into the class and took my side in the argument. He was fired.
She starts reading the stories at 1:53. Story at 4:40: The teacher deserved it when he got fired.
Story at 6:29: The teacher should've been fired. Story at 8:03: The girl made the right decision when she dumped her boyfriend. Story at 15:14: The coach deserved it when she got fired.
So this one time me and my friend (N) were on the bus, and I got my period there right before we got off into the school, so I ask her ‘do you have any pads” and she gave me one. When I went into the classroom after my teacher asked why I was late, I said “lady problems” and she looked at me, said I should’ve “been prepared” and then said “you know I could write you up for this” as if I could control my flow.
Remember when I got mine - last day of school until Christmas break, got it at lunch but only realised when I got home 😑 by now nearly all of my friends has gotten it so I was relieved but I will never go through a painless month for at least the next 30 years...
Right before my year 6 camp, the teachers were telling us to make sure we bring period packs to camp just in case. At this point I had already gotten my period so I wasn't worried abut it and I said that it was like a 5% chance someone will get their period on camp. On the second last day of camp, my friend got her first and a couple of hours later, mother nature decided it was a good idea for payback and I ended also getting my period that day

This was recent. I went to the nurse feeling like I had a uti and I was having a horrible stomach ache for the past week and on continuing till this day. She asks “have u had ur period yet?” And I was like no.. she gave me Tylenol (I have it for headaches so i just took it) and then I went back to class and felt a little off so went to the restroom. I went and had the uti feeling but wiped and there was blood. I told my friend once I got home and she was like uhhh yea tell ur mom. Now I get my 2nd next week :,D
I got my second this month I'm no expert but I think eating chocolate helps oh and when u take a pill it works faster when u lie on ur left side

One time in 8th grade I asked the teacher to use the bathroom and they said yes. I grabbed my little wallet bag thingy that I kept my pads in at the time and got up. Then one of the boys asked out loud “why are you bringing your phone??” This was before I realized it’s not a big deal to talk about periods so socially awkward middle school me just said “I’m not..?” This is thankfully all I got because some of these holy cow lol.

When I was in my second year of high school, I asked my male teacher to use the bathroom. When he asked why, I said I was on my period and I had severe cramps. He walked up to my desk and had the AUDACITY to say that I had to handle it better. That wasn’t even the worst part. He SLAPPED ME, and I passed out. Then he took me to the principal and claiming that I SLAPPED HIM. Then I got suspended for a month. The best part of this is that he got fired and got fired from working at the school.

My school keeps super cheap pads in the bathroom. They are kinda itchy but the fact that hey do this is amazing because when I don’t have something I don’t have to ask around. Plus it’s so discreet to just grab one out of the bucket and just go about your business.
my school has boxes of pads and tampons in the girls bathrooms (all of them) and they are like super good

My private school has a whole shelf full of period supplies, wipes at a lot more like it has tampons cups. It has pad and stuff and if you forget your period of class, there is tons of supplies in there and with extra clothing in case you leak my teacher even has some in her bottom drawer of her desk, because she is a woman and she has female students< 3

I nearly threw a tampon at his head and slapped him into next week 😂

This one just happened to me today and I really would like you to read it. I was on the bus sitting next to my best friend, and my butt starts to feel wet, so I look down next to me on the seat, and there is blood everywhere! I told my friend, and she said that she would walk me down to the nurses office. I went to the nurses office with blood on my pants my sleeves in my backpack. I went to the nurse and explained what happened. I went to the bathroom. Just realize that I wasn’t even on my period and yet the blood was fresh and wasn’t there before…

I was at school over the summer helping my band teacher clean her room because she my favorite teacher. She shares an office with my chorus teacher, after a while of cleaning and organizing my chorus teacher came in she was real mad,and she said “look at my outfit” me and my band teacher looked at her kinda confused and then she said that her husband had to drive her a new pair of pants ( they live an hour away) and my band teacher says “why?” (She doesn’t get her period anymore, she’s not old but she has a ton of health stuff) and she goes my period came, and it was like it was mad. Not sure if anyone is gonna see this but this comment is help with period pains! I’m on the pill so I only have it once every 2 months cause of my blood and pain, but depending on where you live (i’m in australia) there is this tablet called PONSTAN u can take to literally relieve 80% of cramps you have 2 pills when you initially feel ur cramps and with food like breakie/dinner and in between that have panadol or nurofen! Hope it helps whoever reads this xx

9:30 I never understood this issue....you know, there is a school nearby that has completely locked school toilets because they are a ''distraction''' and disruptive to learning. Yes, seriously. They have padlocks on the doors. Loads of schools in UK has done thiis.....because it encourages bad behaviour. I must say, schools are very weird at the moment, they have become 1984 a bit, but the toilet thing though is nuts.

I was in the boarding school , it was a Saturday and I got my period, my roommate went to her mum’s place. The cramps was so bad so I decided to take a hot shower, the room ran out of oxygen since I was there for too long and the steam was too much, I couldn’t breathe and see, I knew I was about to pass out so I quickly grabbed my towel opened the door and ran out. I didn’t care I was naked cause I didn’t wanna pass out and probably no one would have found out until evening since it was weekend.
I actually kept my period a secret from my mom for like three months because I had no idea how to tell her.

During the summer, I had my period on the way back from vacation. Later that night my cramps were so bad that I literally could not move an inch. I chose not to get up and later peed the bed while asleep. I was 10 going on 11, so I was too embarrassed to tell my mom. I woke up in the morning feeling like sh** and suddenly noticed the bed was wet. I was super embarrassed. 😅

I got my first right as i was walking to math and had to detour to the bathroom and make a pad out of toilet paper since our school doesn't provide pads or tampons, and it was the one day that I didn't bring my "just in case" bag because: "If it hadn't happened before, why would it happen today?" I had to rush to make it in time for a math quiz. I had a mental breakdown throughout the whole quiz because I was scared I would bleed on the chair, but I couldn't go to the bathroom because I needed to finish first. After the quiz was over with 5 minutes until my next class, I asked my teacher if I could use the restroom, asked a friend for a pad and finally after 50 minutes of nerves, was saved from the idea of stream of blood sliding down my leg.
My bff told this boy in our class (her cousin) she told him EVERYTHING about women’s bodies and periods and stuff like that and we were in 6th grade so long story short he stands up for us if we have our periods and he always is there for our down days thanks to my bff for teaching him about us 👏👏👏👏👏
